Why Are We Here?

Why are we here?

In other words, what is God’s purpose in calling us?

It is written by THE SPIRIT in Genesis chapter 1:

And God said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness: and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over the cattle, and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth… And God blessed them, and God said unto them, be fruitful and multiply and replenish the earth and subdue it; and have dominion over the fish of the sea and over the fowl of the air and over every living thing that moveth upon the earth.

This passage tells us that man was originally called into existence to reign over the whole earth with the King of kings.

Man was created in the image of God so that one day he could become a “servant-king” and rule the world alongside the true king, the King of kings.  There was just one problem—Lucifer. Ezekiel 28 explains:

13  You lived in Eden, in the very garden of God. Every precious jewel formed your mantle. You were dressed in splendor with diamonds, carnelian, topaz, chrysolite, beryl, onyx, sapphire, turquoise, and emeralds; each gem engraved in settings of gold. I, Yahweh, made them for you on the day I created you.

14 I placed you with an anointed guardian cherub. You were on the Holy mountain of God where you walked among the fiery stones.

15 Your ways were blameless from the day I created you, until wickedness first appeared in you.

16 Your vast wealth filled you with violence and sin. So, I have cast you down in disgrace from the mountain of God. I banished you, O guardian cherub, from among the stones of fire.

17 Your heart became swollen with pride because of your beauty; your thirst for glory corrupted your wisdom. So, I hurled you down to the earth, and displayed you as a warning to other kings.

18 So great was your sin—the injustice of your buying and selling. You defiled your sanctuaries. So, I set a fire inside of you, and it consumed you entirely! I reduced you to ashes on the ground before the eyes of all who saw you.

19 All who once knew you are stunned at your fate. You have come to a terrible, dreadful end, and will be no more!

We must guard ourselves against walking in pride, one notable attribute of the adversary.  He attempted to exalt himself above FATHER as though he was fully independent.  He questioned FATHER’S specific Word in the garden which led to the fall of man.

Further, he has promoted injustice in the financial/economic system of the world.  This has served to enslave men by keeping them in a system designed to promote scarcity.  It is all about deception and enslavement.  You and I are meant to operate outside his system and rely on FATHER’S plan of blessing and seedtime and harvest of righteous seed.

Because of Adam’s sin, all mankind has inherited those same three consequences: 1) We are all born naturally separated from God;

2) God’s future plans for us to rule and reign alongside of Him have been forfeited; and

3) We have the same mortal enemy as Adam—satan.

These consequences have been passed down through every generation. The Epistle of Romans tells us that every person since Adam is born with a sin nature, not a spiritual nature, and thus has automatically “fallen short of the glory of God”

Paul wrote by The Holy Spirit in Romans chapter 3:

21  But now the righteousness of God apart from the law is revealed, being witnessed by the Law and the Prophets,

22 even the righteousness of God, through faith in Jesus Christ, to all and on all who believe. For there is no difference;

23 for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God,

24 being justified freely by His grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus,

In other words, without Christ’s intervention, all of us are born guilty of sin, the penalty of which is death (eternal separation from God). Consequently, not only was man’s fellowship with God broken because of Adam’s sin, we also have forfeited our future rulership in the coming Kingdom.

Each of us has a unique, assigned purpose and it could only be achieved through Christ’s intervention.  Once that occurs, we can identify and walk in our calling.  If we seek to walk in Holiness, that calling will be fulfilled.

Without Christ, you cannot answer the first question: Why am I here?

There is more!
