Entering into Rest

We are to labor to enter into HIS Rest.  In Hebrews chapter 4 we read:

Therefore, since a promise remains of entering His rest, let us fear lest any of you seem to have come short of it.
For indeed the gospel was preached to us as well as to them; but the word which they heard did not profit them, not being mixed with faith in those who heard it.
For we who have believed do enter that rest, as He has said:

“So I swore in My wrath,
‘They shall not enter My rest,’ ”

although the works were finished from the foundation of the world.
For He has spoken in a certain place of the seventh day in this way: “And God rested on the seventh day from all His works”
and again in this place: “They shall not enter My rest.”
Since therefore it remains that some must enter it, and those to whom it was first preached did not enter because of disobedience

The children of Israel could not enter into the Promised Land because of their unbelief. This was to be the “land” of their rest from their own labor.  They were meant to strive no longer by their own soulish means and methods. If you work by your own understanding and knowledge, you will become tired and burned out.  Instead, you should labor to enter into HIS Rest.  But how?

When we submit to HIS Voice and only do what HE has called us to do, we enter into HIS river of flow and HIS guidance takes us through life without striving. This is the Sabbath rest that has no end, the seventh day when we rest from our own works and only do what FATHER instructs us to do.  Life becomes easy and simpler than the striving by our own methods.

When I respond to HIS Word, I have the energy and frame of mind to embrace what HE has called me to do.  I do not look at it as drudgery but look forward to walking in HIS Flow.  Being led by HIS SPIRIT opens doors and brings forth a smooth conclusion to any and all situations.  I show up at the right time and the resources are there to meet me to be deployed for HIS Glory.  We become accustomed to walking in this sensitivity and thus nothing is deemed “work” any longer but instead it is part of HIS ministry.

Are there challenges?  Yes but they are easily dealt with knowing HE has a solution at hand to overcome any giant in the land.  Jesus understood this as He spoke the words in John chapter 14:

10 Do you not believe that I am in the Father, and the Father in Me? The words that I speak to you I do not speak on My own authority; but the Father who dwells in Me does the works.
11 Believe Me that I am in the Father and the Father in Me, or else believe Me for the sake of the works themselves.

As we are led by FATHER’S Words it is the work of FATHER and not of ourselves for we have entered into HIS Rest.  Hallelujah!
