What Happened to Miracles?

In the Book of Judges chapter 6 we find Gideon:

11 Now the Angel of the LORD came and sat under the terebinth tree which was in Ophrah, which belonged to Joash the Abiezrite, while his son Gideon threshed wheat in the winepress, in order to hide it from the Midianites.

12 And the Angel of the LORD appeared to him, and said to him, “The LORD is with you, you mighty man of valor!”

13 Gideon said to Him, “O my lord, if the LORD is with us, why then has all this happened to us? And where are all His miracles which our fathers told us about, saying, ‘Did not the LORD bring us up from Egypt?’ But now the LORD has forsaken us and delivered us into the hands of the Midianites.”

14 Then the LORD turned to him and said, “Go in this might of yours, and you shall save Israel from the hand of the Midianites. Have I not sent you?”

A miracle is a surprising and welcome event that is not explicable by natural or scientific laws and is therefore considered to be the work of GOD.  It is supernatural or, above or superior to the natural.  This is where we should be living as a Believer.

Those who are reading these words are not reading them by accident but are intended to ponder these words so that they can be transformed into walking in the power conveyed to us by FATHER.  We should no longer be biding our time waiting for some date to pass thinking that the external will evoke some change on us.  Instead we should embrace the power-filled Word FATHER has set before us and in us.  We must raise our standard of believing to the supernatural or “above the natural”.  The answers to our problems lie above the level of the problem.  So rise up!

Miracles are still happening today even if you or I are not participating in them.  Movies are being made about some of them and there is no reason for us to be on the sideline unless we are satisfied with where we are at spiritually.  We don’t need some manmade device or method for healing when FATHER is in the business of healing those who rise up above the natural.  We must move beyond the acceptable and grasp the perfect Will of FATHER.  Jesus came specifically to express the Love and Divine Intent of FATHER by healing the sick and restoring what man thought was impossible to be made whole.

In the above passage, Gideon was looking elsewhere for miracles to come forth but the angel redirected the discussion back to him.  We must quit doing the same thing.  FATHER is looking for willing vessels of honor to flow HIS power through.  Each of us must stand up and say “Here I am FATHER.”

The miracle-working ministries of Pentecost are gone.  Smith Wigglesworth,  F.F. Bosworth, Oral Roberts, and T.L Osborn have passed away.  They operated in the time of the “acceptable” Will of the Pentecost Age.  Isn’t is time for the “Perfect” to operate in the age of Tabernacles?  Didn’t Jesus speak the following words in John 14:

12 “Most assuredly, I say to you, he who believes in Me, the works that I do he will do also; and greater works than these he will do, because I go to My Father.

13 And whatever you ask in My name, that I will do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son.

14 If you ask anything in My name, I will do it.”

Let us no longer settle for the mediocre but rise above the chaos, sickness, and disease by expecting FATHER to empower us with what Jesus promised… greater works.  We are worthy because the Head of HIS Body is worthy.  We must doubt not what Jesus spoke concerning us.  FATHER let YOUR power flow through us in order that signs, miracles, and wonders follow us as we express YOUR Love to mankind!
