The Imperative of Love

Jesus said that His disciples would be known for their Love.  Can you sincerely claim to be a disciple?  Do you walk in Love?  Many could be classified as “undercover” Christians.  Six days a week, they walk in the world’s ways.  On Sunday, they put on a different face.  Jesus said it this way:

John 13: 34 A new commandment I give to you, that you love one another; as I have loved you, that you also love one another. 35 By this all will know that you are My disciples, if you have love for one another.”

Is your attitude “my way or the highway”?  Or do you seek to be led by the Holy Spirit in your day-to-day activities?

Romans 8:14   For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, they are the sons of God.

If you truly believe “GOD is Love” then you must believe the Holy Spirit’s power and intent is by Love.  Jesus is the expression of Love- the Word.  Jesus was led by Love to be tested:

Luke 4:1-2   And Jesus being full of the Holy Ghost returned from Jordan, and was led by the Spirit into the wilderness, Being forty days tempted of the devil. And in those days he did eat nothing: and when they were ended, he afterward hungered.

When we are tested, we mature into a son who can be trusted to operate according to Our Heavenly Father’s plan and purpose.  As we mature and are cleansed by the Word, darkness is removed and our understanding is “enlightened”.  In HIM there is no darkness and as we pass from the darkness to light, the Scriptures open up to us from a whole new perspective.  We know and understand HIS intent behind the blessings and curses of Deuteronomy 28.  The blessings are intended to minister life and healing by rallying resources to accomplish acts of Love rather than self-based consumption.  The curses are warnings of the results of lawlessness that are required to satisfy the scales of justice and judgment.  They are designed to be corrective, not acts of bitterness.

1 John 3:10   In this the children of God and the children of the devil are manifest: Whoever does not practice righteousness is not of God, nor is he who does not love his brother.

How much plainer can it get?  Walking in Love and practicing righteousness are determining factors of whether you are “of GOD’’ or of the devil.  You have no excuse to walk in any manner other than Love.  You are required to forgive in order to be forgiven.  This is exactly why Servias Ministries was established by Our Heavenly Father:  To promote the revelation of Love, to declare HIS Glorious Works, and to help our brethren mature into Sons of GOD.  The basis of maturing starts with Love.  This has been the missing ingredient with many of the churches in the past.  They preached on every subject except the revelation of Love.  Without Love, “self” becomes the focus.

The resources of Heaven await those who will build their belief system from a foundation of Love.  If you walk from the imperative of Love and take captive every thought, you will be unrestrained in your calling.  You will be known as one of HIS disciples.
