Healing for All or Some?

I believe that it is FATHER’S Divine Intent that we live in a healthy manner and HIS Word conveys that intent.  Yet just about everyone I know gets sick and some end up with chronic illnesses.  Each of us has our own unique set of circumstances and history that impacts our health and so there is no standard answer to why we become sick.  However there is a complete answer to healing and it is Christ Our Redeemer.  It is my goal to impart whatever revelation FATHER provides for the betterment of the reader.  I need to hear the same words I write so I end up being the first beneficiary of the blog.  Yes, I have been sick unto death but FATHER healed me of severe hepatitis in 1984.  The doctor and nurse thought I was going to die but in 11 days FATHER healed me completely.  HE had me immerse myself in HIS healing Scriptures and my body responded.  I didn’t feel like listening to tapes and reading HIS Word but it didn’t matter because the stakes were high.  If HE will heal me, HE will heal you as well.

Exodus 15:26  “If you diligently heed the voice of the LORD your God and do what is right in His sight, give ear to His commandments and keep all His statutes, I will put none of the diseases on you which I have brought on the Egyptians. For I am the LORD who heals you.”

FATHER revealed HIMSELF as Jehovah Rapha on that day and shared one of HIS characteristics of Love.  Love is in the healing business, not placing sickness or disease on us.  In Psalm 105:37 FATHER is shown to not only provide financial resources to the children of Israel but also bring them out in Divine health:

“He also brought them out with silver and gold,
And there was none feeble among His tribes.”

It is not FATHER Who must be convinced that HE is in the healing and salvation business, it is you and me.  We have no problem in ministering salvation yet the ministry of healing seems to be difficult.  We must be reminded of HIS Promises to us and Psalm 103 is a good place to start:

1 Bless the LORD, O my soul; And all that is within me, bless His holy name!

2 Bless the LORD, O my soul, And forget not all His benefits:

3 Who forgives all your iniquities, Who heals all your diseases,

4 Who redeems your life from destruction, Who crowns you with lovingkindness and tender mercies,

5 Who satisfies your mouth with good things, So that your youth is renewed like the eagle’s.

Verse 3 is a promise to you and me and we must fully embrace this promise.  Our mind and our body would try to convince us otherwise.  We must build up our spiritual man in the promises explicitly given to us by FATHER so that the mind and body will serve our spiritual man instead of controlling our outcome.  Psalm 103:3 plainly states that FATHER ministers salvation to the sinful and healing to those who are sick.  Traditions of men enslave, FATHER sets the captives free.

In Isaiah 53 we find that Jesus was to bare our sickness and disease on our behalf.  Jesus accepted the legal requirement to remove sickness and disease from our midst:

4 Surely He has borne our griefs And carried our sorrows;

Yet we esteemed Him stricken, Smitten by God, and afflicted.

5 But He was wounded for our transgressions, He was bruised for our iniquities;

The chastisement for our peace was upon Him, And by His stripes we are healed.

We need not bare sickness or disease.  Remember, HIS Will in HIS Word reveals HIS Intent.  FATHER intends for us to recover from sickness and disease and we should not settle for anything less.  If we will spend as much time and resources on health and healing as we do other things, we will see positive results in our lives.

How much time did Jesus spend healing the sick versus forgiving of sins?  Read and study the Gospels and you will find Jesus spent as much time healing people as He did ministering salvation.  He also instructed and commissioned the disciples (you and me) to do the same.

Faith for healing will come when you hear the Word and that is the point of this writing.  Your healing was authorized by Jesus receiving those stripes:

1 Pet 2:24  who Himself bore our sins in His own body on the tree, that we, having died to sins, might live for righteousness—by whose stripes you were healed.

HE is willing to heal the sick, HE will heal the sick, HE will heal the sick now.  Do you think HE wants to wait until tomorrow to heal you rather than today?  Now is the time for us to be healed and to heal the sick. In 2 Corinthians chapter 6 Paul writes:

2  For He says:
“In an acceptable time I have heard you,
And in the day of salvation I have helped you.”

Behold, now is the accepted time; behold, now is the day of salvation.

If you have no problem in believing you are saved, then you should have no doubt about FATHER’S willingness to heal you as well.  The reality of healing is no different than the reality of salvation.

Now is the time to embrace healing and the ministry of healing for others.
