Be Tenacious

It is vital for us to contend for the faith and be tenacious.

We must become unwilling to accept defeat, or stop doing or having something which has been given to us by FATHER, we must be tenacious in our expectation of faith’s manifestation in our lives.

How long must we personally endure sickness and/or disease?

Luke recorded by The Holy Spirit in chapter 8:

40When Jesus returned to Galilee, the crowds were overjoyed, for they had been waiting for Him to arrive. 41-42Just then, a man named Jairus, the leader of the local Jewish congregation, fell before Jesus’ feet. He desperately begged him to come and heal his twelve-year-old daughter, his only child, because she was at the point of death.

As Jesus started to go with Him to his home to see her, a large crowd surrounded him.

43In the crowd that day was a woman who had suffered greatly for twelve years from slow bleeding. Even though she had spent all that she had on healers, she was still suffering.

44 Pressing in through the crowd, she came up behind Jesus and touched the fringe of His garment. Instantly her bleeding stopped and she was healed.

This woman was sick and tired of being sick and tired!  Must anyone endure sickness for twelve years?  The Jewish Law demanded that she stay away from crowds and notify people of her unclean condition (Leviticus 15:9).  The Jewish statutes would not keep this tenacious woman from obtaining her healing once and for all.

45Jesus suddenly stopped and said to his disciples, “Someone touched me. Who was it?”

While they all denied it, Peter pointed out, “Master, everyone is touching you, trying to get close to you. The crowds are so thick we can’t walk through all these people without being jostled.”

46Jesus replied, “Yes, but I felt power surge through me. Someone touched me to be healed, and they received their healing.”

Whose faith healed her?  Jesus was not even aware of her when she received her healing.  He did not initiate any interaction with her.  We must grasp this Truth that the healing came as a result of her faith IN HIS HEALING POWER!  No one laid hands on her.  No one prayed over her.  It was her faith that healed her for she had heard The Word and responded to It by faith.

47When the woman realized she couldn’t hide any longer, she came and fell trembling at Jesus’ feet. Before the entire crowd she declared, “I was desperate to touch you, Jesus, for I knew if I could just touch even the fringe of your garment I would be healed.”

48Jesus responded, “Beloved daughter, your faith in me released your healing. You may go with my peace.”

This declaration must be grasped, accepted, declared, and expected by each of us… no if’s, and’s, or but’s!  We should all have the same expectation as well and no longer accept anything less but full and complete healing.  FATHER sent HIS Son to express HIS Love in all areas, especially in the area of health and restoration.  Let us no longer accept chronic disease in our life.  We too must be tenacious and not be denied!

Meanwhile, Jairus was probably irritated at the delay and rising up in fear as though Jesus had a time limitation in ministering to his daughter.  Not so!

49While Jesus was still speaking to the woman, someone came from Jairus’ house and told him, “There’s no need to bother the Master any further. Your daughter has passed away. She’s gone.”

50When Jesus heard this, He turned to Jairus and said, “Don’t yield to your fear. Have faith in me and she will live again.”

We are to fear not but instead be at peace.  The power from Above is just as effective at resurrection as It is in the area of healing.

51When they arrived at the house, Jesus allowed only Peter, John, and Jacob—along with the child’s parents—to go inside. 52Jesus told those left outside, who were sobbing and wailing with grief, “Stop crying. She is not dead; she’s just asleep and must be awakened.”

53They laughed at Him, knowing for certain that she had died.

54Jesus approached the body, took the girl by her hand, and called out with a loud voice, “My sleeping child, awake! Rise up!”

55-56 Instantly her spirit returned to her body and she stood up.

Jesus directed her stunned parents to give her something to eat and ordered them to tell no one what just happened.

Jesus spoke in John chapter 10:

10A thief has only one thing in mind—he wants to steal, slaughter, and destroy. But I have come to give you everything in abundance, TPT

In other Words, “The thief does not come except to steal, and to kill, and to destroy. I have come that they may have life, and that they may have it more abundantly.” NKJV

Nothing is holding us back except “us”!  With a foundation of Love, focus on hearing The Word, renew your mind, and grow your faith.  Now is the time.

As a note, we are creating/testing an “App”(for the phone, PC, or tablet) to help you focus and renew your mind throughout the day. We are internally funding it above and beyond our commitment to help the Kids In Need.
