Walking In The Light

Saturday, January 21st, 2017

In the Beloved Disciple’s Gospel chapter 3, Jesus spoke:

18 “He who believes in Him is not condemned; but he who does not believe is condemned already, because he has not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God.

19 And this is the condemnation, that the light has come into the world, and men loved darkness rather than light, because their deeds were evil.

20 For everyone practicing evil hates the light and does not come to the light, lest his deeds should be exposed.

21 But he who does the truth comes to the light, that his deeds may be clearly seen, that they have been done in God.”

When we walk according to our specific purpose and in response to FATHER’S directives, we are walking in the light.  FATHER’S Word is Truth and all else is judged according to Truth.  Many of us have seen much darkness occurring in this world for many of those who have been exalted in the eyes of the people loved the darkness and have promoted darkness among their followers.  As a result, FATHER has raised up vessels to expose the Truth for all to clearly choose what path they will take: darkness and death or light and life.

Those who walk in darkness try to intimidate those who are of the light.  Those days are coming to an end and no longer will darkness prevail.  By THE SPIRIT in Psalm 27 it is written:

1 The LORD is my light and my salvation;

Whom shall I fear?

The LORD is the strength of my life;

Of whom shall I be afraid?

We are now seeing darkness and lies exposed for FATHER will no longer allow lies and deception to remain hidden.  People have been quietly suffering but the prayers of the righteous have found their way to Heaven and FATHER is answering those prayers.  There is only one true solution to the problems which confront the earth.  In John chapter 8, Jesus spoke:

12 Then Jesus spoke to them again, saying, “I am the light of the world. He who follows Me shall not walk in darkness, but have the light of life.”

No religion or philosophy offers a solution of life but instead uses threats and intimidation to keep followers in line.  On the other hand, the ministry of Jesus is to set the captives free and promote life among the believers.  FATHER’S Word promotes life, health, and healing by walking in Truth rather than men’s doctrines and opinions.  THE SPIRIT revealed in Psalm 119:

105 Your word is a lamp to my feet

And a light to my path.

Those who walk in the light produce good fruit for others to partake and be satisfied.  To insure this light continued beyond the earthly ministry of Jesus Christ, He sent The Holy Spirit to dwell in us with the expectation we would operate in the same power and authority as Him.  Let us be aware of this Truth expressed by Paul by THE SPIRIT in Romans chapter 8:

11 But if the Spirit of Him who raised Jesus from the dead dwells in you, He who raised Christ from the dead will also give life to your mortal bodies through His Spirit who dwells in you.

Walking in the light will destroy the works of the devil and know with full assurance that Love overcomes all.  The Beloved Disciples clearly states this Truth in 1 John chapter 3:

7 Little children, let no one deceive you. He who practices righteousness is righteous, just as He is righteous.

8 He who sins is of the devil, for the devil has sinned from the beginning. For this purpose the Son of God was manifested, that He might destroy the works of the devil.

Sickness and death do not originate from FATHER or HIS Will.  Jesus spent much time ministering healing and promoting life in His ministry.  He raised the dead and healed the sick.  If it were FATHER’S will for us to be afflicted then Jesus would not have done those mighty works and encouraged us to do the same.  Why did Jesus speak the following in John chapter 14 if we were not meant to walk and act accordingly:

12 “Most assuredly, I say to you, he who believes in Me, the works that I do he will do also; and greater works than these he will do, because I go to My Father.

13 And whatever you ask in My name, that I will do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son.

14 If you ask anything in My name, I will do it.”

Many believers are in denial of their salvation being applicable to the here and now.  We are a new creation thus we should walk in the light of this revelation.  The past is of none effect in our current state for the blood of Jesus Christ dealt fully with our past.  Peter denied Christ three times yet that denial did not prevent Peter from receiving The Holy Spirit and power from On High.  Peter operated according to the above passage in Acts chapter 3:

6 Then Peter said, “Silver and gold I do not have, but what I do have I give you: In the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, rise up and walk.”

7 And he took him by the right hand and lifted him up, and immediately his feet and ankle bones received strength.

8 So he, leaping up, stood and walked and entered the temple with them—walking, leaping, and praising God.

9 And all the people saw him walking and praising God.

10 Then they knew that it was he who sat begging alms at the Beautiful Gate of the temple; and they were filled with wonder and amazement at what had happened to him.

We need to press in and die to the “flesh” and live unto THE SPIRIT.  As we do, the fullness of ministry of The Holy Spirit will take effect in our lives and we too will walk in the Light!  If not us then who else will minister life and light to the people?

