In Pursuit

Wednesday, July 24th, 2013

From time to time we all need to adjust our focus.  The demands of each day tend to determine what we think about.  For many it is about simply making a living and providing for the family.  However, over the years I find that as I apply Biblical principles in the course of my daily life, good things happen.  It is known as fruitfulness.  In Paul’s letter to Timothy, he focuses on daily living and the trap of greed and pursuit of wealth.  Wealth should be a fruit of your walk, not the focus.  If your calling demands larger funds, they will come.  If your calling requires less funds, don’t expect it.  Wealth is to be used as a tool, not as an end.  As parents we tend to want to accumulate as much as possible as a financial inheritance for our children when in fact they need to operate in their own fruitfulness, gifts, and calling.  When you promote the fact that their inheritance will sustain them, you may do them a great disservice.  Don’t get me wrong, helping them fulfill their purpose is a noble action but when they no longer see the need to be productive with their own gifts and calling, they have succumb to the love of money, or greed.  Paul states 1 Timothy 6:

6 Now godliness with contentment is great gain. 7 For we brought nothing into this world, and it is certain we can carry nothing out. 8 And having food and clothing, with these we shall be content.

9 But those who desire to be rich fall into temptation and a snare, and into many foolish and harmful lusts which drown men in destruction and perdition. 10 For the love of money is a root of all kinds of evil, for which some have strayed from the faith in their greediness, and pierced themselves through with many sorrows.

The pursuit of riches is foolish and harmful.  Money is a necessary aspect of operating but focusing on it for the sake of being rich will only lead to destruction and sorrow.  In our Census, there have been those who have sent extra coins for others who are not in a financial position to provide a coin.  This is how the Body of Christ is to function, each member supplying the Body in its own capability and capacity.  They know the source of their supply.

Paul continues:

11 But you, O man of God, flee these things and pursue righteousness, godliness, faith, love, patience, gentleness.

“Flee these things” is the command.  Don’t just casually walk away, turning back with a longing look.

Pursue righteousness: integrity, virtue, purity of life, rightness, correctness of thinking feeling, and acting.

Purse Godliness: reverence and respect for Our Heavenly Father by moving closer to HIM.

Pursue faith: conviction of the Truth, persuaded of the reality that Love prevails, knowing that HIS Word is true and will come to pass.

Pursue Love: the most primary aspect and characteristic of Our Heavenly Father.

Pursue patience: a patient enduring, sustaining, perseverance.  Quiet your mind.  Quit thinking those thoughts contrary to HIS Word.

Pursue gentleness: mildness, meekness, moderation.  Don’t be quick to judge or condemn others who are less mature.

These are actions we can choose to pursue or not.  It is our decision.

What is your focus?

Gold Futures Market moving toward disarray

Tuesday, July 23rd, 2013

The physical gold market is extremely tight to the point where the cash price is greater than the future price reflected in the paper market.  This is called backwardation.  This may decouple the two markets from each other.  Cash gold exchanges are cropping up in other countries around the world.

Turmoil will continue as the Fed continues to delay the reckoning that must occur.  The “Mother of all bubbles (Moab)” in the bond market will burst before long.  Some observers believe that gold will soar to $50,000 per ounce.  It that indeed happens, silver could soar to its classic ratio with gold of 16 to 1 thereby ascending to a price of $3,125 per ounce.

Morgan Stanley has $75 Trillion of derivatives on their books.  How in the world do you unwind that position?  The financial markets are highly unstable and finding the right security that will remain unaffected by the bursting of the Moab will be impossible.  The markets are now so interconnected, all paper investments will be in harm’s way.  You must find an investment that Bernanke cannot control.  You must reduce your leverage so that you can weather the collapse of markets when that black swan event triggers the bursting.  The correction will be violent and fast, just like the 2008 event.  The unsustainable debt must be liquidated.  The coming event will be severe.  No one but Our Heavenly Father knows how this will all play out.

When Moab plays out, men and women in their desperation will be looking for answers.  This is when Love will speak and provide true solutions, not just temporary, carnal ideas to sustain a failed lifestyle.  The Kingdom Infrastructure continues to be prepared for this eventuality.  The matured Remnant will be equipped with the answers mankind will finally seek.

Census Comment

Tuesday, July 23rd, 2013

During our last Bible Study broadcast, Dr. Speckhart had questions about the need for the census coins.  Ex. 30 gives us the reason for taking the coins at the time of census–to cover the nation from one census to the next.

