All the Law and the Prophets

The “Joshua/Elisha” era is at hand.  Both completed what their “mentors” did not.  Moses saw the Promised Land but fell short due to his unbelief (Numbers 20:12).  Elijah fell short because of his fear (1Kings 19:3-4).  Fear and unbelief kept the children of Israel from entering the Promised Land even though Joshua and Caleb were ready to go:

Num 13:30  Then Caleb quieted the people before Moses, and said, "Let us go up at once and take possession, for we are well able to overcome it."

Num 13:31  But the men who had gone up with him said, "We are not able to go up against the people, for they are stronger than we."

Fear and unbelief had to be removed from the people before they could enter in.  In the Old Testament, the generation who left Egypt (bondage) had to die before the Promised Land could be taken.  What do we need to enter into the Promised Land?  We need the remedy to fear and unbelief!

1John 4:16   And we have known and believed the love that God has for us. God is love, and he who abides in love abides in God, and God in him.

1John 4:17   Love has been perfected among us in this: that we may have boldness in the day of judgment; because as He is, so are we in this world.

1John 4:18   There is no fear in love; but perfect love casts out fear, because fear involves torment. But he who fears has not been made perfect in love.

Our Heavenly Father is the Author of Love, HE IS LOVE.  As we abide in HIM, then our Love is perfected and we are able to enter into the Promised Land.  Love is like a magnet and attracts resources to us to enable us to function as Sons of the Most High GOD.  People will begin to respond to that Love and the Most Holy Spirit will flow through us with that great anointing power of healing of body and soul.  Our walk will be led by The Spirit and our every action will be one of reconciliation.  At first, our flesh will rebel and war against us our walk leaves behind the lust of the flesh, the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life, which is not of the Father, but is of the world.  Our attention will no longer focus on the things of this world but on the weighty spiritual matters to help mankind.  We will be empowered to bring forth The Lord’s Prayer and serve The Kingdom in Love.

Titus 1:15  Unto the pure all things [are] pure: but unto them that are defiled and unbelieving [is] nothing pure; but even their mind and conscience is defiled.

We see a purity in Joshua’s heart when Moses was returning from one of ascensions to commune with Our Heavenly Father:

Exods 32:17   And when Joshua heard the noise of the people as they shouted, he said unto Moses, [There is] a noise of war in the camp.

Moses corrected Joshua and told him that they were having a party with a golden calf.  Joshua was a faithful servant to Moses and his faithfulness and purity were rewarded by leading the children into the Promised Land.

Elisha was also faithful unto Elijah and was rewarded with a double portion of his “spirit” or fruitfulness.  Elijah’s ministry consisted of eight miracles whereas Elisha’s ministry consisted of sixteen miracles, the number of Love.  This double portion is linked to Joseph and the blessing given to both his sons in Genesis 48:22.  This additional portion of inheritance was Shechem, where the affirming covenant was made by Joshua (Joshua 24:1) at the end of his conquest of the Promised Land whereas the initial covenant was made at Gilgal (Joshua 5:9), also where Elisha began his ministry (2 Kings 2:1).

Joshua (representing the Law) and Elisha (representing the Prophets) both were called to serve before they would assume their callings.  They faithfully ministered to their predecessors until such time that their ministry began.  Their Love for Our Heavenly Father enabled them to complete their missions and they were given the necessary tools to cross the “finish line”.  These two ministries provide us a better understanding of the development of those who wish to bring forth the Kingdom on earth.

Now let’s look at the way Jesus connected these two types of ministries:

Matthew 22:36-40

"Teacher, which is the great commandment in the law?"

Jesus said to him, "‘You shall love the LORD your God with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your mind.”

"This is the first and great commandment.

"And the second is like it: ‘You shall love your neighbor as yourself.”

"On these two commandments hang all the Law and the Prophets.
