Moving Into Unity

Luke recorded by The Holy Spirit in Acts chapter 2:

2 And when the day of Pentecost had fully come, they were all assembled together in one place,

2 When suddenly there came a sound from Heaven like the rushing of a violent tempest blast, and it filled the whole house in which they were sitting.

3 And there appeared to them tongues resembling fire, which were separated and distributed and which settled on each one of them.

4 And they were all filled (diffused throughout their souls) with the Holy Spirit and began to speak in other (different, foreign) languages (tongues), as the Spirit kept giving them clear and loud expression [in each tongue in appropriate words].

5 Now there were then residing in Jerusalem Jews, devout and God-fearing men from every country under heaven.

6 And when this sound was heard, the multitude came together and they were astonished and bewildered, because each one heard them [the apostles] speaking in his own [particular] dialect.

7 And they were beside themselves with amazement, saying, Are not all these who are talking Galileans?

8 Then how is it that we hear, each of us, in our own (particular) dialect to which we were born?  AMPL

The first manifestation of The Holy Spirit was unity among the 120.  The fire shows us they were ignited and fire is meant to bring forth complete purification thus making us without spot or wrinkle.  Being fully led by The Holy Spirit brings us into purity and removes all the dross we accumulated in the past.  We rescind and nullify any past agreements with the adversary as The Holy Spirit reveals those errors to us.  This is why we can declare “the case is closed” to our past life thus we are truly new creations in Christ!

In John chapter 20, Jesus spoke:

19 That evening, the disciples gathered together. And because they were afraid of reprisals from the Jewish leaders, they had locked the doors to the place where they met. But suddenly Jesus appeared among them and said, “Peace to you!” 20 Then He showed them the wounds of his hands and his side—they were overjoyed to see the Lord with their own eyes!

21 Jesus repeated his greeting, “Peace to you!” And he told them, “Just as the Father has sent Me, I’m now sending you.” 22 Then, taking a deep breath, He blew on them and said, “Receive the Holy Spirit. 23 I send you to preach the forgiveness of sins—and people’s sins will be forgiven. But if you don’t proclaim the forgiveness of their sins, they will remain guilty.”

Jesus was preparing the disciples to receive The Holy Spirit which was inside Him.  He commanded them to “Receive the Holy Spirit.”  What was the purpose?  It was and is to preach the forgiveness of sins, the Gospel.  This event occurred during the forty days of Jesus teaching them about The Kingdom.  Receiving The Holy Spirit was central to this forty day teaching session.

What does it mean to pray in THE SPIRIT where miracles happen?  It means that you are not able to do anything without GOD WHO resides in you as the manifestation of The Holy Spirit.

The Holy Spirit reveals the Heart of GOD and as we pray in THE SPIRIT, we receive revelation contained in HIS Heart applicable to us.  Paul explained this as he wrote by THE SPIRIT in 1st Corinthians chapter 2:

6 However, there is a Wisdom that we continually speak of when we are among the spiritually mature. It’s Wisdom that didn’t originate in this present age, nor did it come from the rulers of this age who are in the process of being dethroned. 7 Instead, we continually speak of this wonderful Wisdom that comes from God, hidden before now in a mystery. It is HIS secret plan, destined before the ages, to bring us into glory. 8 None of the rulers of this present world order understood it, for if they had, they never would have crucified the Lord of shining glory. 9 This is why the Scriptures say:

Things never discovered or heard of before,

things beyond our ability to imagine—

these are the many things God has in store

    for all HIS lovers.

10 But God now unveils these profound realities to us by The Spirit. Yes, HE has revealed to us HIS inmost Heart and deepest mysteries through the Holy Spirit, who constantly explores all things. 11 After all, who can really see into a person’s heart and know his hidden impulses except for that person’s spirit? So it is with God. HIS thoughts and secrets are only fully understood by his Spirit, the Spirit of God.

Paul proclaimed that he spoke in Tongues more than you all.  In the above passage, he had fully embraced the revelation revealed to him AND implemented it in his life.  He was empowered to record the revelations given to him and distributed to us in the form of the Epistles which comprise 2/3 of the New Testament.  His Source was and is The Holy Spirit WHO reveals FATHER’S Heart and deepest mysteries toward us who have decided to be led by The Holy Spirit in all things.

12 For we did not receive the spirit of this world system but the Spirit of God, so that we might come to understand and experience all that grace has lavished upon us. 13 And we articulate these realities with the Words imparted to us by the Spirit and not with the words taught by human wisdom. We join together Spirit-revealed Truths with Spirit-revealed Words. 14 Someone living on an entirely human level rejects the Revelations of God’s Spirit, for they make no sense to him. He can’t understand the Revelations of the Spirit because they are only discovered by the illumination of the Spirit. 15 Those who live in the Spirit are able to carefully evaluate all things, and they are subject to the scrutiny of no one but God. 16 For

Who has ever intimately known the Mind of the Lord Yahweh well enough to become HIS counselor?

Christ has, and we possess Christ’s perceptions.

We believers possess the Holy Spirit, who reveals the thoughts and purposes of Christ. The revelation of the kingdom of God that Jesus preached was not understood by the intellect of men but by those who welcomed His Truth. Humanly speaking, no one can understand the mysteries of God without the Holy Spirit. Those who have the Holy Spirit now possess the perceptions of Christ’s mind (the Mind of Christ) and can implement His purposes on the earth.

The unwise virgins, the goats, and the tares are disqualified from receiving these revelations for they make no sense to them.  The wise virgins had realized the value of being led by The Holy Spirit and knew this could not be transferred to those who had failed to grasp the importance of this means of receiving what The Holy Spirit had to offer them, thus they were disqualified.
