Who do you trust?

In the news, a Caucasian woman claimed to be black.  Michael Jackson changed his look to appear less black.  Females want to be male and males want to be female.  There is a widespread identity crisis.  A recently deceased high school classmate defined her obituary by exalting the Seattle Seahawks professional football team.  Who do you identify with and place your trust and allegiance?

Illusion has replaced Truth and reality.  Who are you?  You are Love even if operating in a state of separation.  We are all created from FATHER’S Divine Intent and HE is Love thus we are Love.  The problem arises in the flesh where men and women are blinded by the lust of the flesh, the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life.  In the days, weeks, months, and years ahead, we will be subjected to change and chaos.  Each generation has had their own set of challenges but this could be the generation that sees the culmination of the close of one age and the beginning of another.  It appears we are in that transition.

Many of us have lived through times of consistency where there were expectations of a somewhat reliable future where one could plan accordingly.  It looks like those days are gone.  Mankind has been moving into a time of transition where the past is no indication of the future.  Trust among people, institutions, and nations is reaching a new low.  The illusions created by man’s systems are now being fully exposed.

Who can you trust to be looking out for your best interest?  As men become desperate, they can no longer be trusted.  As governments stray from righteousness, they can’t be trusted.  Only Our Heavenly Father can be fully trusted to do what is best for us at all times.

In Deuteronomy 28, there are two main sections: blessings on obedience and curses on disobedience.  What differentiates the two?

15 “But it shall come to pass, if you do not obey the voice of the LORD your God, to observe carefully all His commandments and His statutes which I command you today, that all these curses will come upon you and overtake you.”

FATHER has been longsuffering with the nations.  HIS Grace and Mercy have been extended beyond our understanding but there comes a point when correction becomes necessary.  In the transition to the Passover Age, Egypt was judged in a severe fashion.  In the transition to the Age of Pentecost, the Temple was destroyed, Rome fell, and those in charge were removed.  This transition appears to be no different in the severity.  For the last ten years as of December of this year, FATHER has been preparing us by revealing the depths of HIS Love for mankind.  When HE was preparing Joshua to enter into the Promised Land, Joshua was told to be of good courage.  We too must be of good courage in the months ahead.  The blessings of obedience center around hearing and responding by obeying what we hear:

1 “Now it shall come to pass, if you diligently obey the voice of the LORD your God, to observe carefully all His commandments which I command you today, that the LORD your God will set you high above all nations of the earth. 2 And all these blessings shall come upon you and overtake you, because you obey the voice of the LORD your God.”

It is all about trust.  FATHER is Who we will count on as we navigate the turbulence ahead.  We cannot be lukewarm in our pursuit of walking fully in THE SPIRIT.  We must make it our number one priority.  Shed any weight that would redirect your focus to the temporal things of this world.  The Psalmist understood the brevity of the situation:

18:2  The LORD is my rock and my fortress and my deliverer;
My God, my strength, in whom I will trust;
My shield and the horn of my salvation, my stronghold.

18:30  As for God, His way is perfect;
The word of the LORD is proven;
He is a shield to all who trust in Him.

In Proverbs chapter 3 we are urged to trust FATHER:

1 My son, do not forget my law, But let your heart keep my commands;

2 For length of days and long life And peace they will add to you.

3 Let not mercy and truth forsake you; Bind them around your neck,

Write them on the tablet of your heart,

4 And so find favor and high esteem In the sight of God and man.

5 Trust in the LORD with all your heart, And lean not on your own understanding;

6 In all your ways acknowledge Him, And He shall direct your paths.

7 Do not be wise in your own eyes; Fear the LORD and depart from evil.

8 It will be health to your flesh, And strength to your bones.

9 Honor the LORD with your possessions, And with the firstfruits of all your increase;

10 So your barns will be filled with plenty, And your vats will overflow with new wine.

If any of the latest prophecies and predictions come true, it will be imperative that we have a foundation of trust in FATHER.  By knowing the depths of HIS Love will we be able to fully trust every Word that proceeds out of HIS mouth.  FATHER’S unfathomable resources are awaiting the mature Sons.  Let us not become weary as we continue our trek up the Holy Mountain.  Let not our trust IN HIM waver.  HE is the Rock of our salvation.
