The Race

Thursday, May 11th, 2017

It is written by THE SPIRIT in Hebrews chapter 12:

1 Therefore we also, since we are surrounded by so great a cloud of witnesses, let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which so easily ensnares us, and let us run with endurance the race that is set before us,

2 looking unto Jesus, the author and finisher of our faith, who for the joy that was set before Him endured the cross, despising the shame, and has sat down at the right hand of the throne of God.

We have an endurance race set before us and it involves our belief system.  We begin this race because we have faith in the reality of Jesus Christ and we will finish this race because of that same faith IN HIM.  Each and every day we must remind ourselves of the value of this race when we are challenged by the world’s logic, reasoning, and devices.  In order to run a more effective race we must not carry any unnecessary weight or allow sin which may easily distract us  throughout this race.

Jesus knew the joy that was set before Him as He endured the cross and disregarded the shame.  This joy is much greater than the cross or shame thus we must trust IN HIM as we proceed in the race.  The finish line will be worth the commitment of enduring the race.  It takes more faith for the second half of the race than the first half.  Many will start the race but once fatigue sets in then faith must come forth to overcome the stress.  Those with little or no faith will not finish the race.  Their minds and emotions will convince them to stop, rest, and pursue the path of least resistance.  Those who are mature in faith will press on and disregard their own emotions knowing that the prize at the end is greater then the temporary challenges they now face.

As we walk in faith, we take on the qualities of Jesus, the author and finisher of our faith.  His Love begins to be expressed in our lives as well.  His compassion also comes forth in the situations we find ourselves in.  We will begin to respond in like manner to Jesus as we face the challenges before us.  In Matthew chapter 5 Jesus spoke:

10 ”Blessed are those who are persecuted for righteousness’ sake,

For theirs is the kingdom of heaven.”

11 “Blessed are you when they revile and persecute you, and say all kinds of evil against you falsely for My sake.

12 Rejoice and be exceedingly glad, for great is your reward in heaven, for so they persecuted the prophets who were before you.”

Our great reward is in Heaven when we have completed the race.  When evil is spoken against us we should respond in like manner as Jesus responded.  Those who are our enemies should see Jesus in us, not our reactive ego.  Paul described Love’s response in 1 Corinthians chapter 13:

4 Love suffers long and is kind; love does not envy; love does not parade itself, is not puffed up;

5 does not behave rudely, does not seek its own, is not provoked, thinks no evil;

6 does not rejoice in iniquity, but rejoices in the truth;

7 bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things.

8 Love never fails.

These are the qualities of Jesus Who is the Author of our faith.  We should expect to respond in the same manner as we run the race set before us.  This passage provides us a template by which we can measure the progress of our race.  If we are lacking in an area where our response is less than Loving, let our focus on that area root out whatever is keeping us from walking accordingly for we must lay aside that weight.  Jesus knows the race is worth the cost so let our faith in Him acknowledge this reality as well.

In The Faith

Wednesday, May 10th, 2017

By THE SPIRIT Paul wrote in Ephesians chapter 3:

14 For this reason I bow my knees to the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ,

15 from whom the whole family in heaven and earth is named,

16 that He would grant you, according to the riches of His glory, to be strengthened with might through His Spirit in the inner man,

17 that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith; that you, being rooted and grounded in love,

18 may be able to comprehend with all the saints what is the width and length and depth and height—

19 to know the love of Christ which passes knowledge; that you may be filled with all the fullness of God.

The Holy Spirit will strengthen our inner man that Christ may dwell in our hearts through the faith which comes by embracing Love and Truth.  This faith is not as focused on doing as it is on walking in a Christ-like manner knowing that we can and should walk accordingly.  This faith allows us to walk in the perfection of Christ in our lives and we no longer reason why we can’t.  Our trust is IN HIM and we mature to the point of being expressions of FATHER and HIS Love toward mankind.  We cannot be wronged by man just as Jesus could not be wronged.

