Willingness To Believe

In Luke chapter 8 Jesus was requested to heal the twelve year old daughter of Jairus, a ruler of the synagogue.  Within this passage a woman was also healed of a twelve year disease (a flow of blood).  Within these verses are several revelations given to us so that we can believe in Divine healing.  We can either accept or reject these revelations but it does not affect the validity of the revelations.  You can focus solely on the “types and shadows” found within the text and your belief will be diluted appropriately.  If you focus on the specific facts and Truth contained therein, then your faith will grow, mature, and accept these Truths to be superior to the natural, lower truths adhered to by man in his soulish orientation.

40 So it was, when Jesus returned, that the multitude welcomed Him, for they were all waiting for Him.

41 And behold, there came a man named Jairus, and he was a ruler of the synagogue. And he fell down at Jesus’ feet and begged Him to come to his house,

42 for he had an only daughter about twelve years of age, and she was dying.

But as He went, the multitudes thronged Him.

43 Now a woman, having a flow of blood for twelve years, who had spent all her livelihood on physicians and could not be healed by any,

44 came from behind and touched the border of His garment. And immediately her flow of blood stopped.

45 And Jesus said, “Who touched Me?”

When all denied it, Peter and those with him said, “Master, the multitudes throng and press You, and You say, ‘Who touched Me?’ ”

46 But Jesus said, “Somebody touched Me, for I perceived power going out from Me.”

47 Now when the woman saw that she was not hidden, she came trembling; and falling down before Him, she declared to Him in the presence of all the people the reason she had touched Him and how she was healed immediately.

48 And He said to her, “Daughter, be of good cheer; your faith has made you well. Go in peace.”

The current healthcare industry had no solutions for the woman even though they accepted her finances and left her penniless.  The current system failed to heal her in any fashion.  Jesus’ garment was the only thing the woman touched but Spiritually that was sufficient to cause the healing flow inherent in Jesus to fulfill its purpose.  Jesus did not lay hands on the woman to heal her.  His faith was not specifically directed toward her when she was healed.  She saw no need for an extended prayer to plead for healing.  Jesus declared that her faith made her well.  The woman could go in peace because Love is the origin of peace.  Healing takes place in a higher state than the practice of medicine and Jesus operates in that higher state.  The practice of medicine operates in the lower state and is subject to the higher Spiritual state in all aspects.  Love operates at the highest Spiritual state and generates the highest frequency affecting man.

49 While He was still speaking, someone came from the ruler of the synagogue’s house, saying to him, “Your daughter is dead. Do not trouble the Teacher.”

50 But when Jesus heard it, He answered him, saying, “Do not be afraid; only believe, and she will be made well.”

51 When He came into the house, He permitted no one to go in except Peter, James, and John, and the father and mother of the girl.

52 Now all wept and mourned for her; but He said, “Do not weep; she is not dead, but sleeping.”

53 And they ridiculed Him, knowing that she was dead.

54 But He put them all outside, took her by the hand and called, saying, “Little girl, arise.”

55 Then her spirit returned, and she arose immediately. And He commanded that she be given something to eat.

56 And her parents were astonished, but He charged them to tell no one what had happened.

Before Jesus arrived at the house of Jairus, He was notified that the daughter was dead.  This news did not affect the expected outcome in any manner.  Jesus was given an excuse to proceed no further but was not moved by the evil report.  This report was intended to produce fear in order to solidify the event of death but Jesus did not accept it nor did He deny it.  Many deny the reality observed at the lower state in hoping that their denial will somehow produce faith.  The real issue is that we must focus on the Spiritual state rather than the lower, physical state where most men dwell.  Denial does not produce faith, belief in the healing power of FATHER through Jesus Christ does.

Upon entering the house, Jesus remove those full of unbelief.  Their evil report would not impact those remaining with Jesus in the house.  Jesus negated the evil report of death by declaring the girl to be asleep.  This confirms that physical death is not permanent but instead a temporary state.  Jesus was not moved by the ridicule of those who were mourning.  He gave them no consideration in this situation.  Their evil report simply exposed their hearts and lack of revelation.

Jesus spoke to death and it responded thus He established no permanency in death whatsoever.  This further indicates that death, sickness, and disease are subject to the higher Spiritual state and her spirit responded to His command.  He then ministered to her physically by directing others to feed her.

You can remove this passage from the Scripture but it does not negate the revelation contained therein.  If we can embrace the higher Truths found in the passage, we will indeed mature to the next level.  If we truly believe that Jesus ministered to both the woman and the child successfully then our faith will grow into great faith, the kind that pleases FATHER.