HIS Anointing Brings Unity

Friday, January 20th, 2017

FATHER’S anointing in each of us is as specific as our individuality.  HIS anointing on me is specific and unique to me and applicable to all of the obstacles and challenges which will confront me in the future.  The same is true for you.  There is an anointing for every task you undertake which has been directed by HIM.  Without the anointing, other tasks are simply burdens without the blessings.

Psalm 133

1 Behold, how good and how pleasant it is

For brethren to dwell together in unity!

2 It is like the precious oil upon the head,

Running down on the beard,

The beard of Aaron,

Running down on the edge of his garments.

3 It is like the dew of Hermon,

Descending upon the mountains of Zion;

For there the LORD commanded the blessing—

Life forevermore.

When each of us walk in our anointing, we become in full unity as the Body of Christ.  The precious oil of anointing poured out on Aaron was not given sparingly but was meant to include the entire body as it traveled from the head to his garments.  It originates from Above and proceeds down to earth.  What is the cost of the anointing?  Death to the flesh!  Jesus died on the cross in order for The Holy Spirit to be sent for the anointing of the disciples.  In Luke 24 Jesus spoke:

46 Then He said to them, “Thus it is written, and thus it was necessary for the Christ to suffer and to rise from the dead the third day,

47 and that repentance and remission of sins should be preached in His name to all nations, beginning at Jerusalem.

48 And you are witnesses of these things.

49 Behold, I send the Promise of My Father upon you; but tarry in the city of Jerusalem until you are endued with power from on high.”

This power and authority is separate and distinct from what man conveys for it can break the bonds and set the captives free no matter what circumstances we encounter.  When FATHER instructs us to act, HIS Anointing is included to insure success.  There is power in HIS Word and we must have faith in HIS Ability to fulfill HIS Word in us.  When Jesus received power upon High at the time of His baptism, He was now prepared to produce mighty works as a testimony and witness of FATHER to all the earth.  By THE SPIRIT Mark wrote in chapter 6:

2 And when the Sabbath had come, He began to teach in the synagogue. And many hearing Him were astonished, saying, “Where did this Man get these things? And what wisdom is this which is given to Him, that such mighty works are performed by His hands!

Once anointed by FATHER, we too should expect mighty works in our calling.  HIS anointing does not rely on our individual strength or raw intellect.  We rely on FATHER’S inherent power to cause HIS Word to accomplish HIS Intent.  Paul wrote by THE SPIRIT in Philippians chapter 4:

13 I can do all things through Christ (His anointing: power and authority) who strengthens me.

The anointing of THE SPIRIT brings joy.  If you are truly anointed in your walk, you will experience joy as you proceed.  If there is no anointing, your daily walk becomes a burden.  Those who are called of FATHER to come into unity should be excited and joyful in their daily walk.  It is written by THE SPIRIT in Act chapter 13:

52 And the disciples were filled with joy and with the Holy Spirit.

And in Luke chapter 10:

21 At that time Jesus, full of joy through the Holy Spirit, said, “I praise you, Father, Lord of heaven and earth, because you have hidden these things from the wise and learned, and revealed them to little children. Yes, Father, for this is what you were pleased to do.”

I am excited about what will unfold this year as I believe those who are called and anointed will be drawn together in a much closer relationship.  Each will contribute the fruit of their anointing to the Body in some manner and they will do it with joy.  Those who truly Love FATHER but have felt somewhat isolated in the past should experience a change which will encourage unity among the brethren by serving others in a greater fashion.  Jesus told the disciples to tarry until the anointed power arrived to enable them to minister effectively.  We too must be endued with power from on High.  As a result, we will be drawn to unity with our brothers and sisters in Christ.  We will all be followers of Christ alone and not traditions of men.  FATHER’S anointing will bring forth unity which cannot be broken and true joy will be widespread among the brethren as a result.

Giving The Firstfruits

Thursday, January 19th, 2017

Everyone wants to receive blessings but how many want to give a blessing to others… unconditionally?  By THE SPIRIT Wisdom spoke in Proverbs chapter 3:

9 Honor the LORD with your possessions,

And with the firstfruits of all your increase;

10 So your barns will be filled with plenty,

And your vats will overflow with new wine.

The function of seed is to produce a harvest in the future and FATHER multiplies the seed so that increase and growth will occur.  For those who can grasp this Truth and Law, they will tap into the blessings of Heaven.  FATHER has no issue with us having an abundance or else why would the young boy who provided the loaves and fishes depart with much more than he brought?

