Standing On Truth

I must stand on Truth thus I must write about it, expose it, and speak it no matter what the opposition will do to challenge it.  Paul wrote by THE SPIRIT in Ephesians chapter 6:

10 Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord and in the power of His might.

11 Put on the whole armor of God, that you may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil.

12 For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this age, against spiritual hosts of wickedness in the heavenly places.

13 Therefore take up the whole armor of God, that you may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand.

People are constantly attempting to redefine Truth by manipulating it with positive terms.  For instance, illegal aliens are called undocumented workers.  In pharmaceutical trials, death is called unintended consequences.  These new terms attempt to redefine Truth but FATHER is not be moved when mankind attempts such manipulation to hide their lawlessness.  What is the first aspect of armor does Paul mention when he directs us to put on the whole armor of GOD?

14 Stand therefore, having girded your waist with truth, having put on the breastplate of righteousness,

Truth cannot be redefined and it must hold up the foundation of your walk.  Without Truth you cannot stand!  Jesus used the Truth to defeat the devil in the wilderness, then the devil left Him.  Jesus wasn’t dogged by the devil on a daily basis Himself.  Once He overcame the devil in the wilderness, He began destroying the works of the devil by preaching Truth in Love.  By THE SPIRIT Paul wrote in Ephesians chapter 4:

14 that we should no longer be children, tossed to and fro and carried about with every wind of doctrine, by the trickery of men, in the cunning craftiness of deceitful plotting,

15 but, speaking the truth in love, may grow up in all things into Him who is the head—Christ—

16 from whom the whole body, joined and knit together by what every joint supplies, according to the effective working by which every part does its share, causes growth of the body for the edifying of itself in love.

We must walk in Love and Truth and no longer be quiet when confronted by the opposition.  By effectively walking in this manner, we are then able to destroy the works of the devil without hesitation.

We must not be preoccupied with the devil, Jesus wasn’t.  When confronted with the devil, Jesus resisted him.  When confronted with demons, Jesus cast them out.  When Jesus was confronted with sickness and diseased, He healed them all.  When confronted with legalism by the leaders of the day, He set them straight and revealed their intent.  We too need to be well-balanced in our approach with others.  Jesus did not come to condemn the world, neither should we.  Jesus did not come to criticize those with sickness or infirmities, He came to restore them.  So should we.  Jesus came not to judge people, neither should we.

We must never give up.  Jesus spoke in Luke chapter 13:

10 Now He was teaching in one of the synagogues on the Sabbath.

11 And behold, there was a woman who had a spirit of infirmity eighteen years, and was bent over and could in no way raise herself up.

12 But when Jesus saw her, He called her to Him and said to her, “Woman, you are loosed from your infirmity.”

13 And He laid His hands on her, and immediately she was made straight, and glorified God.

14 But the ruler of the synagogue answered with indignation, because Jesus had healed on the Sabbath; and he said to the crowd, “There are six days on which men ought to work; therefore come and be healed on them, and not on the Sabbath day.”

15 The Lord then answered him and said, “Hypocrite! Does not each one of you on the Sabbath loose his ox or donkey from the stall, and lead it away to water it?

16 So ought not this woman, being a daughter of Abraham, whom Satan has bound—think of it—for eighteen years, be loosed from this bond on the Sabbath?”

17 And when He said these things, all His adversaries were put to shame; and all the multitude rejoiced for all the glorious things that were done by Him.

Imagine living with an infirmity for 18 years.  The Truth does not have an expiration date attached to it.  The Truth prevailed over this woman when all seemed hopeless.  Love does not give up and so when we are being opposed, we must stand!  We must not be intimidated by what the opposition has managed to do in people’s lives just as Jesus was not moved by the duration of oppression and enslavement.  It is written by THE SPIRIT in Acts chapter 10:

38 how God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Spirit and with power, who went about doing good and healing all who were oppressed by the devil, for God was with Him.

As we are gird about our loins in Truth and walk in Love, we should expect the same results.
