You say you want to be in unity, just how trustworthy are you?
It is written by The Holy Spirit in Malachi chapter 3:
8 “Will a man rob God? Yet you have robbed Me! But you say, ‘In what way have we robbed You?’ In tithes and offerings.
9 You are cursed with a curse, For you have robbed Me, Even this whole nation. 10 Bring all the tithes into the storehouse, That there may be food in My house, And try Me now in this,” Says the LORD of hosts, “If I will not open for you the windows of heaven And pour out for you such blessing That there will not be room enough to receive it.
11 “And I will rebuke the devourer for your sakes, So that he will not destroy the fruit of your ground, Nor shall the vine fail to bear fruit for you in the field,” Says the LORD of hosts;
12 “And all nations will call you blessed, For you will be a delightful land,” Says the LORD of hosts. NKJV
The tithe was instituted before The Law thus it is not part of the Old Covenant. As I have written in the past, the tithe was established before the fall of man. It establishes WHO is GOD versus who is man (the image of GOD). Adam and Eve were given instructions concerning the tree, yet they became untrustworthy in adhering to The Word of GOD.
It is written given by Divine revelation of The Holy Spirit in Genesis chapter 20:
18 Then Melchizedek king of Salem brought out bread and wine; he was the priest of God Most High.
19 And he blessed him and said: “Blessed be Abram of God Most High, Possessor of Heaven and earth;
20 And blessed be God Most High, Who has delivered your enemies into your hand.” And he gave him a tithe of all. NKJV
FATHER was able to trust Abram who as a result, became Abraham.
What will happen when each of us who have become mature Sons and Daughters, flow freely in all the gifts of The Holy Spirit, especially in the areas of healing and restoration? Men and women of means will want to bless you financially. Will you be able to handle financial blessings and still be found trustworthy?
Jesus spoke in Luke chapter 6:
38 “Give generously and generous gifts will be given back to you, shaken down to make room for more. Abundant gifts will pour out upon you with such an overflowing measure that it will run over the top! Your measurement of generosity becomes the measurement of your return.” TPT
What will you do with the overflowing measure given to you? What do you think Jesus did with the overflow given to His ministry while on the earth?
The Beloved disciple wrote by The Holy Spirit in John chapter 13:
29 Some thought that Judas, their trusted treasurer, was being told to go buy what was needed for the Passover celebration, or perhaps to go give something to the poor.
It is obvious that in the past, Jesus instructed Judas to give to the poor out of the money given to the ministry. Some of the disciples assumed this to be the case once again.
Unity requires trustworthiness. How can I enjoy complete fellowship with a person if the other is not trustworthy in all aspects of the relationship? In the most personal sense, it starts with the tithe. FATHER doesn’t need our money, but it does establish our relationship with HIM in the one area where the adversary focuses. The love of money (greed) is the root of all evil.
