Our Obedience

Our Love of GOD is as much our obedience as it is feeling.  Jesus spoke in John chapter 14:

23 Jesus replied, “Loving Me empowers you to obey My Word. And My FATHER will love you so deeply that we will come to you and make you our dwelling place. 24 But those who don’t Love Me will not obey My Words. The FATHER did not send Me to speak My own revelation, but the words of My Father. 25 I am telling you this while I am still with you. 26 But when the FATHER sends the Spirit of Holiness, the One like Me who sets you free, He will teach you all things in My Name. And He will inspire you to remember every word that I’ve told you.”

The above Words of Jesus provide the contrast between true Sons and the rest of those who claim to be believers.  We either obey the Absolute Truth or we don’t.  Many ministries today have watered down the message of the true Gospel because they are afraid of losing their influence and financial support.  They preach whatever tickles the ears of their audience but without true power and authority from up Above.

I can’t afford to water down the Truth so that the audience will grow and support our efforts.  We don’t need a watered down truth in today’s environment.  We need to walk in the power and authority as Jesus did.  He did not focus on the political issues of the day even though His disciples wanted Him to overthrow Rome.  He directed His efforts to spreading the Gospel by only speaking FATHER’S Words and confirming those Words with signs and wonders.  His ministry was and is to change men’s hearts.  Ours should be the same.

Jesus further spoke:

27 “I leave the gift of peace with you—my peace. Not the kind of fragile peace given by the world, but my perfect peace. Don’t yield to fear or be troubled in your hearts—instead, be courageous!”

The world is attempting to manipulate the masses with fear.  Their solutions will  bring “fragile” peace and this specifically promotes a mindset of survival.  Those of us who are embracing and walking according to The Holy Spirit are only interested in thriving rather than just barely surviving.  Our minds are being transformed daily by listening to The Holy Spirit.  The very first thing that comes out of my mouth every morning is “Good morning FATHER, good morning Lord Jesus, good morning Holy Spirit!”  This establishes my mindset and prepares me to hear what The Holy Spirit is saying today.

Paul received the baptism of The Holy Spirit which empowered him to write two-thirds of the New Testament as directed by The Holy Spirit.  He declared to the reader that he spoke in Tongues “more than you all”.  The Holy Spirit instructed him to write in Romans chapter 8:

1 So now the case is closed. There remains no accusing voice of condemnation against those who are joined in life-union with Jesus, the Anointed One. 2 For the “law” of the Spirit of life flowing through the anointing of Jesus has liberated us from the “law” of sin and death.

Those of us who purpose to live according to the direction of The Holy Spirit in unity with Jesus and FATHER will result in our mindset and motivations  being corrected.  Paul further disclosed:

5 Those who are motivated by the flesh only pursue what benefits themselves. But those who live by the impulses of the Holy Spirit are motivated to pursue Spiritual realities. 6 For the mind-set of the flesh is death, but the mind-set controlled by the Spirit finds life and peace.

We must make course corrections every day as we are confronted by the world’s environment enticing us to stray from that straight and narrow path.  As our mindset comes into full alignment and remains there, less correction is necessary.  Our obedience becomes unwavering which results in our full expression of Agape Love.
