Steadfast In Faith

Peter wrote by THE SPIRIT in 1 Peter chapter 5:

6 Therefore humble yourselves under the mighty hand of God, that He may exalt you in due time,

7 casting all your care upon Him, for He cares for you.

8 Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil walks about like a roaring lion, seeking whom he may devour.

9 Resist him, steadfast in the faith, knowing that the same sufferings are experienced by your brotherhood in the world.

In order to resist the one who kills, steals, and destroys, we must be steadfast in faith.  Sickness and disease comes from the adversary whereas healing comes from FATHER (JehovahRapha, the GOD who heals).  One of FATHER’S redemptive promises to us is to heal us of our sickness and disease thus we should seek out HIS promise in Scripture so that we will know what to ask when we pray.  FATHER watches over HIS Word to perform it but is not obligated to perform any other request that does not conform to HIS Word.  Also, HE expects us to ask in faith, without wavering.  THE Word must become greater in us than any word spoken by man which is in conflict of FATHER’S Word.  Doctors can only communicate based on their training and experience thus they are limited in their understanding.  Since FATHER’S promises are unlimited in scope, we should develop our faith to trust in HIS Word over what man confesses.

We can only be steadfast in faith by reading, studying, and meditating on The Word consistently.  By THE SPIRIT, Paul wrote in Romans chapter 10:

17 So then faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.

If we want to produce good fruit in one of the redemptive promises of FATHER, we must build up our faith in that area.  Faith requires an expectation of manifestation and if we don’t know HIS Word, how can we expect success in that area?  These writings are intended to assist you in knowing HIS Word in your area of need.  All of us need to know how to combat sickness and disease for this is a primary method the adversary uses to keep us from being fruitful for The Kingdom.  In these latter times, I believe great faith coming from a pure heart is even more needful than in the past.  As the deception of the masses increases, it is even more important to guard our hearts lest we be deceived as well.

Paul wrote by THE SPIRIT in 1 Thessalonians chapter 5:

8 But let us who are of the day be sober, putting on the breastplate of faith and love, and as a helmet the hope of salvation.

In the 1970’s and 80’s I saw many healing miracles during the “faith” movement.  However at the time, Love was not emphasized in most ministries.  As Paul states, we must put on the breastplate of faith AND Love.  We must be calm and vigilant during the time we are now in.  I believe it is imperative that we build our faith with the foundation of Love so that we can effectively minister to a hurting and dying world.  This can only be achieved as we focus on the pure Word in the areas that can make a difference.  If you are focused in an area that is not intended to change you, then what is the point?  There were Jewish leaders who knew the Law but Jesus revealed in Matthew chapter 23:

27 “Woe to you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! For you are like whitewashed tombs which indeed appear beautiful outwardly, but inside are full of dead men’s bones and all uncleanness.”

You can know The Word but without Love you could be as a “whitewashed tomb”.  Head knowledge does not replace revelation in a pure heart.  As we walk in Love and study the passages of faith, we will plant The Word of faith in our hearts.  It will grow to the point of great faith and we will be able to fully resist the devil and receive whatever promise we need at the time.  The three simple steps:  Know (The Word), Ask (FATHER in prayer), and Act (according to HIS Word).