The Ransom Money:

11 Then the LORD spoke to Moses, saying: 12 “When you take the census of the children of Israel for their number, then every man shall give a ransom for himself to the LORD, when you number them, that there may be no plague among them when you number them. 13 This is what everyone among those who are numbered shall give: half a shekel according to the shekel of the sanctuary (a shekel is twenty gerahs). The half-shekel shall be an offering to the LORD. 14 Everyone included among those who are numbered, from twenty years old and above, shall give an offering to the LORD. 15 The rich shall not give more and the poor shall not give less than half a shekel, when you give an offering to the LORD, to make atonement for yourselves. 16 And you shall take the atonement money of the children of Israel, and shall appoint it for the service of the tabernacle of meeting, that it may be a memorial for the children of Israel before the LORD, to make atonement for yourselves.”

The Poll Tax was called "atonement money" and a "ransom" to protect the people from divine judgment. Both words come from the same Hebrew term, kopher or kaphar, which mean "covering." In fact, our English word "cover" is derived from this Hebrew term.

The Poll Tax is essentially a tax on military-age men to cause them to recognize God’s lordship and headship in battle. Later, Samuel told the people, "the battle is the Lord’s" (1 Sam. 17:47). In other words, Jesus Christ is recognized as the top General of every military campaign. The Poll Tax represented the people’s recognition of His sovereignty, and it was a commitment to be obedient to His specific commands as well as His general laws of war.

If the people followed His leading, they would be divinely protected, for He would see to it that there were no casualties on their side. Thus, the battle of Jericho saw no Israelite casualties, but when Achan violated one of the laws of war, 36 Israelites died in the next battle (Joshua 7:5). The soldiers were covered by the Poll Tax in Moses’ final census, but when Achan violated the will (law) of God, others suffered for his sin. It is important to have an army of mature Christians only.

A beloved sister wrote me the following:

“Suppose that Father is getting ready to send out the reapers to gather out the tares from the nation.  We have had many times of census in this nation, going back many, many years, but not one coin was paid to cover us. Our Heavenly Father is well aware that believers and unbelievers alike are not covered in a lawful manner.  Maybe this could be like the dab of leavening affecting the whole loaf. I know that we are covered by the blood of Jesus, but the law states the half-shekel must be paid, and who knows the law better than the Law Giver.”

I find it interesting that many Christians have virtually no problem with paying the various taxes imposed by their country of origin where the money is often used for projects of virtually no value to the person paying the tax.  This is done virtually every single day of the year in one form or another.

Stephen Jones wrote:

David’s census is one of those real-life applications of the law of the census. The half-shekel requirement was not because God needed money, but because its payment recognized God as the Creator and Owner of all men. A half-shekel was only a day’s wage, but this token was a recognition that man was subordinate to God, and as such it was important.

In the case of David’s census, the story of judgment revealed a heart condition of rebellion in Israel.

Those of us who have been in this “training program” for decades understand the need to test the heart condition.  This Census we are conducting will have many ramifications attached to it.  I suspect the most important aspect will be to test the hearts of the aspiring overcomers.  I take these things very serious.  When Our Heavenly Father says to do something, I have learned simply to do it whether it makes sense to me or not.  HE always reveals HIS Divine Intent at some point.

Is the Census a test of your heart?  Is there some aspect of lawlessness to be dealt with?  David’s failure to receive the poll tax revealed his lukewarm view of the Law of Our Heavenly Father.  It was inconvenient, maybe no longer needed, etc.  Maybe he simply thought it was a waste of time.  These tests of the heart provide a perspective of priorities.  As I have said before, one of the easiest ways to assess a person’s priorities is to simply look in their checkbook… or credit card statement.  This Census may be a test of your faith.  If I knew the entire impact of this Census then none of us would need any faith to participate.  My job is to be faithful in accounting for all these coins and only act when instructed to do so.  I can make no assumption or have any discretion over the Census coins.  They will be held in the Treasury until further instructions arrive.  Can you imagine managing the Treasury for Moses or Joshua?  It was no small task.

Is this Census to be that required designation of righteousness in the midst of the lawlessness among the nations thus restraining the full impact of judgment due the nations?

Is this Census simply a test of your heart as a cheerful giver?

Is this Census a test of my heart as a “Treasurer”?

Will this Census have a major Spiritual impact soon?

Is this Census a test of whom you serve?  GOD or mammon?

These are all questions that will be answered or may become irrelevant as HE further reveals HIS Divine Intent to us.

