Every Good Work

Paul wrote by THE SPIRIT in 2 Corinthians chapter 9:

. 8 And God is able to make all grace [every favor and earthly blessing] come in abundance to you, so that you may always [under all circumstances, regardless of the need] have complete sufficiency in everything [being completely self-sufficient in Him], and have an abundance for every good work and act of charity.  AMPL

And he further wrote by THE SPIRIT in 2 Timothy chapter 2:

20 But in a great house there are not only vessels of gold and silver, but also of wood and clay, some for honor and some for dishonor.

21 Therefore if anyone cleanses himself from the latter, he will be a vessel for honor, sanctified and useful for the Master, prepared for every good work.

Love and faith acts on The Word and we are to be known by our acts which are good fruit.  If you do nothing, you have no fruit.  Faith acts, Love acts, therefore vessels of honor have corresponding actions known as good works.  We are called to good works and it comes in many forms.  Actions may by physical in nature as well as financial in nature.  When I give money to another in need, it represents the fruit of my past, honorable labor and is deemed to be good fruit when given to someone else out of Agape Love.

As we increase in the knowledge of Our Heavenly Father and have a greater understanding of HIS Divine Intent, we become sanctified and useful to HIM for good works which HE expects of us.  James wrote by THE SPIRIT in chapter 2 concerning the need to have corresponding works:

14 What does it profit, my brethren, if someone says he has faith but does not have works? Can faith save him?

15 If a brother or sister is naked and destitute of daily food,

16 and one of you says to them, “Depart in peace, be warmed and filled,” but you do not give them the things which are needed for the body, what does it profit?

17 Thus also faith by itself, if it does not have works, is dead.

18 But someone will say, “You have faith, and I have works.” Show me your faith without your works, and I will show you my faith by my works.

19 You believe that there is one God. You do well. Even the demons believe—and tremble!

20 But do you want to know, O foolish man, that faith without works is dead?

Giving of ourselves by helping others or, giving of our finances to bless others who are in need, are both indications of good works of faith.  There are many who study the Bible and have no corresponding actions thus they only have self interest at the core of their intent.  Corresponding actions to FATHER’S Word separates vessels of honor from vessels of dishonor.  If is up to each of us to determine what path we are willing to take.  Corresponding actions will often seem inconvenient at the time but the fruit of such actions will be quite rewarding because FATHER sees our willingness to sacrifice self-interest on HIS behalf.  We are urged by James to not be foolish in this area.

21 Was not Abraham our father justified by works when he offered Isaac his son on the altar?

22 Do you see that faith was working together with his works, and by works faith was made perfect?

Let us become perfected by our actions of faith which will be known to all as good works, motivated by Love!
