Transformation Is Required

Paul wrote by THE SPIRIT in Romans chapter 12:

1 Therefore I urge you, brethren, by the mercies of God, to present your bodies a living and holy sacrifice, acceptable to God, which is your spiritual service of worship (reasonable service).

2 And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, so that you may prove what the will of God is, that which is good and acceptable and perfect. (NASB)

The sons and daughters of FATHER are given a specific directive to be internally transformed.  There are many who want to have a glorified body but are relying on some external event to initiate the transformation without considering the need for internal change.  If I am not focused on my own internal transformation daily, then my mind will ultimately not conform to FATHER’S will.  If I am not constantly renewing my mind, then I am conforming to the world’s ways.  We are receiving input from the world on a daily basis so shouldn’t we combat its influences by receiving FATHER’S Word as well?

The world promotes the lies of the devil, often in a subtle manner.  Jesus spoke in John chapter 8:

44 You are of your father the devil, and the desires of your father you want to do. He was a murderer from the beginning, and does not stand in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he speaks a lie, he speaks from his own resources, for he is a liar and the father of it.

FATHER’S Word is Truth and all else has some element of falsehood about it.  Jesus specifically called the devil “father of lies.”  His goal is to kill, steal, and destroy by any deceptive means possible.  He will attempt to dilute FATHER’S redemptive promises by promoting compromise and misdirection.  When we become lukewarm and no longer fervent to study FATHER’S Word, we subject ourselves to the dilution being perpetuated by the adversary and his children.  Let us renew our commitment to study and meditate on HIS Word and not allow ourselves to be misdirected into studying topics which are of limited or no value to our transformation.  We should focus on life-changing topics designed to produce good fruit rather than directing our efforts to topics which only serve to tickle our logic.  As an example, would you rather be an expert on the time cycles in Scripture or an expert in healing?  Which will change people’s lives?

In Matthew chapter 24, Jesus spoke:

24 For false christs and false prophets will rise and show great signs and wonders to deceive, if possible, even the elect.

Jesus warned us against pursuing signs above the Truth of FATHER’S Word.  When one focuses on signs, they become subject to deception which is designed to move them away from FATHER and HIS Word.  By THE SPIRIT, Paul wrote:

9 The coming of the lawless one is according to the working of Satan, with all power, signs, and lying wonders,

10 and with all unrighteous deception among those who perish, because they did not receive the love of the truth, that they might be saved.

As we are transformed, our Love of the Truth becomes our motivation and we are no longer moved by what we see.  Our trust in FATHER’S Word becomes greater than the temporary circumstances we find ourselves in.  Our faith in HIS Word grows to the point where we are totally at peace no matter what is happening in the world.  Let us each focus on renewing our mind so that our transformation will move toward full maturity, similar to our elder Brother Jesus Christ.
