Revelation 20:1 Then I saw an angel coming down from heaven, having the key to the bottomless pit and a great chain in his hand.
2 He laid hold of the dragon, that serpent of old, who is the Devil and Satan, and bound him for a thousand years;
3 and he cast him into the bottomless pit, and shut him up, and set a seal on him, so that he should deceive the nations no more till the thousand years were finished. But after these things he must be released for a little while.
The three feasts periods follow the pattern of 4 +2 + 1, that is to say that the Passover Age was 4,000 years, Age of Pentecost is 2,000 years, and the Tabernacles Age is 1,000 years. The number six represents man and seven represents Spiritual perfection and completion. This last “1,000” year period is for the final perfecting of mankind for the purpose of complete restoration to Our Heavenly Father. During this time, the adversary is bound up and can no longer plague men and distract them from being restored to FATHER. On a personal level, the final phase of your maturing process overcomes the soul and the flesh inherent in man.
The word “Satan” has been exalted among the religious realm to evoke fear in men and women. This figure has been promoted in the minds of men and has been assigned power and authority and the ability to be everywhere at once. Only FATHER has these attributes, none else. Interestingly enough, Numbers chapter 22 provides us a key to the name “satan”:
22 And God’s anger was kindled because he went: and the angel of the LORD stood in the way for an adversary against him. Now he was riding upon his ass, and his two servants were with him.
This word “adversary” in the above verse is the Hebrew word satan. The word means- adversary, one who resists.
Once we ate and are eating of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, we have become independent of FATHER and HIS Way. When we submit to FATHER because we Love HIM, we begin eating of the Tree of Life. That independent nature in the hearts and minds of men is an adversary to them becoming Sons of FATHER thus the adversary is in us, not some horned being in a red suit with a pitchfork. We must cast down this adversary within us. When that is done, satan is cast out of our heaven, or spirit. The only reason the devil would appear to be everywhere is that the adversary has been found within each of us.
Jesus made this point when He chastised Peter who had no understanding about the plan of Jesus’ death and resurrection:
Matthew 16:23 But he turned, and said unto Peter, Get thee behind me, Satan: thou art an offence unto me: for thou savourest not the things that be of God, but those that be of men.
Mark 8:33 But when he had turned about and looked on his disciples, he rebuked Peter, saying, Get thee behind me, Satan: for thou savourest not the things that be of God, but the things that be of men.
Did Jesus run scared when confronted by the adversary? No, He rebuked the carnal nature of Peter that rose up against the plan of FATHER. In the wilderness and at the end of the forty days, Jesus rebukes the carnal nature attempting to move Him away from FATHER’S plan:
Luke 4:8 And Jesus answered and said unto him, Get thee behind me, Satan: for it is written, Thou shalt worship the Lord thy God, and him only shalt thou serve.
This adversary called “satan” is that adversary to FATHER’S Love plan and will plague men until he is no longer exalted in their spirits and souls. This adversary is also known as your ego who wants to be in control. It is time for this adversary to be bound once and for all. It is time for us to be victorious over this adversary that would plague us every day if possible. As we focus on FATHER’S Love for us at an individual level, as we walk with HIM and trust HIM, HE will anoint us in the third Baptism and will empower us to remove and cast down this adversary into the bottomless pit. I believe this key represents the Key of David, this key being the revelation of Love.
Once Love has bound up the adversary within us, we will no longer be deceived by the devices of deception. Finally, satan will be bound!