Jesus Himself was the firstfruits offered up on our behalf so that the Kingdom would multiply and increase well beyond Jerusalem.  In the Old Testament, the firstfruits were given so that the priests could minister in their appointed office and have their physical needs met.

By THE SPIRIT Nehemiah instructed the people concerning the firstfruits:

35 And we made ordinances to bring the firstfruits of our ground and the firstfruits of all fruit of all trees, year by year, to the house of the LORD;

36 to bring the firstborn of our sons and our cattle, as it is written in the Law, and the firstborn of our herds and our flocks, to the house of our God, to the priests who minister in the house of our God;

37 to bring the firstfruits of our dough, our offerings, the fruit from all kinds of trees, the new wine and oil, to the priests, to the storerooms of the house of our God; and to bring the tithes of our land to the Levites, for the Levites should receive the tithes in all our farming communities.

Why?  They were not to neglect the house of our God.

The anointing occurs at the beginning of ministry.  The firstfruits is given to assure future success.  Seed is first sown in order for a future harvest to occur.  Can you see the pattern FATHER has established in order for us to understand the Law of the firstfruits?  This law requires faith in FATHER’S Ability to perform in the future.  It also requires us to comprehend the unconditional Love which motivates HIM to watch over HIS Covenant with us.

Those who have not been anointed cannot minister to FATHER according to HIS prerequisites.  Those who fail to understand this Truth often wonder why they see no blessings in their life.  The concept is straightforward but men’s fear, uncertainty, and doubt keep them from receiving the benefits of fully embracing this Truth.  People can attempt to “work” the law but FATHER knows the intent behind their giving.  Pure seed produces pure fruit.

Those who are faithful to sow into the Kingdom are rewarded whether their firstfruits are great or small.  Our willingness to give with the proper intent brings forth power from Heaven.  Our willingness is “prophetic” to future results we should expect to occur as a result of our faithfulness to FATHER’S promises concerning the blessings of the firstfruits.  How much greater will the harvest be when many who are called by HIS Name bring forth their firstfruits in unity and gladness.  I believe this is one reason why FATHER wants us to confront these issues now.

People who embrace this Truth are those who FATHER promises in Ezekiel chapter 36 when HE spoke:

26 “I will give you a new heart and put a new spirit within you; I will take the heart of stone out of your flesh and give you a heart of flesh.

27 I will put My Spirit within you and cause you to walk in My statutes, and you will keep My judgments and do them.

28 Then you shall dwell in the land that I gave to your fathers; you shall be My people, and I will be your God.

29 I will deliver you from all your uncleannesses. I will call for the grain and multiply it, and bring no famine upon you.

30 And I will multiply the fruit of your trees and the increase of your fields, so that you need never again bear the reproach of famine among the nations.”

I say AMEN!

The Freshness of Anointing

Wednesday, January 18th, 2017

The word anoint means to choose and empower.  In the Old Testament, FATHER chose men and had the prophet ceremonially anoint them with oil as a visible indication associated with the empowering of THE SPIRIT.  Once the ceremony took place, there was no question who FATHER had selected for HIS Purpose.

One of the greatest hindrances to success in any endeavor is the mismatch of gifts to the task at hand.  Would you want someone who is mediocre building your house?  Would you want the worst doctor performing heart surgery on your child?  Instead you would want the one person whom FATHER has imparted the gifts and calling to do the work on your behalf.  One of the best examples is Bezalel.  In Exodus chapter 31 FATHER spoke:

1 Then the LORD spoke to Moses, saying:

2 “See, I have called by name Bezalel the son of Uri, the son of Hur, of the tribe of Judah.

3 And I have filled him with the Spirit of God, in wisdom, in understanding, in knowledge, and in all manner of workmanship,

4 to design artistic works, to work in gold, in silver, in bronze,

5 in cutting jewels for setting, in carving wood, and to work in all manner of workmanship.”

Would you want anyone else to be charged with the building of the Tabernacle?  FATHER knew Bezalel’s calling when HE formed him in the womb.  As Bezalel matured, he gravitated toward developing those gifts which would serve FATHER in the optimum manner.  You can be sure that Bezalel had a passion for such workmanship.  Other workmen who were called to this most important task gladly submitted to his gifts and calling for they knew their limitations.

When you have men in their own wisdom attempting to take on such a project, mediocrity enters in and they ultimately miss the mark of excellence.  FATHER would not allow HIS Dwelling Place to be constructed by amateurs who lacked the needed skills for success.  Sadly the current system does not operate in the same manner except where FATHER is exalted as the Source of all wisdom and understanding.

