Eternally Defeated Foe

The result of Jesus dying on the cross and being resurrected from the dead was to forever defeat the god of this world once and for all.  Annual sacrifices were no longer required in the Temple for Jesus forever satisfied that requirement.  Paul wrote by THE SPIRIT in Ephesians chapter 2:

1 And you He made alive, who were dead in trespasses and sins,

2 in which you once walked according to the course of this world, according to the prince of the power of the air, the spirit who now works in the sons of disobedience,

3 among whom also we all once conducted ourselves in the lusts of our flesh, fulfilling the desires of the flesh and of the mind, and were by nature children of wrath, just as the others.

4 But God, who is rich in mercy, because of His great love with which He loved us,

5 even when we were dead in trespasses, made us alive together with Christ (by grace you have been saved),

6 and raised us up together, and made us sit together in the heavenly places in Christ Jesus,

We must no longer accept the lies of the devil who would convince us we are not worthy to sit together in heavenly places in Christ Jesus.  It would be like inheriting a large fortune and living in apparent poverty while your inheritance awaits your access and usage.  Why do we continue living in a substandard manner relative to our inheritance in Christ Jesus?

7 that in the ages to come He might show the exceeding riches of His grace in His kindness toward us in Christ Jesus.

8 For by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God,

9 not of works, lest anyone should boast.

10 For we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand that we should walk in them.

The ego would try to tell you that you must earn your way but by grace we have been saved for it is the gift of FATHER to us.  Simply accept it and begin walking in it!  Will there be challenges during the transition of renewing our mind?  Absolutely!  Why?  We have been subjected to the world’s beliefs, half-truths, and biases which we have based many of our beliefs.  We must cast down all vain imaginations and replace them with the pure Truth which only comes from Our Heavenly Father.

Sometimes it is simply better to start reading the Gospels without any prior intent or bias and let the Word be planted into fertile ground.  You will find passages which were meaningless to you in the past but are now bursting forth in life.  You are now overcoming man’s interpretations based on their own biases and you are now allowing the Holy Spirit to minister life more abundantly to you.

Paul wrote 2 Corinthians chapter 5 by THE SPIRIT:

17 Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; old things have passed away; behold, all things have become new.

We must let the old things pass away and fully accept ourselves as a new creation.  We are no longer subject to the wicked one who would promote the lie that we are that old man.  That man is gone so don’t try to resurrect the old man for we are a new creation in Christ Jesus.  Paul further states in Ephesians chapter 5:

30 For we are members of His body, of His flesh and of His bones.

Here we have the pure Word telling us who we are.  Are we to challenge these emphatic statements given to us by FATHER through HIS SPIRIT?  Let us embrace these Truths and fully acknowledge that the foe is truly defeated… eternally.  Let us take on our rightful position with Christ and walk accordingly.
