Holy- Part 2

In Acts chapter 3, Peter spoke by The Holy Spirit to those who just witnessed the lame man healed:

19 Repent therefore and be converted, that your sins may be blotted out, so that times of refreshing may come from the presence of THE LORD

What causes the streaming and refreshing presence of THE LORD to come?  IT comes to those who repent and are converted.  Any time I say or do something fruitless and selfish, I repent.  FATHER tells us that repentance blots our sins which also indicates that we do not need to carry around that guilt for future reference and regret.  We need to let it go because HE has!  This paves the way for us to be Holy, set apart for HIS use.  Repentance prepares the way for a deeper relationship with Jesus Christ and we should be preaching repentance.

Peter also wrote by The Holy Spirit in his 1st epistle, chapter 1:

13 Therefore gird up the loins of your mind, be sober, and rest your hope fully upon the grace that is to be brought to you at the revelation of Jesus Christ; 14 as obedient children, not conforming yourselves to the former lusts, as in your ignorance; 15 but as HE who called you is Holy, you also be Holy in all your conduct, 16 because it is written, “Be Holy, for I AM HOLY.”

If we did not have the capacity to be Holy, The Holy Spirit would not have instructed us to be Holy!!!  If you have a problem with this Truth, cast down that vain imagination for FATHER did not make a mistake when HE formed you in the womb by HIS Divine Intent of Love.  Start walking in Holiness.

It is written by The Holy Spirit in Hebrews chapter 12:

14 In every relationship be swift to choose peace over competition, and run swiftly toward Holiness, for those who are not Holy will not see THE LORD. 15 Watch over each other to make sure that no one misses the revelation of God’s grace. And make sure no one lives with a root of bitterness sprouting within them which will only cause trouble and poison the hearts of many.

Is there not one believer who does not want a face-to-face encounter with THE LORD?  We are urged to pursue Holiness far beyond a casual means.  To run swiftly means to place a high priority on attaining Holiness.

A root of bitterness will impede our pursuit of Holiness.  We must pull those roots out of our innermost beings to insure we are not hindered in attaining Holiness.  We should be preaching Holiness to others as well.

Holiness will move us toward intimacy with Our Lord Jesus Christ.  Peter wrote by The Holy Spirit in his 2nd epistle chapter 3:

14 So, my beloved friends, with all that you have to look forward to, may you be eager to be found living pure lives when you come into His Presence, without blemish and filled with peace. 15 And keep in mind that our Lord’s extraordinary patience simply means more opportunity for salvation, just as our dear brother Paul wrote to you with the wisdom that God gave him. 16 He consistently speaks of these things in all of his letters, even though he writes some concepts that are overwhelming to our understanding, which the unlearned and unstable love to twist to their spiritual ruin, as they do to other Scriptures.

As Jesus said in the Beatitudes, “Those with a pure heart shall see GOD.”  Let each of us live a pure life in peace without blemish.  If it were not possible, The Holy Spirit would not urge us to live this way.  We are meant to be Holy, set apart for HIS use.  Our resources are included as well.  This is why my wife and I pray over our tithes and offerings for they are meant to be HOLY UNTO THE LORD.  FATHER appreciates our intent and rewards us accordingly.

I give FATHER the firstfruits of each day in prayer as a HOLY offering as well.  I have no ulterior motive but to “run swiftly” to Holiness in all that I set my hand to.  The Holy Spirit gives me these writings and I am grateful to be the first recipient of what is on His Mind each morning for I have no agenda of my own.  These writings are meant to bring us into intimacy with Our Lord.  We should be preaching intimacy through prayer.  Now is not the time to be silent.
