The Ultimate Sacrifice

Wednesday, December 14th, 2016

Jesus did what no other one could do when He fulfilled the Divinely inspired prophecy of Isaiah chapter 53 verse 5:

But He was wounded for our transgressions,
He was bruised for our iniquities;
The chastisement for our peace was upon Him,
And by His stripes we are healed.

Many of us have accepted salvation by His sacrifice which ultimately brought peace into our lives yet very few have embraced the Truth “by His stripes we are healed”.  My dear friend Dr. Vince Speckhart who practiced medicine for over 40 years would say “Our bodies are designed to live forever and they are designed to heal”.  If OUR CREATOR cannot heal the bodies HE created then who can?

Barriers of various types prevent us from being healed.  Jesus Himself desired all to be healed as He ministered in the Gospels.  He was and is willing to heal all our infirmities yet the healthcare industry continues to grow at an accelerating pace.  Don’t misunderstand me, I have nothing against doctors and they fulfill a need in today’s society.  I would not allow a loved one to suffer if they have not been healed by the prayer of faith.  I would encourage them to get relief from their symptoms, treat the problem, and THEN focus on getting revelation why their healing isn’t taking place by prayer.  We must not take on guilt or failure if we become sick.  Instead, we must seek FATHER to find out what the hindrance is to our restoration.

In 1984 I contracted hepatitis from shellfish.  At the time I had been intently studying HIS Word, listening to teaching tapes, and reading many books by Christian authors.  I had not been sick for years yet I contracted an illness so severe the doctor thought I was going to die.  I was not a happy camper and I complained to FATHER about my situation.  HE said “You are void of MY Word!”  I argued the point by recalling my studying, reading, and listening.  HE was not impressed and simply asked me the question “When did you last study MY Word in the area of healing?”.   Oops, it had been some time since I had not been sick in years…  I repented.

HE gave me a revelation in dealing with an issue in my life- immerse myself in HIS Word concerning a certain area where I am lacking.  THE Word will purge and cleanse us of anything preventing us from producing good fruit in that area.  When HIS Word becomes greater than all other influences in our life then IT produces good fruit.  The concept is simple yet it requires full commitment.  As we read, study, and embrace The Word in a particular area, it builds up our faith in that area.  We can have great faith in one area but be weak in another.

To be healed requires faith and faith comes by hearing The Word concerning healing.  Jesus made this point in Matthew chapter 9:

20 And suddenly, a woman who had a flow of blood for twelve years came from behind and touched the hem of His garment.

21 For she said to herself, “If only I may touch His garment, I shall be made well.”

22 But Jesus turned around, and when He saw her He said, “Be of good cheer, daughter; your faith has made you well.” And the woman was made well from that hour.

And

27 When Jesus departed from there, two blind men followed Him, crying out and saying, “Son of David, have mercy on us!”

28 And when He had come into the house, the blind men came to Him. And Jesus said to them, “Do you believe that I am able to do this?”

They said to Him, “Yes, Lord.”

29 Then He touched their eyes, saying, “According to your faith let it be to you.”

30 And their eyes were opened…

Jesus paid the ultimate price so that we could receive salvation, peace, AND healing.  Let us embrace all three and nothing less.  Let us build up our faith by immersing ourselves in HIS Word and meditate on It day and night until It overflows in our lives, not only for our own healing but all those for whom we pray.

Overcoming The World

Tuesday, December 13th, 2016

By THE SPIRIT Paul wrote in Ephesians chapter 4:

11 And He Himself gave some to be apostles, some prophets, some evangelists, and some pastors and teachers,

12 for the equipping of the saints for the work of ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ,

13 till we all come to the unity of the faith and of the knowledge of the Son of God, to a perfect man, to the measure of the stature of the fullness of Christ;

14 that we should no longer be children, tossed to and fro and carried about with every wind of doctrine, by the trickery of men, in the cunning craftiness of deceitful plotting,

15 but, speaking the truth in love, may grow up in all things into Him who is the head—Christ—

16 from whom the whole body, joined and knit together by what every joint supplies, according to the effective working by which every part does its share, causes growth of the body for the edifying of itself in love.

The church of today has a function- to mature and equip the saints for the work of ministry.  Many churches have stopped short of this commission and have changed the intent to that of a permanent dwelling place with walls of separation.  This ought not to happen.  Tradition has overcome revelation in many cases and for every opinion there has arisen a denomination.

What would happen if the whole body of Believers joined together in Love and came into the unity of faith?  We would overcome the world!  Each of the five-fold ministry should be receiving daily instructions from FATHER, not some outdated manual on how to retain a congregation.  The various gifts of those who attend should be identified and utilized for the overall purpose of maturing the saints.  Every activity should revolve around the goal of attaining the fullness of Christ.

