Consistently Being Led By THE SPIRIT

Paul wrote by The Holy Spirit in 1 Corinthians chapter 2:

2 My brothers and sisters, when I first came to proclaim to you the secrets of God, I refused to come as an expert, trying to impress you with my eloquent speech and lofty wisdom. 2 For while I was with you I was determined to be consumed with one topic—Jesus, the crucified Messiah. 3 I stood before you feeling inadequate, filled with reverence for God, and trembling under the sense of the importance of my words. 4 The message I preached and how I preached it was not an attempt to sway you with persuasive arguments but to prove to you the almighty power of God’s Holy Spirit. 5 For God intended that your faith not be established on man’s wisdom but by trusting in his almighty power.

We too should be consumed with the one topic of Jesus Christ.  It was by FATHER’S resurrection power that our future is assured.  I have no interest in persuasive arguments to compel you to take the path known as The Way.  Those who seek to be fully led by The Holy Spirit will be drawn to this straight and narrow path.

I have veered off the path at various times in my past because of being deceived by those whom I looked up to but The Holy Spirit graciously set me back on the right path.  Once I realized the fruit in my life had dried up, I repented and reassessed where I went wrong.  I removed myself from those environments which were causing me to walk in error.

6 However, there is a wisdom that we continually speak of when we are among the spiritually mature. It’s wisdom that didn’t originate in this present age, nor did it come from the rulers of this age who are in the process of being dethroned. 7 Instead, we continually speak of this wonderful wisdom that comes from God, hidden before now in a mystery. It is his secret plan, destined before the ages, to bring us into glory. 8 None of the rulers of this present world order understood it, for if they had, they never would have crucified the Lord of shining glory. 9 This is why the Scriptures say:

Things never discovered or heard of before,

things beyond our ability to imagine—

these are the many things God has in store

    for all his lovers.

Men will try to justify their thoughts and actions by reasoning in their minds.  They will build ministries and solicit followers based on their understanding, independent of The Holy Spirit.  The focus will be on their actions rather than Our Lord Jesus Christ.  How do we protect ourselves from their logic and reasoning which sounds good but has not fruit?  We must be led by The Holy Spirit in all matters.  Don’t expect this to occur overnight but only by fully committing to this priority of being led by The Holy Spirit on a daily basis.

10 But God now unveils these profound realities to us by the Spirit. Yes, he has revealed to us his inmost heart and deepest mysteries through the Holy Spirit, who constantly explores all things. 11 After all, who can really see into a person’s heart and know his hidden impulses except for that person’s spirit? So it is with God. His thoughts and secrets are only fully understood by his Spirit, the Spirit of God.

12 For we did not receive the spirit of this world system but the Spirit of God, so that we might come to understand and experience all that grace has lavished upon us. 13 And we articulate these realities with the words imparted to us by the Spirit and not with the words taught by human wisdom. We join together Spirit-revealed truths with Spirit-revealed words.

14 Someone living on an entirely human level rejects the revelations of God’s Spirit, for they make no sense to him. He can’t understand the revelations of the Spirit because they are only discovered by the illumination of the Spirit. 15 Those who live in the Spirit are able to carefully evaluate all things, and they are subject to the scrutiny of no one but God.

Our spirit man has the capacity to hear FATHER and discern every aspect of what we hear from others.  We must not be moved by convincing arguments of man’s reasoning.  The Holy Spirit will instruct us from the standpoint of the pure, absolute Truth which is only found in Heaven.

Should we be critical of those who are speaking out of their soul?  No, we should Love them and pray for their understanding to be enlightened.  However, we must be followers of Christ and not be drawn away by those who exalt anyone else including ourselves.

Paul said emphatically “For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, these are sons of God”.  The Holy Spirit will not be deemphasized by The Sons or Daughters but will have a moment by moment relationship which will keep us on the right path, no matter what man’s logic or reasoning would otherwise suggest.
