The Real Versus The Counterfeit

In Matthew chapter 7, Jesus spoke:

21   “Not everyone who says to Me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ will enter the kingdom of heaven, but only he who does the will of My Father who is in heaven.

22   Many will say to Me on that day [when I judge them], ‘Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in Your name, and driven out demons in Your name, and done many miracles in Your name?’

23   And then I will declare to them publicly, ‘I never knew you; depart from Me [you are banished from My presence], you who act wickedly [disregarding My commands].’”

And Jesus spoke in John chapter 15:

9 “As the Father loved Me, I also have loved you; abide in My love.

10 If you keep My commandments, you will abide in My love, just as I have kept My Father’s commandments and abide in His love.

11 These things I have spoken to you, that My joy may remain in you, and that your joy may be full.

12 This is My commandment, that you love one another as I have loved you.”

There has been much written about the meaning of the holidays and the various traditions assigned to them.  It is as though there is virtually nothing we can celebrate that won’t be found later to be among the list of things “not to do or use”.  Why?  Because the emphasis is placed on counterfeits raised up by the enemy in order to dilute the original meaning given by FATHER.  As an example, the number “13” has been assigned as a superstitious negative number but if you look deeper, that number and many of its multiples are numeric values pointing to Our Heavenly Father, so which way will you look at this number henceforth?

To counterfeit means to imitate something authentic, with the intent to steal, destroy, or replace the original, for use in illegal transactions, or otherwise to deceive individuals into believing that the fake is of equal or greater value than the real thing.  Why did Jesus come to us in the first place?  The beloved disciple wrote in 1 John chapter 3:

8 He who sins is of the devil, for the devil has sinned from the beginning. For this purpose the Son of God was manifested, that He might destroy the works of the devil.

There are counterfeit ministries, practices, customs, traditions, and methodologies that try to emulate the ministry of the Son of GOD, but we are to mature into the fullness of Jesus’ ministry, not those counterfeit ministries which yield no true true fruit for the Kingdom.  Isn’t the following also a true statement:  For this purpose the Sons and Daughters of God were manifested, that they might destroy the works of the devil ?

Let us not shy away from the genuine because those who point to the counterfeit are acting as though the counterfeit “way” has some special claim as being the original nature, designation, or intent.  Let us proceed into the full cleansing process with the motivation of Love and without regard of what people would have us believe in order to dissuade us from living our lives to the fullest intent of FATHER.  There is only one path known as “The Way”, all others are simply counterfeit and will produce no true fruit for the Kingdom.
