Honoring The Covenant

Jesus spoke in Luke chapter 12:

28 “If God can clothe the fields and meadows with grass and flowers, can’t he clothe you as well, O struggling one with so many doubts? 29 I repeat it: Don’t let worry enter your life. Live above the anxious cares about your personal needs. 30 People everywhere seem to worry about making a living, but your heavenly Father knows your every need and will take care of you. 31 Each and every day he will supply your needs as you seek his kingdom passionately, above all else. 32 So don’t ever be afraid, dearest friends! Your loving Father joyously gives you his kingdom realm with all its promises!

33 “So, now, go and sell what you have and give to those in need, making deposits in your account in heaven, an account that will never be taken from you. Your gifts will become a secure and unfailing treasure, deposited in heaven forever. 34 Where you deposit your treasure, that is where your thoughts will turn to—and your heart will long to be there also.

We are rewarded with what we did with what we were given.  As we passionately seek to do FATHER’S Will with our resources, we will lay up treasures in Heaven and open up the windows of Heaven to further bless us in a greater manner.  FATHER will increase our resources consistent with our commitment to HIM and tithe our increase.  Our tithe reaffirms our relative position as the “lesser” as well as acknowledging HIS ownership.

FATHER established the Blood covenant with us when we accepted Jesus Christ as our Lord and Savior.  HE looks at us through Jesus’ Blood on the mercy seat thus our past sins have been expunged from our account and we should no longer look at ourselves as unworthy.  If we do, then we have belittled what Jesus did and we must repent.

FATHER is not reluctant in HIS willingness to dispense resources to us.  HE simply wants us to walk according to HIS ways and not ours.  We are given the choice moment by moment as we walk out our day.  Each time we open our mouth we have the option of producing life or death.  It is written by The Holy Spirit in Proverbs chapter 18:

21 Death and life are in the power of the tongue,

And those who love it will eat its fruit.

Because we are in covenant, we must be careful to treat communion with the greatest respect and honor.  Paul wrote by The Holy Spirit in 1 Corinthians chapter 11:

26 Whenever you eat this bread and drink this cup, you are retelling the story, proclaiming our Lord’s death until he comes. 27 For this reason, whoever eats the bread or drinks the cup of the Lord in the wrong spirit will be guilty of dishonoring the body and blood of the Lord. 28 So let each individual first evaluate his own attitude and only then eat the bread and drink the cup. 29 For continually eating and drinking with a wrong spirit will bring judgment upon yourself by not recognizing the body. 30 This insensitivity is why many of you are weak, chronically ill, and some even dying.

Paul issued a serious warning to those who take communion lightly.  There are many who don’t appreciate “the fear of THE LORD” unless they have been in life-threatening situations.  Take my advice and don’t wait until a situation of this nature arises before you submit to “the fear of THE LORD”.  Don’t haphazardly take communion as though it is a duty or obligation… it is a privilege and honor.

The Blood completely forgives and washes away.

Our covenant with FATHER provides us a backstop when our strength is used up and our weakness is all we have left.  We have reached a point where our own faculties are insufficient to deal with a situation whether it is spiritual, physical, emotional, or financial.  Paul further wrote in 2 Corinthians chapter 12:

10 So I’m not defeated by my weakness, but delighted! For when I feel my weakness and endure mistreatment—when I’m surrounded with troubles on every side and face persecution because of my love for Christ—I am made yet stronger. For my weakness becomes a portal to God’s power.

Those things we are holding on to and withholding from FATHER’S use are worthless in comparison to FATHER’S provision.  Fear, uncertainty, and doubt hold people back from walking in the fullness of the Covenant.

“We must demolish every deceptive fantasy that opposes GOD and break through every arrogant attitude that is raised up in defiance of the true knowledge of HIM. We must capture, like prisoners of war, every thought and insist that it bow in obedience to the Anointed One. “

Once we have the revelation of the power contained in The Covenant with Our Heavenly Father through the Blood of Our Lord Christ Jesus, we will fully embrace our Holiness and the ability to walk in that power granted to us through Christ!  Remember, don’t be afraid. Your loving Father joyously gives you his Kingdom realm with all its promises!