Matthew recorded the Words of Jesus in chapter 5:

8  Blessed are the pure in heart, For they shall see God.

Jesus tells us we can have a pure heart otherwise He would not have told us of it.  Walking in the faith of the reality brings forth an expectation of a pure heart.  We must cast down all of man’s teachings that would have us believe we cannot attain a pure heart.  We are born again and behold all things are new!  Our faith accepts this Truth so let us protect this Truth from the world’s logic and reasoning.

We are valuable to Christ for He shed His blood for each of us.  We must not place any hindrance between us and HIM for any issue that causes a veil will simply hinder our intimacy with FATHER.  There are no secrets or issues that HE is not aware of so let’s simply come clean and be transparent.  We must trust HIS faithfulness to guide and guard us when we remove the worldliness from our midst.  Jesus shed His blood to redeem you and me in our fallen state.  If He did not believe we were worth the price, He would not have done so.  Accept it, He was willing to pay the price so let us express our gratitude to Him in return.

We find our identity through Christ, not men’s opinions based on some attribute, performance, or history.  We must let the past go because it can keep us from receiving the Love of FATHER.

Jesus spoke in John chapter 8:

31 Then Jesus said to those Jews who believed Him, “If you abide in My word, you are My disciples indeed.

32 And you shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.”

Truth comes from FATHER and we must no longer accept the world’s alternative to the Truth.  Truth makes us free and our faith in our walk in Christ strengthens to the point where any pressure applied against us only produces a response of Christ.  We’re not offended, we’re not second guessing our salvation, and we don’t condemn the one who brings forth the pressure.  As we have matured in Christ, people will see Christ in us when the trials and tribulations come.

Paul wrote by THE SPIRIT in Ephesians chapter 4:

13 till we all come to the unity of the faith and of the knowledge of the Son of God, to a perfect man, to the measure of the stature of the fullness of Christ;

The mature believer has become Love just as Christ is Love.  The unbeliever is in need of Love.  Let us be rooted and grounded in Love so that we are ready to be Love to the unbeliever.  Let our faith be strong in this area.

Suffering

Tuesday, May 9th, 2017

Every believer is subject to suffering even though we would all like to coast through life without any issues.

By THE SPIRIT Paul wrote in Romans 8:

15 For you did not receive the spirit of bondage again to fear, but you received the Spirit of adoption by whom we cry out, “Abba, Father.”

16 The Spirit Himself bears witness with our spirit that we are children of God,

17 and if children, then heirs—heirs of God and joint heirs with Christ, if indeed we suffer with Him, that we may also be glorified together.

18 For I consider that the sufferings of this present time are not worthy to be compared with the glory which shall be revealed in us.

19 For the earnest expectation of the creation eagerly waits for the revealing of the Sons of GOD.

And Paul wrote in 2 Corinthians chapter 4:

8 We are hard-pressed on every side, yet not crushed; we are perplexed, but not in despair;

9 persecuted, but not forsaken; struck down, but not destroyed

There are positive aspects to suffering for those who are called to minister to the hurting masses.  If you have suffered yourself, you tend to be more compassionate to those who are in need.  You are also less apt to judge the weaknesses of those who have been unable to exercise their trust and faith in FATHER.

Am I willing to suffer for Christ?  Absolutely!  Do I believe my suffering has purpose by a FATHER WHO loves me even though I may not understand the big picture?  Yes, for HIS Love is not intended to punish me but to instruct me to be Christ-like in al that I do.

Paul wrote by THE SPIRIT in Galatians chapter 6:

1 Brethren, if a man is overtaken in any trespass, you who are spiritual restore such a one in a spirit of gentleness, considering yourself lest you also be tempted.

