The Integrity Of The Word: Part 7

The miracle power of GOD is voice-activated.  FATHER established this Law in Genesis chapter 1 when HE spoke the universe into existence.

It is written by The Holy Spirit in Psalm chapter 91:

2   This I declare about the LORD: He alone is my refuge, my place of safety; He is my God, and I trust Him.

We must say, declare, express our intent.

Jesus spoke in Mark chapter 11:

12 The next day, as He left Bethany, Jesus was feeling hungry. 13 He noticed a leafy fig tree in the distance, so He walked over to see if there was any fruit on it, but there was none—only leaves (for it wasn’t yet the season for bearing figs). 14 Jesus spoke to the fig tree, saying, “No one will ever eat fruit from you again!” And the disciples overheard him.

Figs and leaves are produced at the same time in the fig trees native to Israel.  This tree was not productive in the area of fruit even though it was originally designed to produce both.  Who designed the fig tree?  Jesus did in His pre-incarnate state so He knew the fig tree was unproductive.  In response, He cursed that particular fig tree and it immediately responded to His Words.  Notice that He spoke directly to it… and it heard Him.

We must first speak and believe, then we receive.  This is a Spiritual Truth!

Matthew also wrote by The Holy Spirit in chapter 21 concerning this fig tree:

19 Jesus noticed a lone fig tree by the side of the path and walked over to see if there was any fruit on it, but there was none—He found only leaves. So He spoke to the fig tree and said, “You will be barren and will never bear fruit again!” Instantly the fig tree shriveled up right in front of their eyes!

20 Astonished, his disciples asked, “How did You make this fig tree instantly wither and die?”

21 Jesus replied, “Listen to the Truth. If you do not doubt God’s power and speak out of faith’s fullness, you can also speak to a tree and it will wither away. Even more than that, you could say to this mountain, ‘Be lifted up and be thrown into the sea’ and it will be done. 22 Everything you pray for with the fullness of faith you will receive!

What a powerful Truth in action.  This Truth is meant for us to walk in as well as we mature into the fullness of faith.  This Truth was revealed by FATHER through Jesus so that we would come to expect it to operate in our lives as well.

In Mark chapter 11, Jesus and the disciples came by the next day and saw the results of Jesus’ Words:

20 In the morning, they passed by the fig tree that Jesus spoke to and it was completely withered from the roots up. 21 Peter remembered and said to him, “Teacher, look! That’s the fig tree you cursed. It’s now all shriveled up and dead.”

When did the fig tree die?  Immediately.  However, it took time for the disciples to observe the fullness of the Word even though the roots died immediately.  We must not be moved be any time lapse between our faith-filled words and the observable effects.  Don’t let time delay create doubt and unbelief.  Are you ready to stand on the integrity of your word?

This is why it is important for us to watch over our words.  If you speak contrary to what you truly believe, you are diluting the power of your words, even if you are joking around or being silly in an attempt to be humorous.

Jesus made a point that reality is more than what you can see, hear, touch, taste, or smell.  The Spiritual always supersedes the physical and we should become accustom to walking in the Spiritual, especially watching over our words.

The carnal mind relies on the five physical senses to guide its decisions.  The spiritual man relies on The Holy Spirit and The Word which lives in his heart.  As we embrace the Integrity of FATHER’S Word and allow It to operate in us and through us, we will be fruitful, some thirty, some sixty, and some one hundredfold.
