Forcing the Wellness Path

The increasing costs of healthcare are going to force Americans off the couch and redirect their focus toward personal wellness.  It’s about time.  I have long been an advocate of wellness rather than just treating symptoms.  No, I don’t think we need to go from one extreme to another, but we need to move toward an equilibrium.  Chronic illness with ongoing prescriptions is not equilibrium.  Hearing Our Heavenly Father’s voice and responding to HIS recommended treatment is.

I believe we can become sensitive to our body’s needs, not its cravings, its needs.  We are fully interconnected with our body at the most fundamental level.  As we pursue “dying to the flesh”, we will tune into our physiology.  Let me explain.  Over time, toxins build up in your system.  Your fat will store those toxins in order to protect your heart.  The body will also move toxins away from the heart, toward the extremities of the body: hands and feet.  For about 35 years I would have sporadic issues with my finger tips.  I thought it had something to do with the ink in paper and I was allergic to that ink.  A trip to the dermatologist resulted in steroid shots to those finger tips.  The issue would clear up, temporarily.  He treated the symptoms but had no idea of the problem.  BandAids became my friend during these episodes.  What was the cause?

About seven years’ ago, I shared this issue with Dr. Speckhart.  He screened the ‘Skin” site on my energy meridian and found that there was an interference for cement.  Eureka!  I worked part-time during my college days making ornamental stone out of cement.  I would be covered head-to-toe in the stuff.  My body retained the toxin and the expression of the toxin was cracking in my finger tips.  After I went through a detoxification protocol, my fingers have been normal ever since.  That really helps when you are a musician and want to play your guitar.  If I must work with cement now, I wear protective gloves.

“The body is designed to heal itself, the body is designed to live forever.”  This should be our assumption.  An illness isn’t the lack of a pharmaceutical drug.  It is an imbalance of some type.  We simply need to identify the imbalance and deal with it.  It could be an emotional imbalance.  Yes, emotions can evoke a physical response in the body.  Emotions can adversely affect hormones and in turn cause you to gain weight.  As we become sensitive to our own physiology and also hear Our Heavenly Father’s voice, our health will improve.  Instead of only praying for the food that is before you, maybe you should pray and ask what food should be placed before you.