2 Bear one another’s burdens, and so fulfill the law of Christ.

3 For if anyone thinks himself to be something, when he is nothing, he deceives himself.

Let us develop the spirit of gentleness toward those those who are overtaken.  We must not think of ourselves too highly for Christ in us is the hope of Glory, we have nothing individually apart from Christ.

In Job chapter 2 it is written by THE SPIRIT:

9 Then his wife said to him, “Do you still hold fast to your integrity? Curse God and die!”

10 But he said to her, “You speak as one of the foolish women speaks. Shall we indeed accept good from God, and shall we not accept adversity?” In all this Job did not sin with his lips.

FATHER will allow adversity to come our way for testing and training.  Whether you curse GOD or be grateful for HIS Love, the adversity will still come.  We must remember adversity is temporary not allow pain and suffering to dictate our future.  I would rather suffer with Christ that I also may be glorified together than to take the alternative path.  Selah!

Receiving A Word

Monday, May 8th, 2017

Everyone wants to receive a Word of Wisdom, understanding, or instruction from FATHER but many reject it because of their ego.  What they really want is a “burning bush” event where FATHER booms forth The Word and makes an indelible impression on their mind.  They want assurance from a preconceived notion of how The Word ought to be delivered.

It is written by THE SPIRIT in Numbers chapter 22:

1 Then the children of Israel moved, and camped in the plains of Moab on the side of the Jordan across from Jericho.

2 Now Balak the son of Zippor saw all that Israel had done to the Amorites.

3 And Moab was exceedingly afraid of the people because they were many, and Moab was sick with dread because of the children of Israel.

4 So Moab said to the elders of Midian, “Now this company will lick up everything around us, as an ox licks up the grass of the field.” And Balak the son of Zippor was king of the Moabites at that time.

5 Then he sent messengers to Balaam the son of Beor at Pethor, which is near the River in the land of the sons of his people, to call him, saying: “Look, a people has come from Egypt. See, they cover the face of the earth, and are settling next to me!

6 Therefore please come at once, curse this people for me, for they are too mighty for me. Perhaps I shall be able to defeat them and drive them out of the land, for I know that he whom you bless is blessed, and he whom you curse is cursed.”

Balak sent for Balaam to curse the people and remove them from Moab.  Clearly he felt this was the best plan for Balaam could hear GOD and surely he could drive out the children of Israel.  But the FATHER intervened:

9 Then God came to Balaam and said, “Who are these men with you?”

10 So Balaam said to God, “Balak the son of Zippor, king of Moab, has sent to me, saying,

11 ‘Look, a people has come out of Egypt, and they cover the face of the earth. Come now, curse them for me; perhaps I shall be able to overpower them and drive them out.’ ”

12 And God said to Balaam, “You shall not go with them; you shall not curse the people, for they are blessed.”

In the end Balaam succumbed to the request of Balak and went forth to curse the children of Israel.  On the way to Moab, FATHER’S anger was kindled and HE sent the Angel of the LORD who took His stand in the way as an adversary against him.  The donkey saw the Angel and resisted Balaam three times.  Then the LORD opened the mouth of the donkey, and she said to Balaam, “What have I done to you, that you have struck me these three times?”  Balaam spoke back to the donkey and threatened to kill him.  Then the LORD opened Balaam’s eyes, and he saw the Angel of the LORDstanding in the way with His drawn sword in His hand; and he bowed his head and fell flat on his face. And the Angel of the LORD said to him, “Why have you struck your donkey these three times? Behold, I have come out to stand against you, because your way is perverse before Me”.

If FATHER decides to use a donkey to warn a man who can hear HIM, why do we resist hearing a Word from someone who seems let spiritual than us?  Just because someone is less educated in Scripture or does not fit your perspective of someone who can convey a Word to you, beware!  We must not stereotype people by judging whether they hear FATHER or by their station in life.  FATHER will use whomever HE wishes to convey a Word.  The Pharisees could not receive from Jesus because of their egos.  Don’t allow preconceived notions to be a hindrance when FATHER wants to give you an important message.  Be open, be sensitive, be willing.

