Will the U.S. be energy independent?

Monday, January 21st, 2013

Not with shale oil.  I have been discussing the economics of shale drilling with a friend of mine who is a geologist.  We both agreed that the cost of drilling those horizontal wells versus the expected output and decline did not make sense.  Just as the Internet bubble could not last, just as the housing bubble could not last, the shale play will not last either.

The 9th Commandment

Monday, January 21st, 2013

Exodus 20:16  “You shall not bear false witness against your neighbor.”

Does reality need your assistance or interpretation in any way?  This commandment clearly states that you should not lie or misrepresent the reality, truth, and facts in any situation.  We are all commanded to be honest.  A truly honest person is harder and harder to find in America.  There is an old saying, “A man is as good as his word.”  That is no longer the case.  Men hide behind plausible deniability now.  Instead of innocent perception, men attempt to manipulate the facts and the truth to suit their self preservation or promotion.  The court system is all but a mockery now.  Attorneys hide behind their commitment to represent their client when truth is critically needed to produce a corrective judgment.  Men no longer love reality but instead create a perception and then an illusion that ultimately leads to destruction.

What is the motivation to be dishonest with your neighbor?  Your ego!  The old man will lie, cheat, and steal to maintain his control of your life.  “Take no prisoners” is the cry of your ego.  Your spirit loves reality and must overcome the old man.  The reality is where Our Heavenly Father resides.

Do you want to bear good fruit?  You must have an honest heart:

Luke 8:15   But that on the good ground are they, which in an honest and good heart, having heard the word, keep [it], and bring forth fruit with patience.

Further, in the end your false witness will be exposed:

Luke 8:17  For nothing is secret, that shall not be made manifest; neither [any thing] hid, that shall not be known and come abroad.

What should be our focus?

Philippians 4:8   Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things [are] honest, whatsoever things [are] just, whatsoever things [are] pure, whatsoever things [are] lovely, whatsoever things [are] of good report; if [there be] any virtue, and if [there be] any praise, think on these things.

As the Law of the credible witness states- if you fail to be a credible witness to your neighbor, you become subject to the same judgment that has been charged against him.  Our Heavenly Father endorses only the truth and honesty.  Your calling is subject to delay until you have overcome the issue of bearing false witness.  You must be above reproach.  When you speak the truth, your support reality.  Your calling is in the realm of reality and is not supported by any illusion or falsehood.  Your calling requires trustworthiness to Love and reality.

Speak the truth in Love for reality can seem harsh to the hearer.  Be sensitive and compassionate.  Don’t abuse people with the truth.  Convey the truth with comfort.

EDS Beta Machine

Sunday, January 20th, 2013

Our EDS Beta machine should be finally ready to validate this coming week.  The developer of the hardware brought it by the office for my initial review:

DSC03136  DSC03138

Unlike other devices, this is self-contained for rugged use in third world countries (and baggage handlers).  We will test the beta machine with existing software to verify compatibility.  Once that is accomplished, we will begin downsizing and developing the software to run on current platforms.  We expect this to be a rapid development effort.

The 8th Commandment

Saturday, January 19th, 2013

Exodus 20:15   “You shall not steal.”  NKJV

Theft has become so widespread that this Commandment alone would be grounds for nations to come under severe judgment.  The spirit of entitlement raises its ugly head to convince us that something that belongs to someone else is really meant to be ours.  The ego’s scarcity mentality propels us into a life of theft because there is simply not enough to go around.  Sufficiency in goods, services, ideas, resources, are all available through Our Heavenly Father.  Our gifts and our calling attracts all of the needed resources to bring forth fruit.  If we are living lawlessly, we cutoff the life flow and the attraction of those resources to our beck and call.

The positive side to this commandment is that we honor the rights and possessions of others.  I have heard many say that I don’t own anything, everything belongs to THE LORD.  This commandment says otherwise.  We are called to “own” resources as an aspect of our calling.  We are called to be good stewards over possessions and resources.  Yes, you can argue that everything is THE LORD’S as the right of ultimate Creator. However, HE assigned title to us.  Our actions surrounding our possessions reveal the state of our hearts.  We are accountable and responsible.