We are to forsake not the fellowshipping of the saints thus we are not to become isolationists.  Some churches have promoted this view in two ways- one in keeping the congregation separated by doctrine and the other by shunning those who leave their congregation.  This is not how we overcome the world, on the contrary, this is how the world overcomes us.

Speaking the truth in Love does not mean we placate those who are in leadership roles in the various church organizations.  Jesus challenged the leadership of His day with the Word from FATHER.  We must do the same, not with our own opinion, but instead by the Divinely inspired Word from FATHER.  It is time for this division to cease.  The fear of loss by the various pastors must be overcome by faith in FATHER’S ability to provide.

There is no need for editorials on the subject but only Divine appointments and Words back by the power and authority originating in Heaven.  This will require much prayer and fasting to overcome the walls which have been erected over time.  Jesus prayed and fasted during His time of ministry so we should not look for excuses in these two critical areas of bringing Heaven to earth.

When I have travelled abroad I have seen many old majestic church buildings.  The one thing most of them had in common was the lack of attendance.  At one time they were the centerpiece of the city or town yet now they are more of a tourist destination.  How sad.

Overcoming the world starts with you and me.  Let us be in unity by fully submitting to the fullness of Love and let us be directed by FATHER in every step we take.  Let us be in agreement as we pray to FATHER that HE bring us together in both power and authority in order that Heaven overtake this dying world.  Let us press in like never before as the walls we must scale have grown tall yet there has never been a wall that FATHER could not tear down with a sound of a trumpet.  The fervent prayer of a righteous man avails much.  Now it the time!

The Baptism

Monday, December 12th, 2016

In Luke it was recorded by THE SPIRIT in chapter 3:

21 When all the people were baptized, it came to pass that Jesus also was baptized; and while He prayed, the heaven was opened.

22 And the Holy Spirit descended in bodily form like a dove upon Him, and a voice came from heaven which said, “You are My beloved Son; in You I am well pleased.”

Jesus’ time of preparation was over and now He was ready to begin His ministry.  As Jesus prayed, the Heaven was opened thus we should pray to HIM as well.  Why Pray?  It is good for us to acknowledge our dependence on FATHER for our very life, our health, our daily bread, and our general welfare.  We should do so every day as THE HOLY SPIRIT leads us. We must remind ourselves that our life and happiness are a gift from FATHER WHO is merciful.  Though HE does not owe us anything, HE gives us everything. We should try to be the same way towards our fellow-men and grant favors freely. We should express our gratitude to FATHER not merely in words, but  by obeying His commands and living our daily life the way FATHER wants us to do, especially as it is all for our own good.  Jesus provides us with His perfect example.

Knowing that FATHER is good and that nothing is impossible for Him to do, we can go about our life with a deep sense of confidence and security. Even in times of distress we will not despair, knowing that in some way whatever happens to us is for our good for it may be a blessing in disguise. We do not like to suffer, so we pray to FATHER to help us out of our distress and grant us the good that is not hidden or disguised.

When we operate in our gifts, we should expect the Holy Spirit to actively operate on our behalf, move upon us, and move upon the situation at hand.  The Scripture was written by THE SPIRT and we should know that FATHER’S SPIRIT will provide the relevance to each passage applicable to our situation.  The Holy Spirit is the Perfect Interpreter of The Word.  Men would have you only focus on the facet they were given yet we must not limit ourselves to their narrow view.  FATHER’S Ability to impart HIS applicable Word is beyond man’s understanding.

FATHER was well pleased with Jesus before He began His public ministry.  This is another example of FATHER’S unconditional Love for us.  Some think they must jump through hoops to gain FATHER’S acceptance yet it was not required of Jesus, HIS first begotten Son.  Let us rest in FATHER’S Acceptance as well.

In John’s recording of the event in chapter 1:

32 And John bore witness, saying, “I saw the Spirit descending from heaven like a dove, and He remained upon Him.

33 I did not know Him, but He who sent me to baptize with water said to me, ‘Upon whom you see the Spirit descending, and remaining on Him, this is He who baptizes with the Holy Spirit.

34 And I have seen and testified that this is the Son of God.”

We must not disregard the importance of The Most Holy Spirit in our everyday lives.  Jesus did not begin His public ministry without The Holy Spirit and thus we should be sensitive to The Holy Spirit as well.    In Acts chapter 1 Jesus spoke:

5 “for John truly baptized with water, but you shall be baptized with the Holy Spirit not many days from now.”