Not everyone is called to the forefront of ministry.  Some are called to administration, some are called to manage assets on behalf of the Kingdom, and some are called to serve those in need.  When everyone fulfills their calling, the overall ministry flourishes.  Otherwise the fruit of success is limited.  A chain is only as good as the weakest link.

In Acts chapter 6 there were complaints concerning the neglect of the widows.  Once again those with the gifts and calling were selected to fulfill the need:

3 Therefore, brethren, seek out from among you seven men of good reputation, full of the Holy Spirit and wisdom, whom we may appoint over this business;

4 but we will give ourselves continually to prayer and to the ministry of the word.”

5 And the saying pleased the whole multitude. And they chose Stephen, a man full of faith and the Holy Spirit, and Philip, Prochorus, Nicanor, Timon, Parmenas, and Nicolas, a proselyte from Antioch,

6 whom they set before the apostles; and when they had prayed, they laid hands on them.

7 Then the word of God spread, and the number of the disciples multiplied greatly in Jerusalem, and a great many of the priests were obedient to the faith.

To Minister, serve, and work all come from the same Hebrew word sharath .  When you serve a ministry in any capacity you are effectively in the ministry unto FATHER.  When you work and produce funds which in turn help support a ministry, you are also a minister of the Gospel.  As you fulfill the calling on your life FATHER will bless you accordingly and be assured that your calling includes spreading the Gospel in some manner.  FATHER gave the following promise to those who wholly follow Him and seek HIS Face in Deuteronomy chapter 30:

8 And you will again obey the voice of the LORD and do all His commandments which I command you today.

9 The LORD your God will make you abound in all the work of your hand, in the fruit of your body, in the increase of your livestock, and in the produce of your land for good. For the LORD will again rejoice over you for good as He rejoiced over your fathers,

10 if you obey the voice of the LORD your God, to keep His commandments and His statutes which are written in this Book of the Law, and if you turn to the LORD your God with all your heart and with all your soul.

FATHER sent us The Holy Spirit to anoint and empower us to fulfill our calling.  Paul wrote by THE SPIRIT in Philippians chapter 4:

13 I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.

and in Romans chapter 7:

6 But now we have been delivered from the law, having died to what we were held by, so that we should serve in the newness of the Spirit and not in the oldness of the letter.

FATHER has provided the anointing of The Holy Spirit with power for each of us to fulfill our mandate on earth.  We have the choice to accept or reject this straight and narrow path.  There will be times when the adversary will challenge us, especially when we first embark on a new phase of our walk.  Once Jesus was anointed with The Holy Spirit and power He immediately was challenged by the devil.  Don’t think it will be any different with you or me.  At each major crossroad in my life, I was first presented with a counterfeit alternative that appealed to the world’s wisdom and understanding.  We must seek FATHER, HIS Wisdom, and anointing when faced with the counterfeit so we are able to see through the diversion.  The adversary would like nothing more than for each of us to be choose a path other than the one which leads to the fulfillment of our calling.

We need the freshness of HIS anointing each and every day.  Let us not be void of HIS Word in any area but continue in HIS Word and fellowship.  As a result, we will fulfill our calling thereby maximizing our fruitfulness.  HIS anointing confirms the path we are on.  If there is no fruit whatsoever, it may be time to assess the path to see if an adjustment is required.  It may be necessary to be still and wait for HIM to reveal the next steps to take for HE will supply the fresh anointing to fulfill the path HE has selected for each of us.  This fresh anointing will ease the burden and at the same time expand the blessing.

It’s All About Intent

Tuesday, January 17th, 2017

In John chapter 12, the Beloved Disciple wrote by THE SPIRIT:

1 Then, six days before the Passover, Jesus came to Bethany, where Lazarus was who had been dead, whom He had raised from the dead.

2 There they made Him a supper; and Martha served, but Lazarus was one of those who sat at the table with Him.

3 Then Mary took a pound of very costly oil of spikenard, anointed the feet of Jesus, and wiped His feet with her hair. And the house was filled with the fragrance of the oil.

4 But one of His disciples, Judas Iscariot, Simon’s son, who would betray Him, said,

5 “Why was this fragrant oil not sold for three hundred denarii and given to the poor?”

6 This he said, not that he cared for the poor, but because he was a thief, and had the money box; and he used to take what was put in it.

