Luke recorded by The Holy Spirit in Acts chapter 10:
44 While Peter was speaking, the Holy Spirit cascaded over all those listening to his message. 45 The Jewish brothers who had accompanied Peter were astounded that the gift of the Holy Spirit was poured out on people who weren’t Jews, 46 for they heard them speaking in supernaturally given languages and passionately praising God (extolling and magnifying GOD).
47 Peter said, “How could anyone object to these people being baptized? For they have received the Holy Spirit just as we have.” 48 So he instructed them to be baptized in the power of the Name of Jesus, the Anointed One.
After their baptism, they asked Peter to stay with them for a few more days
Another manifestation of receiving and speaking in Tongues given to us by The Holy Spirit is we passionately magnify GOD.
Speaking in Tongues worships GOD in a most reverent fashion for we have submitted ourselves to HIS Spirit. This form of worship takes the “I” out of worshipping FATHER and focuses all the attention on HIM. If you consider the lyrics of many “worship” songs of the past, they have too much attention focused on us rather than exalting FATHER… I this and I that. Speaking in Tongues exalts FATHER through HIS Holy Spirit and produces a purity of worship when we realize this benefit!
Paul wrote by The Holy Spirit in Romans chapter 8:
26 And in a similar way, the Holy Spirit takes hold of us in our human frailty to empower us in our weakness. For example, at times we don’t even know how to pray, or know the best things to ask for. But the Holy Spirit rises up within us to super-intercede on our behalf, pleading to God with emotional sighs too deep for words.
27 God, the searcher of the heart, knows fully our longings, yet HE also understands the desires of the Spirit, because the Holy Spirit passionately pleads before God for us, HIS Holy ones, in perfect harmony with God’s plan and our destiny.
28 So we are convinced that every detail of our lives is continually woven together to fit into God’s perfect plan of bringing good into our lives, for we are HIS Lovers who have been called to fulfill HIS designed purpose.
Another manifestation of The Holy Spirit is to empower us to completely fulfill our designed purpose (aka Divine Destiny).
We will pray out the Will of GOD and those Words from HIS Inmost Heart when spoken forth, produce seed in our hearts for the purpose of manifesting good fruit in our lives.
In Jude, it is written by The Holy Spirit:
20 But you, my delightfully Loved friends, constantly and progressively build yourselves up on the foundation of your most holy faith by praying every moment in the Holy Spirit (praying in Tongues).
Another manifestation of The Holy Spirit is to build up our most Holy faith.
This is pure undefiled faith. Faith from GOD is a gift from Heaven and it is not tainted by man’s understanding or bias. When we are praying out the mysteries and the Truth from Heaven, our faith is built up. As a result, our faith is undefiled and we will develop great and fully matured faith as we continue to pray in The Holy Spirit.
Now you know why there is such resistance to speaking in Tongues by those who are yielding to the adversary. The adversary knows what empowerment comes to the believer when he or she is baptized in The Holy Spirit and understands the various manifestations and associated benefits that this baptism brings.