Our daily walk must not omit our awareness of The Holy Spirit in operation.  Jesus further revealed:

8 “But you shall receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you; and you shall be witnesses to Me in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the end of the earth.”

Receiving The Holy Spirit is associated with receiving power from Heaven.  The power is there but if we don’t access that power, It will be dormant in our lives.  Let us esteem the ministry of The Holy Spirit and be the conduit for THE SPIRIT to operate.

The Wise Answer

Sunday, December 11th, 2016

Mark 12:

28 Then one of the scribes came, and having heard them reasoning together, perceiving that He had answered them well, asked Him, “Which is the first commandment of all?”

29 Jesus answered him, “The first of all the commandments is: ‘Hear, O Israel, the LORD our God, the LORD is one.

30 And you shall love the LORD your God with all your heart, with all your soul, with all your mind, and with all your strength.’ This is the first commandment.

31 And the second, like it, is this: ‘You shall love your neighbor as yourself.’ There is no other commandment greater than these.”

32 So the scribe said to Him, “Well said, Teacher. You have spoken the truth, for there is one God, and there is no other but He.

33 And to love Him with all the heart, with all the understanding, with all the soul, and with all the strength, and to love one’s neighbor as oneself, is more than all the whole burnt offerings and sacrifices.”

34 Now when Jesus saw that he answered wisely, He said to him, “You are not far from the kingdom of God.”

How could I emphasize the importance of pursuing the fullness of the revelation of Love more than verse 34?  Think about it, dwell on it, meditate on it…

Merry Christmas!

We Love You!

Hear, Accept, And Bear Fruit

Saturday, December 10th, 2016

In Matthew chapter 13, Jesus spoke:

11 He answered and said to them, “Because it has been given to you to know the mysteries of the kingdom of heaven, but to them it has not been given.

12 For whoever has, to him more will be given, and he will have abundance; but whoever does not have, even what he has will be taken away from him.”

Jesus provides us with a contrast between two groups of people.  What is the deciding factor in determining what group each of us falls In?  He refers to Isaiah chapter 6 and says:

“For the hearts of this people have grown dull.

Their ears are hard of hearing,

And their eyes they have closed.”

Jesus is providing us the key to a mystery which we must pursue in order to flourish and it starts with the heart.  Have we lost our passion for HIS Love operating in our lives?  Do we place HIS Priorities first and foremost as our priorities?  Do we seek to walk as Jesus walked?  Our actions speak volumes.  Jesus is warning us to protect our hearts from becoming dull and He is confirming the Word given to Isaiah:

"Render the hearts of this people insensitive, Their ears dull, And their eyes dim, Otherwise they might see with their eyes, Hear with their ears, Understand with their hearts, And return and be healed."

The result of hearing and seeing the mystery will result in healing in all areas of our life… that is the mystery to embrace.  If we hear and see then we will ultimately have abundance.  If our hearts grow dull and insensitive then that which we have will be taken away and we will live a life of scarcity in all areas.  This one mystery holds such an important key to our time on this earth yet men continue to toil and live without.  I say to them “Repent, change, seek HIS Mercies and purpose to remove the insensitivity and dullness from your heart!”

We must actively reject the path of the wicked else our hearts will grow dull.  Their priorities are not our priorities.  We must purpose to walk and act in Love and correct ourselves when we veer from that straight and narrow path.  Jesus laid out this mystery out of His Love for His sheep for He is the Door and none else can reveal the mysteries of life.  There are many counterfeits out there who claim to have the answer yet in the end, their casket remains occupied.

The specific parable/mystery Jesus was asked about was the parable of the sower and the seed.  The sower sows the Word into the heart of man.  The cares of this world, the deceitfulness of riches, and the desires for other things entering in choke the word, and it becomes unfruitful.  Jesus specifically revealed the key for those who have ears to hear:  Those who hear the word, accept it, and bear fruit: some thirtyfold, some sixty, and some a hundred.

We must not allow ourselves to be deceived by the any outside force to keep us from fully accepting FATHER’S Word.  HE alone is THE CREATOR of Heaven and earth thus everyone else has only an opinion of how life really works.  We must keep this Truth before us at all times and protect our hearts from the other influences.  Be assured that as you study, dwell, and meditate on FATHER’S Word, you WILL be tested.  You must actively reject those attempts to redirect your focus away from the Truth.  Remain vigilant!  Let us not submit to cares, deceit, and other desires but instead seek FATHER’S guidance in all matters.  Hear HIM, accept HIS Word, and you will bear good fruit.

