Made Alive For Good Works

Paul wrote by THE SPIRIT in Ephesians chapter 2:

1 And you He made alive, who were dead in trespasses and sins,

2 in which you once walked according to the course of this world, according to the prince of the power of the air (Satan), the spirit who now works in the sons of disobedience,

3 among whom also we all once conducted ourselves in the lusts of our flesh, fulfilling the desires of the flesh and of the mind, and were by nature children of wrath, just as the others.

Paul identifies Satan as the one who motivates the children of disobedience which included you and me when we were separated from FATHER.  The devil used our mind and flesh against us when we were among the sons of disobedience.  Knowing this, we must be careful to not allow logic and reasoning to supersede FATHER’S Word in our lives.  Common sense is “common” in the world, not in the Heavenlies, so we must be led by THE SPIRIT in all matters in order to walk according to FATHER’S perfect will.  FATHER through HIS Son Jesus has made us alive and able to walk according to THE SPIRIT but it is up to each of us to draw near to HIM.

4 But God, who is rich in mercy, because of His great love with which He loved us,

5 even when we were dead in trespasses, made us alive together with Christ (by grace you have been saved),

6 and raised us up together, and made us sit together in the heavenly places in Christ Jesus,

7 that in the ages to come He might show the exceeding riches of His grace in His kindness toward us in Christ Jesus.

8 For by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God,

9 not of works, lest anyone should boast.

10 For we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand that we should walk in them.

We must understand the reality that we are FATHER’S workmanship and were created in Christ for good works.  FATHER intends for us to walk in those good works so it is up to us to embrace this Truth on a daily basis.  HIS great Love made us alive in Christ so we should not think it difficult to walk according to HIS SPIRIT.  FATHER is kind toward us so we should not think it impossible to rise up and sit together with Christ Jesus.  Though common sense would challenge this reality, we must not allow our minds to restrict us in this manner.  Our faith should expect results in what the world calls impossible.  If FATHER was willing to provide us the gift of grace by HIS great Love, HE is also able to raise us up if we are willing to believe.

HE expects us to grow in faith so that we will walk in the fullness of good works.  He prepared us beforehand which means HIS Divine Intent was imparted into each of us as we were formed in the womb.  HE then gave us HIS Word so that we would be able to embrace HIS Divine Intent here on earth.  HIS Great Plan of redemption was implemented and included each of us so that we now can fulfill our individual, unique callings.  By THE SPIRIT James wrote in chapter 4:

7 Therefore submit to God. Resist the devil and he will flee from you.

8 Draw near to God and He will draw near to you. Cleanse your hands, you sinners; and purify your hearts, you double-minded.

Though we have been redeemed by the Blood of The Lamb, the devil will continue to challenge us in our daily walk.  We must resist him and he will depart our presence as we draw near to Our Heavenly Father.  As we draw near to FATHER, our hearts become pure and we also become one with HIM.  Our minds become our servants as we command our focus to be on FATHER’S Divine Will for our lives.  As we meditate on HIS Word, our hearts and minds are cleansed of any worldliness keeping us from fulfilling our mandate.  We are no longer walking according to the course of the world, but are now alive IN HIM and bringing forth good works on behalf of The Kingdom.