If you have a scarcity mentality, you will steal.  This reveals the state of your heart as it relates to Love.  When you are given too much change when you pay your bill in the restaurant or retail store, do you return the difference?  Stealing is an attitude of the heart and expressed later in actions.  You don’t honor the possessions of others and thus you probably don’t honor your parents or Our Heavenly Father either.  Your Love is lacking.

What about the abuse of others in stealing from you?  What about the government “stealing” your money by exacting unfair or additional taxes?  What about their attempt to take your social security away from you after you paid in for four or five decades?  Government theft is so commonplace that we could spend days, weeks, and months focusing on the theft inherent in the system.  Are the resources of Our Heavenly Father greater than the government’s ability to steal?

When you are walking in Love, you truly know what belongs to you.  Love honors the other person and his possessions.  Love will attract resources needed for you to live and flourish in your calling.  The thief will be revealed before he can steal from you.  In some cases, mercy will cause you to fill the void that is in the thief’s heart.  In the end, the thief will pay restitution for his theft.  However it is Our Heavenly Father’s job to carry out judgment.

You are given resources by Our Heavenly Father thus you become responsible and accountable for those resources.  You are to extend your Love by using the resources in an appropriate fashion.  Hoarding resources means that someone else will go without.  In the end, you have accountability when the intended recipient of those hoarded resources resorts to stealing.  The universe is in constant fluid motion.  Energy is transferred in ebb and flow.  Exchange is fundamental in life.  As each of us gives, we set the stage to receive.  When someone steals, they block the Divine flow.  When someone else hoards, they also block the flow.  The hoarder would rather pay for storage space and let the goods rot than to bless someone in need.  The commandment is all about the appropriate use of resources based on your Love.

Greed (love of money) plays such a key role in the landscape that promotes stealing.  When people are deprived of basic resources they will resort to stealing.  Those who are motivated by greed believe that the all resources should be retained in their control.  This imbalance sets the stage for stealing.  As Love replaces greed, the flow is once again activated.  You begin to understand that your possessions do not define you and you then release those possessions to those who are in need.  You should give the resource to the rightful owner.  The owner of the resource is determined by the calling.  As you empower that person’s calling, you also reap the benefit of that person’s fruit.

The misappropriation of time, energy, and money to fruitless endeavors is theft as well.  When you focus resources on inappropriate tasks, projects, or trivial pursuits, you have participated in the theft of “fruitfulness”.  Growing a vineyard in the desert is a misallocation of resources.  Supporting a drug habit is a misuse of money.  Any action based on compulsive behavior, a whim, or other misdirected act is a misuse of resources.  As you allow Love to come forth in your life, you will no longer steal.  Your fruit will abound and life will be promoted.  Stealing will no longer be considered as an option.

$6.9 trillion deficit in 2012

Friday, January 18th, 2013

John Williams’ Shadowstats.com reports today:

“Based on generally-accepted-accounting principles—or GAAP-based accounting—the 2012 consolidated financial statements of the United States Government showed a $6.9 trillion deficit for fiscal 2012, up from $4.6 trillion in 2011.”

I recommend a subscription to his service.  It saves the rest of us time in wading through government statistics and their interpretation.  You won’t find the mainstream media (MSM) making an issue of this.

The Trillion Dollar Coin

Friday, January 18th, 2013

In an attempt to circumvent the debt ceiling issue, the Administration passed an idea by the public to see the reaction- create a $1,000,000,000,000 coin and deposit it with the Federal Reserve Bank thus creating money in one simple act.  Clearly, it did not fly.  History will ask the question “What were these guys thinking?”  The sad reality is that the American public has degraded to the point where an attempt of this nature could even be contemplated.  My oh my.

The following is an excellent concise article about this latest attempt:

The 7th Commandment

Friday, January 18th, 2013

Exodus 20:14  “Thou shall not commit adultery.”

The basis of the family is unity between the husband and wife.  The two become one.  This is also reflected in Jesus Christ being the husband and His bride being the church.  Throughout Scripture this theme of consummation of the bride and the bridegroom assures us the ultimate plan leads mankind to the restoration of all things.  The plan is one of unity, not division.  Love ultimately prevails even over death.  Bloodthirsty men would have us believe that most of mankind would suffer for an eternity and that Our Heavenly Father’s grand plan was flawed by HIS own creation.  These same bloodthirsty men seek to control the masses in order to exalt themselves to a level above all men.  They are truly ravenous wolves in sheep’s clothing.