Redirecting Faith

Friday, December 9th, 2016

By THE SPIRIT it is written in Hebrews chapter 11:

1  Faith is the confidence that what we hope for will actually happen; it gives us assurance about things we cannot see.

People walk in faith every moment of their lives.  Every breath trusts in the fact that air which cannot be seen is there for us to inhale.  Every heartbeat occurs by faith.  We have faith that the opposing traffic will stay in their designated lane.  But most of all, let us have faith in Our Heavenly Father WHO framed the worlds with HIS Word.  Let us have faith in the Words of Our Lord Jesus Christ which were spoken in response to hearing FATHER.  Let us have faith in the acts of Jesus which reflect FATHER’S Divine Intent of Love.

2 For by it the elders obtained a good testimony.

The list of those who obtained a good testimony was not from one time period.  We will be included as “elders” as we walk in the same manner.  The key to faith is hearing FATHER.  The key to hearing better is to Love as FATHER.  The key to Love is dying to self.  Each of those listed had to overcome obstacles in their lives and not accept man’s wisdom.  They had to look beyond their physical senses and what the world deemed as “permanent” in their situation.

Today, men place their faith in the healthcare system which has become a trillion dollar industry in the U.S. alone.  However in Matthew chapter 9:

27 When Jesus departed from there, two blind men followed Him, crying out and saying, “Son of David, have mercy on us!”

28 And when He had come into the house, the blind men came to Him. And Jesus said to them, “Do you believe that I am able to do this?”

They said to Him, “Yes, Lord.”

29 Then He touched their eyes, saying, “According to your faith let it be to you.”

30 And their eyes were opened

In Mark chapter 5:

25 Now a certain woman had a flow of blood for twelve years,

26 and had suffered many things from many physicians. She had spent all that she had and was no better, but rather grew worse.

27 When she heard about Jesus, she came behind Him in the crowd and touched His garment.

28 For she said, “If only I may touch His clothes, I shall be made well.”

29 Immediately the fountain of her blood was dried up, and she felt in her body that she was healed of the affliction.

30 And Jesus, immediately knowing in Himself that power had gone out of Him, turned around in the crowd and said, “Who touched My clothes?”

31 But His disciples said to Him, “You see the multitude thronging You, and You say, ‘Who touched Me?’ ”

32 And He looked around to see her who had done this thing.

33 But the woman, fearing and trembling, knowing what had happened to her, came and fell down before Him and told Him the whole truth.

34 And He said to her, “Daughter, your faith has made you well. Go in peace, and be healed of your affliction.”

Do you believe the above passages to be true?  If we will immerse ourselves in HIS Word and HIS Presence rather than placing our trust in a temporary, ever changing world system then we should begin to see results in a similar fashion.  Jesus did not criticize the woman for spending twelve years under the physicians’ care.  Until our confidence in HIS Word exceeds our confidence in the current system, we must get relief of any symptoms as necessary.  Rejecting healthcare in a presumptuous manner will not force FATHER to heal.  True faith will bring forth healing and that comes by hearing HIS Word.

Walking In The Mystery

Thursday, December 8th, 2016

Each of these writings originates from FATHER by HIS SPIRIT to me.  I take no credit for their content but am grateful to be HIS vessel in spreading HIS Word to you.  I receive a blessing each day I post HIS Word to us.  Some of the warnings are taken personal by those who are in need of correction and I take no pleasure in communicating those warnings.  Clearly I enjoy those Words which produce joy among the brethren but I am bound by FATHER to write what HE gives me each day.  Jesus would arise often at the “fourth watch” before daylight (3 AM to 6 AM).  It is my custom to set no alarm and awaken as THE SPIRIT wills knowing that I will be fresh when HE begins to minister.  I too am well acquainted with the fourth watch.

Paul wrote by THE SPIRIT in Ephesians chapter 3:

14 For this reason I bow my knees to the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ,

15 from whom the whole family in heaven and earth is named,

16 that He would grant you, according to the riches of His glory, to be strengthened with might through His Spirit in the inner man,

17 that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith; that you, being rooted and grounded in love,

18 may be able to comprehend with all the saints what is the width and length and depth and height—

19 to know the love of Christ which passes knowledge; that you may be filled with all the fullness of God.

For Christ to fully dwell in our hearts we must be rooted and grounded in Love.  Men have focused on hope and faith in the past because it requires less accountability.  Love demands sacrifice and death to the flesh and many are unwilling to make that kind of commitment.  In order to fully comprehend Christ we must have a solid foundation of Love in our hearts.  Paul reveals to us that we may walk in the fullness of FATHER if we can comprehend this mystery.

