Be Faithful

Hebrews 3:7 Therefore, as the Holy Spirit says:

“Today, if you will hear His voice,

8 Do not harden your hearts as in the rebellion,

In the day of trial in the wilderness,

9 Where your fathers tested Me, tried Me,

And saw My works forty years.

10 Therefore I was angry with that generation,

And said, ‘They always go astray in their heart,

And they have not known My ways.’

11 So I swore in My wrath,

‘They shall not enter My rest.’ ”

12 Beware, brethren, lest there be in any of you an evil heart of unbelief in departing from the living God; 13 but exhort one another daily, while it is called “Today,” lest any of you be hardened through the deceitfulness of sin. 14 For we have become partakers of Christ if we hold the beginning of our confidence steadfast to the end, 15 while it is said:

“Today, if you will hear His voice,

Do not harden your hearts as in the rebellion.”

The Children of Israel could not enter the Promise Land at the appointed time during the Passover Age.  We are able to see their shortcoming: hardness of heart.  They knew HIS acts but did not know HIS ways.  They lacked an understanding of Love.  Fast forward to the Pentecostal Age.  Once again, we see mostly failure on the part of the leadership of the church, the people as well.  They did not understand what it took to enter into HIS rest.  They reasoned away revelation into tradition.  They looked for formulas to insure success.  They built bigger buildings and other infrastructure but the world has simply increased in lawlessness during this period.  They too lacked understanding to enter into HIS rest.  Now is the time to “hear HIS Voice”.  To know HIS ways, you must know HIS character.  To know HIS character, you must understand and embrace Love.  Love has been the missing ingredient of the past failures.  The church focused on about every other aspect of Scripture except Love.  Love demands you die to self preservation.  Love demands you die to your flesh and be willing to serve others.  How can you be faithful to HIM if you don’t have the revelation of Love and walk in that revelation?  How can you serve someone whose most primary motivation is unknown to you?  To be fully faithful in your walk, you MUST get the revelation of Love.  You must purpose each and every day to walk in it.  Your flesh will try to rebel.  Your mind will try to reason away from this walk.  You must put both into subjection.  Your mind and your body are to serve you in your calling.  Be faithful to pursue the revelation of Love and you will enter into HIS rest.
