The Darkness Before Deliverance

The Children of Israel were in utter and complete bondage to Pharaoh doing back-braking labor making brick every day.  They cried out to THE LORD and HE prepared Moses to deliver them.  In Exodus chapter 4 FATHER gave Moses supernatural signs as a confirmation of his calling.  His rod was turned into a serpent then reverted back to the rod and his hand became leprous when he placed it under his cloak.  When inserted the second time it returned to normal.  If there was still unbelief among the elders of the children of Israel, FATHER gave Moses a third sign of turning water into blood.  Moses was fully equipped to deal with Pharaoh.

When FATHER sent Moses to Pharaoh the first time it became worse for children of Israel.  It is written by THE SPIRIT in Exodus chapter 5:

4 Then the king of Egypt said to them, “Moses and Aaron, why do you take the people from their work? Get back to your labor.”

5 And Pharaoh said, “Look, the people of the land are many now, and you make them rest from their labor!”

6 So the same day Pharaoh commanded the taskmasters of the people and their officers, saying,

7 “You shall no longer give the people straw to make brick as before. Let them go and gather straw for themselves.

8 And you shall lay on them the quota of bricks which they made before. You shall not reduce it. For they are idle; therefore they cry out, saying, ‘Let us go and sacrifice to our God.’

9 Let more work be laid on the men, that they may labor in it, and let them not regard false words.”

Don’t be surprised if things look worse in the natural before your deliverance comes forth because FATHER requires us to respond in faith when confronting the growing darkness.  The devil will use all his resources to weaken our faith in FATHER’S Word to us.  The back-breaking work surely caused feebleness among the people and we can rightly assume they had poor diets as well.  Their faith would be tested multiple times before their deliverance until the first born of Egypt would lose their lives.

Once FATHER had the children of Israel sacrifice the Lamb on their behalf, their deliverance manifested.  They ate the Lamb until It was fully consumed and placed Its blood on their doorposts and lintel, similar to a depiction of the cross.  The ate of the Lamb so that when they departed there would be none sick among them.  All were healed of their infirmities so that they could quickly depart their captivity.  Before departure they were instructed in Exodus chapter 12:

11 And thus you shall eat it: with a belt on your waist, your sandals on your feet, and your staff in your hand. So you shall eat it in haste. It is the LORD’s Passover.

FATHER instructed them by faith to prepare for imminent departure even though in the natural they were at their darkest moment.  Just before their deliverance, death would hover them yet the Blood protected them that night.  What would have happened if they gave up one day early?  The enemy would have succeeded in foiling their deliverance.  Likewise, let us not give up in receiving deliverance.

David dealt with similar adversities yet he had faith in FATHER to deliver him from his enemies.  By THE SPIRIT it is written in Psalm 35:

17 Lord, how long will You look on?

Rescue me from their destructions, My precious life from the lions.

18 I will give You thanks in the great assembly; I will praise You among many people.

And in Psalm 13:

1 How long, O LORD? Will You forget me forever?

How long will You hide Your face from me?

2 How long shall I take counsel in my soul, Having sorrow in my heart daily?

How long will my enemy be exalted over me?

But later in Psalm 13:

5 But I have trusted in Your mercy; My heart shall rejoice in Your salvation.

6 I will sing to the LORD, Because He has dealt bountifully with me.

Sometimes our humanity asks FATHER “How long?” but let us remain steadfast in faith.  Paul wrote by THE SPIRIT in Romans chapter 8:

28 And we know that all things work together for good to those who love God, to those who are the called according to His purpose

You and I are called according to HIS purpose or we would not be sharing this writing.  Let us continue in unwavering faith no matter how dark things look but let us sing to THE LORD and express our trust in HIS mercy.  Let us rejoice in our salvation and magnify HIS Name above all we see and hear for our deliverance is drawing near.
