Dwelling in the House of God

Psalm 84:

1 How lovely is Your tabernacle,

O LORD of hosts!

2 My soul longs, yes, even faints

For the courts of the LORD;

My heart and my flesh cry out for the living God.  NKJV

I must conclude that everyone who reads these writings ultimately wants to dwell in the House of GOD.  Actually, HE wants to fully dwell in us as mature sons of GOD.  It is our house that needs to be properly constructed as HIS dwelling place, Christ in us, the hope of glory.  Our house needs to be constructed properly in order that the fullness of Christ may dwell in us in order that we may minister to mankind in power and authority.  Gold and silver are used to metaphorically describe Divine nature and redemption in Scripture.

Psalm 12:6  The words of the LORD are pure words,
Like silver tried in a furnace of earth,
Purified seven times

Seven denotes “Spiritual Perfection” and silver represents pure words of the LORD, in effect, understanding.  Pure words not only provide information, but also knowledge, understanding, and Divine intent (Love).

Proverbs 16:16  How much better to get wisdom than gold!
And to get understanding is to be chosen rather than silver.

Wisdom must be the foundation of our “house”.  To have wisdom is to be teachable and to receive correction.  It is akin to repentance, or to turn away from your present course.  My friend Kemper states, “We must wipe the slate clean!”  We must remove the fleshly man from our ground in order to build a proper foundation.  We must change direction from the life of self-preservation and lay down our life for our brothers and sisters.  Wisdom must be our foundation because we must be willing to receive correction and become teachable.

Once our foundation is laid, the walls can now be constructed.  To hold the maximum weight, those walls must be plumbed and leveled.  We cannot be swayed by doctrines of men.  To properly frame our house, we must have understanding.  Silver denotes the pillars of the house.  Knowledge without understanding will not bring HIS Glory to fill our house.  Understanding is critical.

Proverbs 4:7  Wisdom is the principal thing;
Therefore get wisdom.
And in all your getting, get understanding.

Our Second Census requires a silver coin to denote a ransom for your soul.  Wisdom will tell you Our Heavenly Father often teaches us by having us take part in certain events that ingrain a truth into our consciousness.  HE uses symbols that we can relate to a greater truth.  The ransom coin of silver is to cause us to focus on “getting understanding”.  Understanding provides the walls for our house in order that HE might dwell or fill us with HIS presence, anointing, and revelation of Love.  Do you think that HE would empower someone who had little or no understanding?  Wisdom makes us teachable.  Understanding makes us mature.  Understanding promotes optimism in the face of adversity.  Rather than simply knowing HIS acts, HE wants us to understand HIS ways.  Obtaining HIS inheritance requires understanding.  In yesterday’s writing, it was clear that the children of Israel who died in the wilderness had no understanding.  They saw HIS acts but failed to know HIS ways thus they were unable to receive HIS inheritance.

Silver is the ransom for your soul.  Our Heavenly Father ordained it to be.  It is the covering of Passover, the atonement for Pentecost, and the understanding to enter into Tabernacles.  The Second Census has brought this into greater clarity.