Moses & Joshua needed a Brinks truck

Monday, July 22nd, 2013

We tend to move past some interesting tidbits when studying Scripture.  Our current Census has caused me to take a look at the “weight” of Our Heavenly Father’s Treasury based on the Census numbers in Numbers 26:

Total Coins 601,730
Total Wt 1 oz 37608.13 pounds
1/2 18804.06 pounds
1/4 9402.031 pounds

Even at 1/4 of an ounce, the total weight is over 4 1/2 tons.  Nothing is ever mentioned about the logistics of moving the camp 41 times before entering the Promised Land on the 42nd move.

Bankrupt Cities & Counties

Monday, July 22nd, 2013

In an interview with the Mayor of Detroit, he commented that there were 100 more cities in the same shape as Detroit.  There are many counties in the same predicament.  Historic assumptions for pension funds are no longer valid.  Interest rate increases are sure to damage the bond market which is a notable portion of the pension fund strategy.  What option does the Fed have but to continue the Quantitative Easing unless they want to burst the “pension” bubble as well.  There is not a plausible alternative without damaging “value” whether it be the U.S. Dollar, real estate perceived equity, stock market, bond market, etc.  The Fed hopes to allow slow inflation i.e. depreciation of the Dollar to fix the problem.  Holders of the Dollar may not let that happen.  Just how much more can the Fed create out of thin air before the market finally says “no more”?

The following graph provides perspective on cities that have shrinking populations:

Cities and counties base their revenue projections on perpetual growth.  Oops!

Sunday Afternoon Bible Study

Sunday, July 21st, 2013

Each Sunday at 3 PM Central Daylight Time in the U.S. we will have our Bible Study live on the Internet.  Servias Ministries offers this to allow our brothers and sisters around the world to pursue the most important characteristic of Our Heavenly Father with us.  HIS Love is the primary motivation in which all of creation is framed.  All aspects of understanding the depth of Scripture require us to view revelation from a standpoint of Love.
Notify your friends of our Bible Study and give them an opportunity to join us.  As the Revelation of Love expands our the globe, people’s lives will be transformed.

This week we will continue our study that follows Dr. Speckhart’s new book:  "Quantum and Non-Quantum States of the Lord Jesus Christ" and he is scheduled to be with us for the broadcast.

Surgery without overhead

Saturday, July 20th, 2013

Little did I realize that an Oklahoma-based operation is challenging the current healthcare paradigm.

By creating the Surgery Center of Oklahoma, Smith and Lantier have fought back not only at big hospitals, but also at big insurance. Smith says that “gigantic hospital bills” benefit both entities through what he called “claims repricing.” Say a hospital charges $100,000 for a procedure, but a health insurance company discounts that bill to $42,000. Smith explains that the insurance company can then say it saved the employer group $58,000 and charge a percentage for that savings. The hospital can write off the $58,000 it didn’t get.

“The hospitals use this fictitious loss to bolster their numbers when they apply to the federal government for reimbursement for uncompensated care,” Smith says. “You finally realize that the insurance companies are perversely inclined to seek out the most expensive hospitals they can find.”

That was another reason that the Surgery Center of Oklahoma put its prices online, not only to attract some self-funded businesses that would rather pay $4,000 for a procedure instead of $40,000, but also to “shine some light on what’s going on.”

See: http://www.surgerycenterok.com/

So let me get this straight, when I pay my 20% and the insurance pays 80%,  I actually may be paying the whole amount and the insurance pays virtually nothing but continues to collect my premiums and makes me feel relieved that I have insurance and don’t mind those annual increases?

Our Heavenly Father continues to expose “unequal weights and measures”.

Is the 2013 Crisis at hand?

Friday, July 19th, 2013

Is Our Heavenly Father setting the globe up for a transition?

GlobalEurope Anticipation Bulletin believes and reported that the 2008 crisis as a warning before that of 2013. All of the world’s regions won’t be affected the same way but all will suffer. According to LEAP/ E2020 the stages of this second crisis  as follows:

-end 2013, financial impact: collapse of financial markets especially in the US and Japan. Banks can no longer be saved by the states and BAIL-Ins are put in place;

-end 2013 / 2014 spreading to the real economy: The financial impasse causes / reveals a major world recession and the reduction of international trade;

-2014, social impact: The economic deterioration causes unemployment to explode, in the United States the dollar’s decline lowers the standard of living, riots mushroom everywhere;

-2014 political crisis: the governments of the most affected countries are under fire for their handling of the crisis, forced resignations and early elections are expected, if not coups;

-2014-2015, international management of the crisis: together Euroland and the BRICS impose a new international monetary system and lay down the basis of new global governance;

-2015: The least affected regions have exited the crisis definitively;

-2018: It will take the United States, the United Kingdom and Japan five years to purge themselves of the crisis with, ultimately, a greatly reduced standard of living and a considerable loss of global influence (resulting from their refusal to participate in the re-casting of global governance on new bases).”