Proverbs 6:32  Whoever commits adultery with a woman lacks understanding; He who does so destroys his own soul.

The spirit and soul are tied together in similar fashion.  Being true to yourself and your spouse will set the stage to get a deeper spiritual understanding.

Marriage is a Holy bond established by Our Heavenly Father as a means to bring forth life.  A marriage should be the outward expression of Love, kindness, and tenderness for all to see.  It should be an expression of great compassion, one of the core aspects of Our Lord Jesus Christ.  This compassion and kindness is intended for the family to see and spread forth as the family grows.  Compassion is intended to spread over the entire earth but first it must be displayed in the core of the family unit.

A union is formed when the man and woman come together in Love.  This unity is to create “one spirit”.  The Law of the double witness is first created in marriage.  Each partner must become a credible witness.  Adultery compromises this witness.  The bond created between the man and the woman should be pure and free of any dishonesty or debasement.  A relationship built on dishonesty will at best be strained and will fail unless repentance and restoration comes forth.  As the marriage is based on purity and honor, the bond is strengthened and can withstand the tests and trials that are sure to come.

Each major problem that exists in a marriage can probably be traced back to some compromise in the unity of the marriage.  Adulterations are not only sexual but can be traced back to selfish desires.  Money, prestige, citizenship, loneliness are all motivations to marry.  These produce impurity in the marriage from day one.  When an individual marries for any other reason, adultery exists in the marriage.  Love and unity are the core bonds of marriage.

The ego plays a major role in adultery.  The man or woman wants to be reassured that they are still attractive to others.  This may be due to their spouse no longer treating them as being “special” in their eyes.  When this assurance has waned, the spouse will go elsewhere to seek this assurance.  Often, they are accommodated.  The ego of both partners plays a role in this widespread problem.  Both are so focused on themselves, they fail to  minister to the needs of the other.

Commitment to your spouse will strengthen the bonds of marriage.  Acknowledgement and respect of your spouse’s gifts and calling will provide you with greater understanding of why Our Heavenly Father put the two of you together.  Two people with the exact same gifts would not be as exciting as a diversity of gifts in the family.  Adultery in some form has probably occurred in every marriage in the broadest sense.  I know of no marriage that has been in absolute unity for any sustained period just as none of us are without sin.  However forgiveness is the hallmark of a strong marriage just as it plays a vital role in our relationship with Our Heavenly Father.  Each marriage belongs to Our Heavenly Father and is established by HIS Divine purpose.  Each life produced from the marriage is part of HIS plan.  As we keep the sanctity and purity as well as the commitment and the forgiveness at the center of marriage, this union will bring forth life and blessing.  If your marriage can grow, strengthen, and mature with commitment, your other relationships will reap the benefits as well.  Your relationship with Our Heavenly Father will be the greatest benefactor of all.

Tapping into Pension Fund to get around debt ceiling

“Geithner says gov’t will borrow from federal employee pension fund to avoid passing debt limit”

OK, let’s see how this issue progresses:

Step 1  Replace all Social Security funds with U.S. Government IOU’s

Step 2  Replace all Government Pension Funds with U.S. Government IOU’s

Step 3  Replace all 401K Funds with U.S. Government IOU’s

Step 4  Replace all IRA Funds with U.S. Government IOU’s

Problem solved!

Currency War on the horizon

Thursday, January 17th, 2013

Countries are starting to get desperate.  The good ole’ times are over.  The debt-based system is teetering now and it is every man for himself.  Germany’s demand for its gold (over a 7 year period) is just another example of Central Banks beginning to align themselves for a currency conflict.  The American attitude of entitlement will soon be challenged.  The U.S. Dollar as the world reserve currency is being challenged by the Kings of the East.  I expect gold to be the beneficiary and silver to be dragged up the price scale with it.  This trillion dollar coin is just the latest laughable attempt to “fix” the problem of massive debt.  That must be quite a coin!

Russia is also commenting on the upcoming skirmishes: http://www.bloomberg.com/news/2013-01-16/russia-says-world-is-nearing-currency-war-as-europe-joins.html

Only the Kingdom-based economy can solve the global economic issues.  Only the wisdom from Above can steer us through the turmoil on the horizon.  Our leaders need to be reciting The Lord’s Prayer… and believe it!
