The only power the adversary has is that resulting from deception.
How do you tempt a person who is perfect and without sin? How do you tempt someone who has everything and has no understanding of death?
You convince the person that he or she is missing something and tell the person that there is more than what is currently possessed. You move the person toward a mindset of scarcity and lack. It is the beginning of craving.
It is written by THE SPIRIT in Genesis chapter 3:
1 Now the serpent was more cunning than any beast of the field which the LORD God had made. And he said to the woman, “Has God indeed said, ‘You shall not eat of every tree of the garden’?”
The first thing the serpent did was to challenge FATHER’S Word which originates out of HIS Love for Adam and Eve.
2 And the woman said to the serpent, “We may eat the fruit of the trees of the garden; 3 but of the fruit of the tree which is in the midst of the garden, God has said, ‘You shall not eat it, nor shall you touch it, lest you die.’ ”
4 Then the serpent said to the woman, “You will not surely die.
5 For God knows that in the day you eat of it your eyes will be opened, and you will be like God, knowing good and evil.”
Eve had been walking with GOD and she could have easily posed the question to HIM yet she chose to listen to the deceiver.
6 So when the woman saw that the tree was good for food, that it was pleasant to the eyes, and a tree desirable to make one wise, she took of its fruit and ate. She also gave to her husband with her, and he ate. 7 Then the eyes of both of them were opened, and they knew that they were naked; and they sewed fig leaves together and made themselves coverings.
The pure of heart are designed to believe all things and that is why we must protect children from unrighteousness especially in their formative years from birth to seven.
The devil’s goal is to hinder what has already been done in the spiritual and keep man from bringing it into the physical realm. He uses deception to get people to promote his agenda here on earth rather than implementing FATHER’S Divine Intent for their life.
Paul wrote by The Holy Spirit in 2nd Corinthians chapter 2:
9 You see, I wrote previously in order to see if your hearts would pass the test and if you were willing to follow my counsel in everything.
10 If you freely forgive anyone for anything, then I also forgive him. And if I have forgiven anything, I did so for you before the face of Christ,
11 so that we would not be ignorant and exploited by the adversary, Satan, for we know his clever schemes.
What are clever schemes? They are deceptions to steer us away from the Truth. The greatest deception is to move us away from Agape Love and Its revelation.
Paul wrote by The Holy Spirit in Ephesians 6:
10 Now my beloved ones, I have saved these most important Truths for last: Be supernaturally infused with strength through your life-union with the Lord Jesus. Stand victorious with the force of his explosive power flowing in and through you.
11 Put on God’s complete set of armor provided for us, so that you will be protected as you fight against the evil strategies of the accuser!
The whole armor is already provided to us so we don’t have to pray for it, we must access what is already ours. Paul clearly details this Truth in Ephesians chapter 6:
12 Your hand-to-hand combat is not with human beings, but with the highest principalities and authorities operating in rebellion under the heavenly realms. For they are a powerful class of demon-gods and evil spirits that hold this dark world in bondage. 13 Because of this, you must wear all the armor that God provides so you’re protected as you confront the slanderer, for you are destined for all things and will rise victorious.
14 Put on Truth as a belt to strengthen you to stand in triumph. Put on Holiness as the protective armor that covers your heart.
15 Stand on your feet alert, then you’ll always be ready to share the blessings of peace. 16 In every battle, take faith as your wrap-around shield, for it is able to extinguish the blazing arrows coming at you from the evil one!
17 Embrace the power of salvation’s full deliverance, like a helmet to protect your thoughts from lies. And take the mighty razor-sharp Spirit-sword of the spoken Word of God.
Yes, we are to confront the adversary and his minions in spiritual warfare. We are destined for victory thus we are not to be intimidated by their deceptions for we stand on Truth. FATHER has provided us the necessary tools for victory and it is vital that we access those tools on a daily basis.
