Diverse Unity- Peace on Earth

Mutuality is a reciprocal relation between interdependent entities (objects or individuals or groups).  We are all dependent upon each other even though each of us is unique and with our own gifts and callings.  One person cannot push an SUV up an incline but when you add three or four more acting together, the group can achieve what the individuals could not.  We are all called to be the “Body of Christ” yet most do not act like it.  Our Heavenly Father created the “Law of Mutuality” and it is seen throughout the Scripture.  Did not Our Heavenly Father create interdependence when He created the Law of the Double Witness?

Deuteronomy 19:15  One witness shall not rise up against a man for any iniquity, or for any sin, in any sin that he sinneth: at the mouth of two witnesses, or at the mouth of three witnesses, shall the matter be established.

Love and forgiveness act as the glue among the members of the body.  Everyone tends to know 1 Corinthians chapter 13 as the Love chapter but Paul did not divide his letter up by chapters and verses.  Let’s review the previous chapter that introduces the sixteen aspects of Love.  It is divided up into Spiritual Gifts and Different Members in One Body.

1Corinthians 12:4   Now there are diversities of gifts, but the same Spirit.

The Most Holy Spirit of Our Heavenly Father brings for unity in our diverse callings and that is why we are to “walk by the Spirit” rather than walking by the flesh.  Our flesh and our ego would tell us that our gifts and our calling are more important to the Kingdom than the next person’s.  Paul addresses this egotistical position in this chapter:

Verse 12:  And the eye cannot say unto the hand, I have no need of thee: nor again the head to the feet, I have no need of you.

The eye must serve the body in establishing direction but without the feet, the eye will never arrive at the destination.  As we seek to be “one” with Our Heavenly Father AND one with each other, we will be empowered to bring forth the Kingdom.  Unity is the key and Love is the path to unity.  Peace on Earth will begin manifesting when Love and Unity are embraced by the Body of Christ.
