Fear Of The LORD

When we do not have a reverent Fear of THE LORD, it is because we are lacking.  The Holy Spirit recorded in Psalm 111:

10 The fear of the LORD is the beginning of wisdom;

A good understanding have all those who do His commandments.

His praise endures forever.

We don’t know when we are lukewarm in this area but FATHER will reveal our lukewarm state as we ascend to a higher state of Spiritual maturity just as HE revealed the true state of Isaiah in chapter 6 of yesterday’s blog.  The Holy Spirit recorded in Acts chapter 9:

31 After this, the church all over Judea, Galilee, and Samaria experienced a season of peace. The congregations grew larger and larger, with the believers being empowered and encouraged by the Holy Spirit. They worshiped God in wonder and awe, and walked in the fear of the Lord.

How does the Kingdom come and congregations grow larger?  They were empowered and encouraged by The Holy Spirit. By praying In The Holy Spirit, our empowerment and encouragement will manifest in an increasing manner and we will walk in the reverent Fear of THE LORD as well.  All aspects of “self” will be sifted and removed from our midst and there will no longer be any darkness of blindness and deafness to be found among us.

It is recorded by The Holy Spirit in Acts chapter 5:

1 Now, a man named Ananias and his wife, Sapphira, likewise sold their farm. 2 they conspired to secretly keep back for themselves a portion of the proceeds. So when Ananias brought the money to the apostles, it was only a portion of the entire sale. 3 God revealed their secret to Peter, so he said to him, “Ananias, why did you let Satan fill your heart and make you think you could lie to the Holy Spirit? You only pretended to give it all, yet you hid back part of the proceeds from the sale of your property to keep for yourselves. 4 Before you sold it, wasn’t it yours to sell or to keep? And after you sold it, wasn’t the money entirely at your disposal? How could you plot such a thing in your heart? You haven’t lied to people; you’ve lied to God!”

5 The moment Ananias heard those words, he fell over dead. Everyone was terrified when they heard what had happened. 6 Some young men came in and removed the body and buried him.

7 Three hours later, his wife came into the room, with no clue what had happened to her husband.

8 Peter said to her, “Tell me, were the two of you paid this amount for the sale of your land?”

Sapphira said, “Yes, that’s how much it was.”

9 Peter told her, “Why have you agreed together to test the Spirit of the Lord? I hear the footsteps of those who buried your husband at the door—they’re coming here to bury you too!” 10 At that moment she dropped dead at Peter’s feet.

When the young men came in, she was already dead, so they carried her out and buried her next to her husband. 11 The entire church was seized with a powerful sense of the fear of God, which came over all who heard what had happened.

This is serious.  We need the revelation of THE FEAR OF THE LORD.  Nothing is hidden that won’t be revealed.  We all need correction and The Holy Spirit is to teach us and bring us into all Truth.  We can receive correction the easy way or the hard way, it is our choice.  By the way, in verse 1, the Aramaic can be translated “Ananias, together with his wife, who was famous for her beauty.” The Aramaic name Shapeera means “beauty.”

Your physical qualities do not make invulnerable to the judgments of FATHER.  Some people think that their mental prowess or superior physical qualities give them the right to exalt themselves above others.  Ananias and Sapphira found this out the hard way.  Let us be sensitive to the Truth.  If deemed necessary, FATHER could remove us from this earth in less than a nanosecond (one billionth of a second).

Let us not casually pray in THE SPIRIT but let us reverently enter in with passion for what FATHER wants to show us today.