The Very Elect

Sunday, May 7th, 2017

What describes the very elect?  They have the spirit of Love, humility, mercy, compassion, self-sacrifice, and a poured-out life.  Wait a minute, that describes Our Lord Jesus Christ as well.  It should, for He is our perfect example of a fully matured Son of FATHER.

By THE SPIRIT it is written in Isaiah chapter 30:

26 Moreover the light of the moon will be as the light of the sun,

And the light of the sun will be sevenfold,

As the light of seven days,

In the day that the LORD binds up the bruise of His people

And heals the stroke of their wound.

There is coming a day when the intensity of light will increase by sevenfold and that light will reveal all darkness found in mankind.  Nothing will be hidden from plain sight and each person will have a choice to accept the Love of FATHER or reject it.  There will be no condemnation during this revealing but instead it will be a time of decision.  We have an individual example of this with Saul of Tarsus in Acts chapter 9:

3 As he journeyed he came near Damascus, and suddenly a light shone around him from heaven.

4 Then he fell to the ground, and heard a voice saying to him, “Saul, Saul, why are you persecuting Me?”

5 And he said, “Who are You, Lord?” Then the Lord said, “I am Jesus, whom you are persecuting. It is hard for you to kick against the goads.”

6 So he, trembling and astonished, said, “Lord, what do You want me to do?” Then the Lord said to him, “Arise and go into the city, and you will be told what you must do.”

7 And the men who journeyed with him stood speechless, hearing a voice but seeing no one.

8 Then Saul arose from the ground, and when his eyes were opened he saw no one. But they led him by the hand and brought him into Damascus.

9 And he was three days without sight, and neither ate nor drank.

The Very Elect should expect to be empowered with this same intense light of Love.  Man will be unable to challenge or resist the light just as Saul was unable to do anything but fall to the ground.  This sevenfold light is meant to expose and restore rather than judge and punish.  Seven is the number of perfection and applies to the seven Spirits of FATHER as well as the seven Eyes.  Darkness is unable to prevail in this sevenfold light and thus there will be nothing hidden in men’s hearts when the light intensifies to this level.  We should not be caught unaware of this coming event so that when it does comes we will be fully prepared to express the Love of FATHER to mankind.

Yes there is growing darkness in the world but that will not restrict the sevenfold light to come.  It will only seem brighter to those who have taken the path toward darkness and will provide even a greater contrast when the light arrives.  The Beloved Disciple wrote in 1 John chapter 1:

5 This is the message which we have heard from Him and declare to you, that God is light and in Him is no darkness at all.

6 If we say that we have fellowship with Him, and walk in darkness, we lie and do not practice the truth.

7 But if we walk in the light as He is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus Christ His Son cleanses us from all sin.

The Very Elect will have no sin to prevent the intensity of light to shine bright.  Let us continue toward full perfection in preparation for the sevenfold light to shine forth.

Nothing Is Impossible

Saturday, May 6th, 2017

Luke wrote by THE SPIRIT in chapter 1:

34 Then Mary said to the angel, “How can this be, since I do not know a man?”

35 And the angel answered and said to her, “The Holy Spirit will come upon you, and the power of the Highest will overshadow you; therefore, also, that Holy One who is to be born will be called the Son of God.

36 Now indeed, Elizabeth your relative has also conceived a son in her old age; and this is now the sixth month for her who was called barren.

37 For with GOD nothing will be impossible.”

38 Then Mary said, “Behold the maidservant of the Lord! Let it be to me according to your word.” And the angel departed from her.

Throughout Scripture we find infallible proofs where FATHER has done the seemingly impossible in man’s eyes.  The messenger of FATHER explicitly told Mary "For nothing will be impossible with God”.  We also know that HE changes not and is unwavering in HIS covenant with us.