Bankruptcies continue

Friday, July 19th, 2013

Pension Funds attempt to look out 50 years in their investment horizon.  The problem is that they are just a group of men taking their best educated guess.  In the 1980’s I had a life insurance policy that assumed long term rates to average 9%… wrong!  This was after the Federal Reserve had pushed rates up to 15% and above.  Now long term rates are pathetic and have lasted for 5 years due to another action by the Fed.  Detroit can thank the Federal Reserve in part for its bankruptcy.  Pension Funds are suppose to be self-funding based on the contributions of those who are now receiving checks.  However if you have financial bubbles popping everywhere, how can you properly invest the principal?  Money Managers used to look at “return on investment”.  Now they look at “return OF investment”.  There are no safe paper assets anymore.  You can thank the American Politicians for allowing banks to become casino operations.  The only assets with no intrinsic liability attached are gold, silver, oil, gas, farm land, and other tangible assets.

“Muni Retirees Face 90% Loss Under Detroit’s Pending "Free-Fall" Bankruptcy”

Wouldn’t you hate to wake up to that headline after spending 20-40 years as a city employee?

Preparation of the Remnant

Thursday, July 18th, 2013

Yesterday I mentioned the fact that the Remnant for the Age of Pentecost was fully trained before that Day arrived.  Their final training of 40 days was by Our Lord Jesus Christ.  In John chapter 20 we find another aspect of their preparation:

19  Then, the same day at evening, being the first day of the week, when the doors were shut where the disciples were assembled, for fear of the Jews, Jesus came and stood in the midst, and said to them, “Peace be with you.” 20  When He had said this, He showed them His hands and His side. Then the disciples were glad when they saw the Lord.

21  So Jesus said to them again, “Peace to you! As the Father has sent Me, I also send you.” 22  And when He had said this, He breathed on them, and said to them, “Receive the Holy Spirit. 23  If you forgive the sins of any, they are forgiven them; if you retain the sins of any, they are retained.”

People tend to look at the external signs as an indication of the “trigger” for the coming of the Kingdom.  Do you think that Our Heavenly Father is going to let Babylon fall with a Remnant who are not fully prepared?  HE hasn’t done that in the past and I don’t think HE will do it during this transition either.  You must ask yourself the following questions:

Do I have a full revelation of Love to the point where I see fruit of Love abounding in my life?

Do I have a revelation of the Law from Love’s perspective and can see why Our Heavenly Father invoked each Law for us to live by?

Do I understand the Divine Intent so that as Babylon falls I will respond in faith rather than fear?

Am I moving into unity with others with the same revelation or am I judging and remaining isolated or separated because they don’t have the revelation that I have?

Am I trying to change others rather than focusing on myself?

Am I clinging to the trappings of the current system or could I walk away from it today?

I believe that Jesus Christ will impart the necessary power and authority to the Remnant just before or as Babylon falls.  Those who are in unity will be empowered just like those who were in the Upper Room.  After His resurrection, Jesus breathed on the disciples.  He imparted a portion of His glorified life into them.  It was sufficient for the Age of Pentecost.  Our Heavenly Father breathed into Adam’s nostrils and gave him a glorified existence that lasted until the fall.  I believe that Adam walked in that state for 33 1/2 years.  After the fall, it took his body a long time to be overcome by death.

Our job is to prepare our vessels for the Purpose of the Remnant.  Our Heavenly Father has led us to provide the brethren with teachings to assist in this preparation.  Would you read an entire book for one new revelation?  I would and I do.  That is called thirsting and hungering after righteousness.  If Our Heavenly Father is in it, so am I.  This is why HE led us to publish the books offered at www.unity153.net.  This is why we offer them at no charge to those who have no resources.  This is why Stephen Jones at www.gods-kingdom-ministries.net writes blogs and books.  Are we infallible in our writings?  No, not yet.  However, I believe our intent is to line up with Our Heavenly Father’s Divine Intent.  The disciples spent 3 1/2 years following Jesus and had many occasions of “missing it”.  But once they were in their final training phase and breathed on, the fullness of their ministry came forth.  We need to focus on our own preparation, Our Heavenly Father will take care of the rest.  As I write this, I get ministered to by Our Heavenly Father so if I end up being the only one who reads these words, it is still worth it to me.  “Now is the time!”