Love encourages faith in the willingness of FATHER to move on our behalf.  When we come to the realization that HIS Character is motivated by Love then we are able to see how HIS mercies overcome all our weaknesses.  Jesus was fully motivated by Love in all His Words and actions.  If only we would dwell on His Words and embrace His Character in our lives then we would see not only the same results but greater results as He declared we would.  Jesus is the fullness of Love in action and He was never reluctant to heal the sick or cast out demons.  In Mark chapter 1:

40 Now a leper came to Him, imploring Him, kneeling down to Him and saying to Him, “If You are willing, You can make me clean.”

41 Then Jesus, moved with compassion, stretched out His hand and touched him, and said to him, “I am willing; be cleansed.”

42 As soon as He had spoken, immediately the leprosy left him, and he was cleansed.

Are we willing to fully pursue the fullness of the mystery Paul revealed in Ephesians chapter 3?  Are we willing to pay the price on behalf of all of those who need deliverance from sickness and disease?  Let us no longer accept insufficiency as the norm but go on to the fullness of Christ in us.  Let these words stir us up to press in and comprehend what is the width and length and depth and height of HIS Love so IT will operate in us as IT did in Christ.  What good is having a mystery revealed to us if there is no associated response and action?  Let us immerse ourselves in HIS Living Word so that it will remove all darkness so that our light shine forth in this world.  Let us not wait for some special day or sign to come before we commit to pursuing the fullness of FATHER.  He is willing, are we?

Ending The Famine

Wednesday, December 7th, 2016

By THE SPIRIT it is written in 2 Samuel chapter 21:

1 Now there was a famine in the days of David for three years, year after year; and David inquired of the LORD. And the LORD answered, “It is because of Saul and his bloodthirsty house, because he killed the Gibeonites.”

2 So the king called the Gibeonites and spoke to them. Now the Gibeonites were not of the children of Israel, but of the remnant of the Amorites; the children of Israel had sworn protection to them, but Saul had sought to kill them in his zeal for the children of Israel and Judah.

A famine is a time of suffering through hunger which is left unsatisfied.  It can be a famine of the land or famine of The Word.  In either case, there is suffering.  King Saul had broken the oath given to the Gibeonites and his actions had never been reconciled thus FATHER permitted the lack of fruitfulness to come forth in the land of Israel.  In Amos chapter 8 FATHER spoke:

11 “Behold, the days are coming,” says the Lord GOD,

“That I will send a famine on the land,

Not a famine of bread,

Nor a thirst for water,

But of hearing the words of the LORD.

When we realize that we are in a famine we must repent or change.  David realized he had a problem so he inquired of FATHER and was finally given the resolution to the problem.  In this case it took three years to receive the answer.  If we see some aspect of our life severely lacking we must press in and wait upon FATHER to show us the issue.  Typically it is because we have not submitted to HIS Word in some area of our lives and are suffering the judgment associated with some particular aspect of our walk.  When we are void of HIS Word in an area no associated fruit will be produced.  Without this fruit, we suffer a “famine” in that area of life.

Walking in Love fulfills the Law thus if we focus on Love we should expect to end the famine.  Why?  Because when we fulfill the intent of the Law FATHER is able to restore us.

In Joshua chapter 9 the Gibeonites tricked Joshua into making a covenant with them.  Since Joshua did not inquire of FATHER but relied on what he saw and reasoned, the covenant was enforceable.  We should be careful of our words and be quick to hear by THE SPIRIT before we commit to others.  If we commit to a mortgage even though the other party may not be upright, we should fulfill our commitment.  In recent times there has been much written about why the current system’s method of lending in not lawful thus providing justification for not keeping our written covenant to pay.  Clearly that did not move FATHER when the Gibeonites made a covenant under false pretenses.  HE is more concerned about the  purity in our commitment even when the agreement is tainted.

The vessels of honor are to be a standard to the world and the words we speak must align with FATHER’S Word.  We must be careful to enter into covenant with those who have selfish motives and are willing to exploit us.  It is better to do nothing than to enter into a one-sided agreement.

When we find that we are in the midst of a famine, we must take action to severe ties with what is causing the famine.  David had to conclude the issue by dealing with the Gibeonites who were the source of the famine.  The scales had to be balanced by ending the reign of Saul once and for all.  This was done by the removal of his inheritors which represented the future and path of his motives.

The end result of famine is death in some form.  We must die to the flesh and no longer walk apart from FATHER’S Perfect Will.  Love is not self-serving and thus we must assess our motives when we are suffering in order that we may set ourselves willing to hear FATHER in an area which has been “off limits” in the past.  We must be still and hear FATHER just as three years of famine required David to be still.  We must remove ourselves from the noise of the world and our own thoughts in order to hear.  Our goal must be to end the famine so that good fruit can and will be produced in our lives.