When we come up against an apparent impossibility, we must look beyond the temporary and I must tell you that can be a challenging task in itself.  We have learned to trust in the physical laws that govern most of what we see but we must peer into the Spiritual realm in order to see the higher laws that supersede the lower, visible laws.  The physical law would tell us that Mary could not conceive without “knowing” a man but the angel revealed that a higher Spiritual law would prevail in her case.  This revelation was accepted by Mary and she submitted to the higher law.  As a double witness the angel mentioned Elizabeth who was barren conceiving a son in her old age.  Both miracles occurred because of a higher Spiritual law thus we must acknowledge that nothing is impossible given this higher Spiritual realm takes precedence over the lower physical realm.

In Luke 5 Jesus revealed this higher realm as well:

3 Then He got into one of the boats, which was Simon’s, and asked him to put out a little from the land. And He sat down and taught the multitudes from the boat.

4 When He had stopped speaking, He said to Simon, “Launch out into the deep and let down your nets for a catch.”

5 But Simon answered and said to Him, “Master, we have toiled all night and caught nothing; nevertheless at Your word I will let down the net.”

6 And when they had done this, they caught a great number of fish, and their net was breaking.

7 So they signaled to their partners in the other boat to come and help them. And they came and filled both the boats, so that they began to sink.

8 When Simon Peter saw it, he fell down at Jesus’ knees, saying, “Depart from me, for I am a sinful man, O Lord!”

Simon was an expert fisherman and knew the waters quite well but he submitted to the Word of Jesus.  The catch was beyond their nets ability to hold and had to summon reinforcements to help them.  Both boats could not handle the catch.  Peter realized that he had come in contact with the Divine Presence of the Son of GOD and knew he was not worthy to stand before Him.  Jesus assured Simon when He said “Do not be afraid. From now on you will catch men.”  Love showed Simon the impossible and then called him to do the impossible in men’s eyes.

It is written by THE SPIRIT in Hebrews chapter 13:

8 Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today, and forever.

The “impossible” is still occurring today just as it did when Jesus walked the earth.  We must not let the temporal set limitations on our expectation of FATHER.  HE is not restricted to the lower physical laws and will perform miraculously on our behalf.  HE is not reluctant to do so but HE does expect us to respond to HIS Word just as Mary, Elizabeth, and Simon did.  Let us not restrict FATHER by our unbelief but instead embrace whatever Word HE gives us for our situation.  Let our faith be unwavering when we receive a Word from FATHER which goes against all that we see in the physical for we know it is subject to change.

The Loyal Heart

Friday, May 5th, 2017

2 Chronicles chapter 16:

9 For the eyes of the LORD run to and fro throughout the whole earth, to show Himself strong on behalf of those whose heart is loyal to Him.

Those with a loyal heart are the ones who will become known as the overcomers.  They will come from all walks of life and from different locations throughout the earth.  Loyal means to be faithful, true, and devoted.  Those who have no hesitation to show such qualities are those who have become mature in Christ.  They are no longer tossed to and fro by every wind of doctrine but remain steadfast in their loyalty to FATHER, Jesus Christ, and The Holy Spirit.  The “eyes of THE LORD” are further described in Revelation chapter 5:

6 And I looked, and behold, in the midst of the throne and of the four living creatures, and in the midst of the elders, stood a Lamb as though it had been slain, having seven horns and seven eyes, which are the seven Spirits of God sent out into all the earth.

He who recognizes and hears the seven-fold Spirit of FATHER is the overcomer.  The new nature, the new song, the new Jerusalem are all references to the change which occurs in the overcomer.  THE SPIRIT is now communicating directly with the overcomer and no longer is there a need to have an intermediary speaking on behalf of THE SPIRIT.  There will be no hindrance to the flow but instead we will experience the rivers of life flowing through us to all those who thirst.  Those waters will be healing by their very nature and no man will be able to resist the flow of Love.

