Celebrating The Resurrection

Today we celebrate the resurrection of Our Lord Jesus Christ.  I am truly grateful that FATHER sent HIS Son to redeem all of mankind which includes my family, our friends, our acquaintances, the stranger, and even our enemies.  Yep, that covers everyone!  The Beloved Disciple John wrote in the 3rd chapter of his Gospel:

16 For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.

17 For God did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world, but that the world through Him might be saved.

The term “whoever” denotes all, anyone, and does not infer any exclusions.   The “world” encompasses all of mankind thus we should purpose to move toward unity rather than supporting division and associated divisive behavior.  Jesus was FATHER’S manifested Example of Divine unconditional Love and we should live our lives in the same manner.  Jesus specifically dealt with this topic in John chapter 13:

12 So when He (Jesus) had washed their feet, taken His garments, and sat down again, He said to them, “Do you know what I have done to you?

13 You call Me Teacher and Lord, and you say well, for so I am.

14 If I then, your Lord and Teacher, have washed your feet, you also ought to wash one another’s feet.

15 For I have given you an example, that you should do as I have done to you.

16 Most assuredly, I say to you, a servant is not greater than his master; nor is he who is sent greater than he who sent him.

17 If you know these things, blessed are you if you do them.

If you want to truly honor the resurrection of Jesus Christ then serve mankind in the same manner.  The act of washing feet was not the point, the intent behind the act is where we should focus.  Give of your life to your brother and sister… He did!  Look for ways of being a blessing to others rather than look for ways to extract from them to feed your ego or your pocketbook.  There are many people who make poor decisions and want others to “bless” them in order to justify their past mistakes.  We are to be a blessing rather than to seek a blessing from others.

Some people focus on the customs surrounding Easter and spew forth divisive words of criticism about the term “Easter”, egg hunts, etc.  Does Love beat up everyone else and while doing so exalt one’s self at the same time?  FATHER isn’t moved by the customs and traditions of man but HE is moved with compassion toward mankind and HE understands the need of people to have something in common.  We need to look for what we have in common with others rather than slicing them up by attacking their customs and traditions.

Everyone is at least partially blind to the Truth of the Gospel.  I look back at some of the doctrines I held in the past only to find how mistaken I was once FATHER opened my eyes to deeper Truths.  Consider the disciples.  They walked with Jesus for 3 1/2 years yet only one disciple showed up at the cross.  Of course it was the Beloved Disciple John who had a revelation of Love.  The others had scattered out of fear.  Peter denied Christ three times out of ignorance and blindness yet Jesus restored him.  That is what Love does.

We should look at today’s celebration as an opportunity to Love and unify all those people FATHER created who are in our circle of influence.  Let the children hunt for eggs in their desire to play.  Be a light of joy and Love rather than an isolationist who is condescending towards others who have less revelation.  Celebrate the Resurrection in Love for that was the motivation of Resurrection to begin with.  Hallelujah,  The KING has risen!
