Our Minds: Part 23

Who are what are you magnifying in your life?

Jesus spoke in Matthew chapter 7:

2   For you’ll be judged by the same standard that you’ve used to judge others. The measurement you use on them will be used on you.

3 Why would you focus on the flaw in someone else’s life and yet fail to notice the glaring flaws of your own?

4 How could you say to your friend, ‘Let me show you where you’re wrong,’ when you’re guilty of even more?

5 You’re being hypercritical and a hypocrite! First acknowledge your own ‘blind spots’ and deal with them, and then you’ll be capable of dealing with the ‘blind spot’ of your friend.

6 “Who would hang earrings on a dog’s ear or throw pearls in front of wild pigs? They’ll only trample them under their feet and then turn around and tear you to pieces!

Your mind-set determines your focus and who or what you are magnifying (glorifying).  If you share a notable spiritual event with someone who does not glorify GOD, they will not appreciate what FATHER has done in your life.  Moreover, they might even ridicule and/or belittle you.  Pearls are precious and swine have no appreciation for their value.  It is better to keep your mouth shut than to share a blessing from FATHER with those who are blinded to HIS goodness.  Their mind-set is full of darkness.

It is written by The Holy Spirit in Psalm 103:

1 With my whole heart, with my whole life, and with my innermost being, I bow in wonder and Love before you, the Holy God!

2  Yahweh, you are my soul’s celebration. How could I ever forget the miracles of kindness You’ve done for me?

3 You kissed my heart with forgiveness, in spite of all I’ve done. You’ve healed me inside and out from every disease.

4 You’ve rescued me from hell and saved my life. You’ve crowned me with Love and mercy.

5 You satisfy my every desire with good things. You’ve supercharged my life so that I soar again like a flying eagle in the sky!

6 You’re a God who makes things right, giving justice to the defenseless.

When you glorify GOD, your personal issues and challenges become smaller, even to the point of becoming a non-issue.  When you focus on or magnify your problems, FATHER become smaller in your life.  It is not the fact the HE is small; this perspective only occurs in your mind-set.

Paul wrote by The Holy Spirit in 2nd  Corinthians 4:

15   Yes, all things work for your enrichment so that more of God’s marvelous grace will spread to more and more people, resulting in an even greater increase of praise to God, bringing Him even more glory!

16 So no wonder we don’t give up. For even though our outer person gradually wears out, our inner being is renewed every single day.

17 We view our slight, short-lived troubles in the light of eternity. We see our difficulties as the substance that produces for us an eternal, weighty glory far beyond all comparison,

18 because we don’t focus our attention on what is seen but on what is unseen. For what is seen is temporary, but the unseen realm is eternal.

The word glorify means magnify, value, esteem, prize.  What are you glorifying?  Your answer will describe the current condition of your mind-set.