As mature sons, filled with the seven spirits of God, we will speak as Jesus spoke in the first person: “Verily, verily I say unto you.”.  Not once did Jesus say: “Thus saith the Lord.”  Instead Jesus spoke in THE SPIRIT without measure for He was and is our example to follow.  We will know when we speak that we are fully led by THE SPIRIT without measure thus we will fully operate in the seven Spirits of FATHER.

In the Revelation of Jesus Christ, He is called “Faithful and True”.  Jesus is the primary example of One with a loyal heart.  Each of us must assess where we are at in this area.  When the pressure is applied are we remaining faithful to FATHER?  Jesus had to be tested and so must each of us.

Seven eyes represent vision and perception whereas the seven horns represent power and authority.  We must be able to see the Truth and not be blinded by the world’s devices.  Clarity is the key to being able to judge a situation appropriately.  We must be faithful to FATHER’S Divine Intent of Love as we represent HIM by walking in the seven Spirits.  A loyal heart does not usurp power or act in a selfish manner but instead the loyal heart faithfully executes the will and intent of FATHER.  In Revelation chapter 4:

5 And from the throne proceeded lightnings, thunderings, and voices. Seven lamps of fire were burning before the throne, which are the seven Spirits of God.

As we see there are many facets to the seven Spirits of FATHER.  The seven lamps of fire burning before the throne denote illumination and revelation.  It is imperative that those with a loyal heart do not have any darkness associated with them in any way.  True revelation belongs to FATHER and HE conveys HIS revelation through the seven Spirits.  No longer will a third person be required for us to receive revelation from the Throne Room.  The communication will be clear and concise so that there is no question concerning FATHER’S Divine Intent.

All that flows from the throne in intended to be poured out upon the earth until the knowledge of the glory of the Lord covers the earth.  All Truth and reality from FATHER is sent forth into all the earth and HIS purposes for His elect to move in the fullness of the revelation and power and wisdom and judgment just like the Elder brother Jesus Christ.

The loyal heart is an internal issue in each one of us and has nothing to do with external acts meant to mimic the internal.  You can declare, decree, pray, or command but if your heart is not loyal to FATHER you will be disqualified from The Elect.  There are those who want to be clever and change the world whereas those with wisdom focus on changing the internal.  Let us proceed on to the higher state of a loyal heart.

Generosity

Thursday, May 4th, 2017

One of the biggest issues people have is that they have a “stronghold” concerning giving.  Many were brought up in a mindset of scarcity and the stronghold against giving became substantial.  They think that their needs are greater than those whom FATHER would have them give to or they do not trust FATHER to provide for them if they do give.  Either way they are missing out on a blessing.  What would happen if certain parts of your body withheld nourishment to other parts for fear they would be left wanting?  Your overall wellbeing would suffer and the same it true for the Body of Christ.  As for me, it took trusting in the promises contained within FATHER’S Word and to step out in faith that HE truly would supply all my need according to HIS riches in glory by Christ Jesus.  I assure you strongholds had to be pulled down in my case.

Paul wrote by THE SPIRIT in Philippians chapter 4:

14 Nevertheless you have done well that you shared in my distress.

15 Now you Philippians know also that in the beginning of the gospel, when I departed from Macedonia, no church shared with me concerning giving and receiving but you only.

16 For even in Thessalonica you sent aid once and again for my necessities.

17 Not that I seek the gift, but I seek the fruit that abounds to your account.

18 Indeed I have all and abound. I am full, having received from Epaphroditus the things sent from you, a sweet-smelling aroma, an acceptable sacrifice, well pleasing to God.

