Genuine Faith

There is no genuine faith in Jesus Christ without repentance.

Paul wrote by The Holy Spirit in Hebrews chapter 6:

1  Therefore, leaving the discussion of the elementary principles of Christ, let us go on to perfection, not laying again the foundation of repentance from dead works and of faith toward God,

2 of the doctrine of baptisms, of laying on of hands, of resurrection of the dead, and of eternal judgment.

Once again, in order to move on to deeper Truths, we must have a foundation of repentance.  Counterfeit faith doesn’t work!

Jesus spoke in Matthew chapter 7:

13  “Enter by the narrow gate; for wide is the gate and broad is the way that leads to destruction, and there are many who go in by it.

14 Because narrow is the gate and difficult is the way which leads to life, and there are few who find it.”

We enter the narrow gate through repentance!

In the last forty years, the church has watered down the Message of Jesus in order to fill seats and generate revenue.  They preached Love without repentance allowing lawlessness to be retained in people’s hearts.

How many couples live together outside of marriage?  How many use abortion as birth control?  How many marriages end up in divorce?  How much perversion is now tolerated and accepted?  How can this happen?  They have been introduced to a fake Jesus who doesn’t require repentance.

What is the core value of a true believer?  He or she says, “I will no longer live as the judge of what is best for me.  From this moment forward, I will live according to what FATHER says is best for me, no matter what!”

This is not meant to promote legalism.  A person who walks in legalism modifies his behavior without changing his heart.  A person who walks in Love and fully accepts FATHER’S Word is due to a changed heart.

Paul wrote by The Holy Spirit in Hebrews chapter 13:

1  No matter what, make room in your heart to Love every believer.

2 And show hospitality to strangers, for they may be angels from God showing up as your guests.

3]Identify with those who are in prison as though you were there suffering with them, and those who are mistreated as if you could feel their pain.

4 Honor the sanctity of marriage and keep your vows of purity to one another, for God will judge sexual immorality in any form, whether single or married.

5 Don’t be obsessed with money but live content with what you have, for you always have God’s Presence. For hasn’t He promised you, “I will never leave you alone, never! And I will not loosen My grip on your life!”

6 So we can say with great confidence: “I know the Lord is for me and I will never be afraid of what people may do to me!”

Jesus is the Bridegroom and we are the Bride.  We are instructed to keep our hearts pure, and repentance is a requirement for that purity to take effect.  This is what genuine faith requires.
