Paul wrote by THE SPIRIT in Ephesians chapter 6:
16 above all, taking the shield of faith with which you will be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked one.
It is critical to notice the plural tense of the challenges sent to us by the wicked one. Our faith will be tested often and will definitely be unexpected at times. Our faith must become strong and constant in our life as we will be challenged from every direction. Our goal is to remain constant and steady as these challenges confront us.
Trust in FATHER’S Word is our foundation for our steadfast faith. This is accomplished on a daily basis of fellowshipping in HIS Word. The less we fellowship with HIM, the more we are moved by those fiery darts, it is that simple.
The psalmist wrote by THE SPIRIT concerning rebellious Israel in chapter 78:
37 For their heart was not steadfast with Him,
Nor were they faithful in His covenant.
Let us learn by Israel’s mistakes for we have a better covenant. Let us simply be faithful to that Covenant provided through Jesus Christ so that our heart will remain steadfast as those fiery darts attempt to derail us. After such an attack, we will simply smile knowing that our faith is strong and our day was not ruined by the wicked one.
Let this be an encouragement to you. There are those of us who are being challenged, and there are those of us who will be challenged. Be of good cheer no matter what is thrown at you for FATHER Loves both you and me. Nothing will derail that reality!
