What We Have Been Given

Consider the following list FATHER has intended for each one of us, without exception.  Paul spoke by The Holy Spirit in Colossians chapter 1:

9 So we have not stopped praying for you since we first heard about you. We ask God to give you

complete knowledge of His will

and to give you Spiritual wisdom and understanding.

10 Then the way you live will always honor and please the Lord, and your lives will produce every kind of good fruit.

All the while, you will grow as you learn to know God better and better.

11 We also pray that you will be strengthened with all his glorious power so you will have all the endurance and patience you need.

May you be filled with joy,

12 always thanking the Father. He has enabled you to share in the inheritance that belongs to his people, who live in the light.

13 For He has rescued us from the kingdom of darkness and transferred us into the Kingdom of His dear Son,

14 who purchased our freedom and forgave our sins.

This list is emphasized by Paul in Ephesians 1 as he wrote by The Holy Spirit:

15 Ever since I first heard of your strong faith in the Lord Jesus and your love for God’s people everywhere, 16 I have not stopped thanking God for you. I pray for you constantly, 17 asking God, the glorious Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, to give you Spiritual Wisdom and insight so that you might grow in your knowledge of God.

18 I pray that your hearts will be flooded with light so that you can understand the confident hope He has given to those He called—His holy people who are his rich and glorious inheritance.

19 I also pray that you will understand the incredible greatness of God’s power for us who believe him. This is the same mighty power 20 that raised Christ from the dead and seated Him in the place of honor at God’s right hand in the heavenly realms.

21 Now He is far above any ruler or authority or power or leader or anything else—not only in this world but also in the world to come. 22 God has put all things under the authority of Christ and has made Him head over all things for the benefit of the church. 23 And the church is his body; it is made full and complete by Christ, who fills all things everywhere with Himself.

In Hebrews 13:

20 Now may the God of peace—

who brought up from the dead our Lord Jesus,

the great Shepherd of the sheep,

and ratified an eternal covenant with His blood—

21 may He equip you with all you need

for doing his will.

May He produce in you,

through the power of Jesus Christ,

every good thing that is pleasing to Him.

All glory to Him forever and ever! Amen.

FATHER is the ultimate Giver.  He not only wants to meet our needs but also wants to fulfill our desires.  HE wants an intimate relationship with each of us which is why HE placed us here in the first place.  We are made in HIS image and He desires fellowship on a moment by moment basis.

It is our choice of how close we want to be to FATHER.  As for me, the closer, the better.  As I pray in The Holy Spirit, I promote closeness since I desire to communicate in HIS intimate language without hindrance from the soul.  I am fully convinced that praying in The Holy Spirit promotes maturity in Agape Love because I tap into specific mysteries which are otherwise inaccessible.

Praying in The Holy Spirit not only builds up our faith, it build up Agape Love in us.
