Heaven’s Perspective

We need to see things from a Divine perspective.  This will occur as we renew our mind.  A renewed mind is essential for continued victory in our lives.

Paul wrote by The Holy Spirit in Romans chapter 12:

2 Stop imitating the ideals and opinions of the culture around you, but be inwardly transformed by the Holy Spirit through a total reformation of how you think. This will empower you to discern God’s will as you live a beautiful life, satisfying and perfect in His eyes.

The Holy Spirit plays a crucial part in the renewing of the mind.  As I pray in The Holy Spirit, I promote the transformation of my mind and thus my priorities change to the Heavenly perspective.  The trappings of the world are no longer a distraction nor of any interest.

As our mindsets change, we will become more aware of angelic activity around us.  Our angels are not sitting dormant in Heaven for they are ministering spirits given to us while we are here on earth.  Jacob came to this reality at Bethel.  It is written by THE SPIRIT in Genesis chapter 28:

10 Now Jacob went out from Beersheba and went toward Haran. 11 So he came to a certain place and stayed there all night, because the sun had set. And he took one of the stones of that place and put it at his head, and he lay down in that place to sleep. 12 Then he dreamed, and behold, a ladder was set up on the earth, and its top reached to heaven; and there the angels of God were ascending and descending on it.

13 And behold, the LORD stood above it and said: “I am the LORD God of Abraham your father and the God of Isaac; the land on which you lie I will give to you and your descendants. 14 Also your descendants shall be as the dust of the earth; you shall spread abroad to the west and the east, to the north and the south; and in you and in your seed all the families of the earth shall be blessed. 15 Behold, I am with you and will keep you wherever you go, and will bring you back to this land; for I will not leave you until I have done what I have spoken to you.”

Jacob was the 3rd generation of Abraham yet he didn’t know about this Sacred place?  Both Abraham and Isaac had failed to teach Jacob about their relationship with FATHER or else he paid no attention to them.

16 Then Jacob awoke from his sleep and said, “Surely the LORD is in this place, and I did not know it.” 17 And he was afraid and said, “How awesome is this place! This is none other than the house of God, and this is the gate of Heaven!”

18 Then Jacob rose early in the morning, and took the stone that he had put at his head, set it up as a pillar, and poured oil on top of it. 19 And he called the name of that place Bethel; but the name of that city had been Luz previously.

When FATHER shows up, so does our mindset.  Jacob changed the name of the place from Luz (meaning almond tree; ability to see) to Bethel (House or dwelling place of GOD; experiencing GOD).  It is one thing to see yet another to experience.  A “portal” opened up from Heaven and the angels accessed this portal into the physical realm.

20 Then Jacob made a vow, saying, “If God will be with me, and keep me in this way that I am going, and give me bread to eat and clothing to put on, 21 so that I come back to my father’s house in peace, then the LORD shall be my God. 22 And this stone which I have set as a pillar shall be God’s house, and of all that You give me I will surely give a tenth to You.”

I am convinced that this particular stone came from the altar that Abraham built in Genesis chapter 12.

When Jacob had his encounter with THE LORD, his mindset changed and he immediately received and embraced the revelation of the tithe.  Abraham received the revelation of the tithe when he encountered Jesus in Genesis chapter 14:

18 Then Melchizedek king of Salem brought out bread and wine; He was the priest of God Most High. 19 And He blessed him and said:

“Blessed be Abram of God Most High,

Possessor of heaven and earth;

20 And blessed be God Most High,

Who has delivered your enemies into your hand.”

And he gave him a tithe of all.

Even though Abraham had these critical encounters with GOD, he and Isaac did not sufficiently train up Jacob concerning these supernatural events.  However, FATHER made sure that HIS covenant with Abraham would survive the lack of training or lack of attention by Jacob.  If the tithe was not so important, it would not be included and emphasized in these encounters.  The tithe precedes anticipated blessings in both accounts as their mindsets were changed by the revelations they received from FATHER.  When you start seeing from Heaven’s perspective, you respond according to Heaven’s priorities for your life.
