Being Partakers

My friend Paul who is My beloved brother in Christ, commented on yesterday’s post and mentioned 2 Peter chapter 1:

2 Grace and peace be multiplied to you in the knowledge of God and of Jesus our Lord,

3 as His divine power has given to us all things that pertain to life and godliness, through the knowledge of Him who called us by glory and virtue,

by which have been given to us exceedingly great and precious promises, that through these you may be partakers of the divine nature, having escaped the corruption that is in the world through lust.

FATHER wants us to be partakers of HIS Divine Nature thus HE gave us HIS HOLY SPIRIT to dwell in us to facilitate the manifestation.  As we partake of HIS Divine Nature, we will walk as Jesus walked.  We will be fruitful in Kingdom business and work with HIM to bring forth the Kingdom.  Peter continued by THE SPIRIT:

5 But also for this very reason, giving all diligence, add to your faith virtue, to virtue knowledge,

6 to knowledge self-control, to self-control perseverance, to perseverance godliness,

7 to godliness brotherly kindness, and to brotherly kindness love.

For if these things are yours and abound, you will be neither barren nor unfruitful in the knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ

9 For he who lacks these things is shortsighted, even to blindness, and has forgotten that he was cleansed from his old sins.

As we walk in faith by Love, we will take on the qualities mentioned above and become fruitful in the knowledge of Our Lord Jesus Christ.  Those who are not diligent will be shortsighted and eventually blind to what FATHER expects from us.  Diligence is a key to being a partaker of HIS Divine Nature.

Let us join together in this pursuit as the true Body of Christ.  His Body is made up of those who embrace the reality of being partakers of His Divine Nature and are able to function accordingly.  Jesus made it very clear as our example that we too can walk as He walked.  As He is, so are we!