19 And my God shall supply all your need according to His riches in glory by Christ Jesus.

20 Now to our God and Father be glory forever and ever. Amen.

Here we have Paul being led by THE SPIRIT to write two-thirds of the New Testament and yet he has a need.  Most people would think that if FATHER used him so mightily, he would need no assistance of any type.  People gave into Jesus’ ministry and these Philippians helped Paul multiple times.  How did Paul describe this assistance?  Without hesitation his description was “a sweet-smelling aroma, an acceptable sacrifice, well pleasing to God”.  If something is well pleasing to FATHER, what would HIS response be?  “My GOD shall supply all your need according to His riches in glory by Christ Jesus.”  That is how Love responds to those who have a heart to give.

FATHER can and will supply assistance through other means if the brethren withhold assistance for HE is not limited to the willingness of men to give.  If need be FATHER will move upon the heathen to fund the Gospel.  By THE SPIRIT it is written in Ezra chapter 1:

1 Now in the first year of Cyrus king of Persia, that the word of the LORD by the mouth of Jeremiah might be fulfilled, the LORD stirred up the spirit of Cyrus king of Persia, so that he made a proclamation throughout all his kingdom, and also put it in writing, saying,

2 Thus says Cyrus king of Persia:

All the kingdoms of the earth the LORD God of heaven has given me. And He has commanded me to build Him a house at Jerusalem which is in Judah. 3 Who is among you of all His people? May his God be with him, and let him go up to Jerusalem which is in Judah, and build the house of the LORD God of Israel (He is God), which is in Jerusalem. 4 And whoever is left in any place where he dwells, let the men of his place help him with silver and gold, with goods and livestock, besides the freewill offerings for the house of God which is in Jerusalem.

Cyrus was led to have the Temple built in Jerusalem.  FATHER knew Cyrus’ heart and stirred it up to do HIS bidding.  FATHER will not be restricted in meeting the needs of HIS anointed.  We can either choose to be a part of the group of cheerful givers or simply watch from a distance as FATHER moves forward.  In the latter case, those who only observe miss out on a blessing initiated by FATHER.  It is our choice to either allow the stronghold of scarcity to prevail or to tear it down brick by brick and allow the blessings of FATHER to flow to and through us.

Strongholds

Wednesday, May 3rd, 2017

A stronghold is a place or means of safety, protection, or refuge.  Paul wrote by THE SPIRIT in 2 Corinthians chapter 10:

3 For though we walk in the flesh, we do not war according to the flesh.

4 For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal but mighty in God for pulling down strongholds,

5 casting down arguments and every high thing that exalts itself against the knowledge of God, bringing every thought into captivity to the obedience of Christ.

In the Old Testament, strongholds were a place of refuge used by various nations to protect themselves from any potential enemy who would eliminate their way of life.  Today, most of us have strongholds which must be cast down so that we can fully embrace the knowledge of FATHER in our lives.  Preconceived notions given to us at a young age often prevail in later years.  Thoughts which do not line up with FATHER’S Word must be taken down and removed as THE SPIRIT reveals them to us.  This revealing might take place in a dream or in the aftermath of a disappointment.

There is no need to argue about the Truth but to simply study FATHER’S Word and find the applicable Truth to our situation.  When two people argue, division arises and unity is gone.  One of both have a stronghold which needs to be cast down for there is some thought exalting itself over The Word.

We have the ability to take thoughts captive so let us not dwell on any thoughts contrary to FATHER’S Word.  The more you dwell on whatever is exalting itself, the greater the stronghold being created.  The Internet is not helping in this matter but is a source for creating strongholds.  We must be vigilant in protecting our eyes and ears from malicious content accessible on the Internet.  The primary problem isn’t the Internet but our weakness in areas yet to be strengthened by studying and meditating on FATHER’S Word.

Let us shape our life around Christ.  There are times when we should disconnect from technology and observe the reality around us.  Sometimes we just need to innocently perceive what is going on without working our mind and creating issues to solve.  When a major storm blows through the area, consider that it is simply doing what FATHER designed it to do- deposit rain and prune branches.  Men build things which can be blown down and then assign FATHER with the responsibility of protecting those things even though they never sought HIS advice or wisdom to begin with.

