Miracles, The Differentiation

What differentiates us from the religions of the world?  Our Heavenly Father and Lord Jesus Christ are in the miracle-working business.  In Matthew chapter 28, Jesus spoke:

18 And Jesus came and spoke to them, saying, “All authority has been given to Me in heaven and on earth.

19 Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit,

20 teaching them to observe all things that I have commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age.” Amen.

And in Mark 16:

17 And these signs will follow those who believe: In My name they will cast out demons; they will speak with new tongues;

18 “they will take up serpents; and if they drink anything deadly, it will by no means hurt them; they will lay hands on the sick, and they will recover.”

Jesus committed to be with us always and confirm His Word with miracle-working power.  Miracles draw the multitudes to hear the Gospel for those miracle confirm the Word is truly from Our Heavenly Father.  Men cannot deny miracles resulting from teaching the Gospel and praying for the sick.  James wrote by THE SPIRIT in chapter 4:

7 Therefore submit to God. Resist the devil and he will flee from you.

8 Draw near to God and He will draw near to you. Cleanse your hands, you sinners; and purify your hearts, you double-minded.

For us to flow with FATHER in HIS miracle-working power, we must draw near to HIM and increase our faith by hearing and dwelling on HIS Word.  It must not only be in our head, but in our heart as well.  HIS Word should become our first response in any situation, not a secondary consideration when the natural fails.  How do we draw near to FATHER?  By giving HIM our time and attention.  This is one reason I start the day by studying HIS Word.  I want it to be the foundation of each day before I hear the world’s noise.  Abraham, Moses, and Noah were not encumbered with technology and receiving a multitude of differing views of life as we are today.  They became men of great faith.  As we separate ourselves unto FATHER, HE will draw near to us and as a result, we will come to expect HIS miracle-working power to flow through us.

Our faith must overtake any doubt of FATHER’S willingness to bring forth miracles in our lives and in the ministry toward others.  As our faith increases, we will come to fully expect confirming miracles when ministering to others.  Jesus spent 3 1/2 years preparing disciples by teaching them the Word with confirming miracles.  When He sent the seventy in Luke chapter 10, they came back with success- Then the seventy returned with joy, saying, “Lord, even the demons are subject to us in Your name.”  We are never given details of who they were but we know that the ministry was not limited to the original twelve disciples therefore we should expect similar results.

We are called to live above the natural and no longer be subject to the natural progression of the world’s ways.  FATHER has provided The Way of His Son to lead us into the supernatural.  Let us draw nigh unto HIM and expect HIS power to flow not only to us but through us to minister to a hurting world.  This separates us from man’s religions and philosophies for it provides proof that The Way of Jesus Christ in the only way unto FATHER.