The world is going through much change in all areas whether it be social, political, or economic in nature.  The complexities are well beyond man’s ability to manage and thus the systems have become weak by their very nature.  There are no man-made solutions at hand even though the strongholds in people’s minds are propelling them in certain unsustainable paths.  The only true solution is to pull down strongholds, cast down arguments, and every high thing exalting itself above FATHER and HIS Word.  Love is the answer to the current myriad of problems and its implementation can only be achieved through the obedience of Christ.

The Focal Point In The Beginning

Tuesday, May 2nd, 2017

Matthew wrote by THE SPIRIT in chapter 3:

16 When He had been baptized, Jesus came up immediately from the water; and behold, the heavens were opened to Him, and He saw the Spirit of God descending like a dove and alighting upon Him.

17 And suddenly a voice came from heaven, saying, “This is My beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased.”

It please FATHER for the Spirit to come upon Jesus just as it pleases FATHER for us to receive the Holy Spirit… HE is well pleased.  We must never forget the importance of The Holy Spirit in our lives.  This event is described in all four Gospels so there would be four difference inspired witnesses to this event.  John The Baptist was the current authentic priest under the Old Covenant and performed his duties accordingly.  He had not been compromised as others had been thus he could conduct the baptism in its purity.

FATHER allowed HIS Voice to be audibly heard by those who were to witness the event so there would be no question of the validity of Jesus’ ministry.  What a Holy moment for all in attendance!  There would be no question of Jesus being led by THE SPIRIT as He was to be tested and tempted in the wilderness by the wicked one.  There would be attempts to re-interpret the Word but Jesus would see through those attempts and quote the appropriate Word backed by its Divine Intent.

More about John the Baptist being the priest under the Old Covenant.  By THE SPIRIT it is recorded in Luke chapter 1:

8 So it was, that while he was serving as priest before God in the order of his division,

9 according to the custom of the priesthood, his lot fell to burn incense when he went into the temple of the Lord.

10 And the whole multitude of the people was praying outside at the hour of incense.

11 Then an angel of the Lord appeared to him, standing on the right side of the altar of incense.

12 And when Zacharias saw him, he was troubled, and fear fell upon him.

13 But the angel said to him, “Do not be afraid, Zacharias, for your prayer is heard; and your wife Elizabeth will bear you a son, and you shall call his name John.

14 And you will have joy and gladness, and many will rejoice at his birth.

15 For he will be great in the sight of the Lord, and shall drink neither wine nor strong drink. He will also be filled with the Holy Spirit, even from his mother’s womb.

16 And he will turn many of the children of Israel to the Lord their God.

17 He will also go before Him in the spirit and power of Elijah, ‘to turn the hearts of the fathers to the children,’ and the disobedient to the wisdom of the just, to make ready a people prepared for the Lord.”

John was the only priest in history whose birth was announced by an angel in the sanctuary of priests.  The highest ministry of the priesthood was to cleanse the people of their sins and that is exactly what John’s ministry was fulfilling in the Jordan river.  John represented the Aaronic priesthood and the ending of that priesthood occurred in the Jordan that day as the High Priest of the New Covenant was ordained.  The Aaronic priesthood bore witness of the New when FATHER proclaimed “This is My beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased.”

John acknowledged Jesus’ superior priesthood in Matthew 3:

13 Then Jesus came from Galilee to John at the Jordan to be baptized by him.

14 And John tried to prevent Him, saying, “I need to be baptized by You, and are You coming to me?”

15 But Jesus answered and said to him, “Permit it to be so now, for thus it is fitting for us to fulfill all righteousness.” Then he allowed Him.

The Blessing was spoken and the priesthood was passed from the Old to the New.  Everything was done lawfully and in proper sequence.  This became the focal point in the beginning of the new priesthood and we should take our calling by FATHER with the same seriousness as that fateful day when the priesthood was transferred to our High Priest.