Jesus had a thief among His twelve disciples which happened to be the treasurer, the proverbial fox in the hen house.  Was Jesus aware of what Judas was doing?  FATHER knew thus we must conclude Jesus was aware of it also for He had already told the disciples the parable of the rich fool and spoke “Take heed and beware of covetousness, for one’s life does not consist in the abundance of the things he possesses.” (Luke 12:15)

One of the reasons people don’t give into ministry is because they judge according to what they believe will be the use or misuse of the funds to be.  Jesus knew Judas was pilfering from the treasury yet He did not prevent people from supporting the ministry.  He knew that FATHER would bless those who gave no matter what the use of the funds.  FATHER blesses based on the intent of the heart, not the result by the recipient.  Unconditional Love gives even though there is a risk of misuse.  The issue is one of stewardship while we are walking out this life.  Paul wrote by THE SPIRIT in 1 Timothy chapter 6:

6 Now godliness with contentment is great gain.

7 For we brought nothing into this world, and it is certain we can carry nothing out.

8 And having food and clothing, with these we shall be content.

9 But those who desire to be rich fall into temptation and a snare, and into many foolish and harmful lusts which drown men in destruction and perdition.

10 For the love of money is a root of all kinds of evil, for which some have strayed from the faith in their greediness, and pierced themselves through with many sorrows.

Those with the ability to give are tested in their willingness to fund the Gospel.  If you are waiting for the perfect organization to give into, you are simply rationalizing why you should hold on to your temporary wealth.  Some would say they are hoarding their funds as an inheritance for their children.  Let the children learn to trust in FATHER rather than trust in some future inheritance which could become worthless overnight by one stroke of a government pen.

Jesus was not moved by Judas’ thievery.  He could have exposed it at any time yet Judas’ greed played a part in fulfilling the salvation of the world.  We must focus our attention on walking according to FATHER’S Divine Intent and we will have sufficiency in all things.  Let us not trust in money for it has wings and can fly away at any moment.  If FATHER says to give, then give.  If FATHER says to give to a particular person or organization then do so cheerfully even though you have no assurance of its use.  FATHER is looking for obedience to HIM.  HE knows who can be trusted and who is a thief.  After all, HE did use a thief as an instrument in fulfilling the Plan for mankind.

John chapter 14 Jesus spoke the following assurance:

25 “These things I have spoken to you while being present with you.

26 But the Helper, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in My name, He will teach you all things, and bring to your remembrance all things that I said to you.

27 Peace I leave with you, My peace I give to you; not as the world gives do I give to you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid.

28 You have heard Me say to you, ‘I am going away and coming back to you.’ If you loved Me, you would rejoice because I said, ‘I am going to the Father,’ for My Father is greater than I.”

Our peace and contentment originates from Above, not our bank account or our possessions.  They are temporary in nature whereas our relationship with FATHER is eternal.  Let us keep our focus on the right priorities.

The Kingdom of Giving

Monday, January 16th, 2017

In a previous writing I cited three examples of people giving directly into Jesus Christ’s earthly ministry.  Here we have the Son of THE CREATOR of the universe being supported by those who have yet to receive the fullness of Christ for He had not yet gone to the cross.  We must dare to ask the question “Why?”.  I would say to you that most people really don’t want the answer for if they did, they would then be accountable to FATHER.  “Out of sight, out of mind!”

If you ever want to truly ascend to the next level of maturity, you must become a cheerful giver.  We can dance all around this subject but it still does not change the reality.  If you are not a giver what it says deep down inside is that you really don’t believe FATHER will supply all your need.  Further, Jesus would see you as having little or no faith rather than great faith.

When FATHER told me to start Servias Ministries, HE told me to fund its organization costs which I gladly responded.  HE and I have a history in this area.  There have been times when HE would direct me to give a sizable donation or gift and there would arise much discomfort in my mind… as expected.  My logic would attempt to talk me out of responding to HIS Word yet over the years I have taken command over my mind and not yielded to those soulish thoughts.  FATHER has rewarded my wife and I many times over.  I am grateful for all HIS blessings.

Many people will shut down when they hear any discussion of giving into the ministry for they don’t want to be “fleeced” or taken advantage of again.  Has the government fleeced us in the past?  Has the current system taken advantage of us many times over?  Has the legal system taken advantage of the disadvantaged?  The answer is a resounding “YES” to those questions.  Many of us who have been around awhile understand their intent and the mechanics of their deceiving practices.  We must place our trust in FATHER to ultimately reconcile the Truth and “the books”.

In John chapter 13 Jesus and the disciples were eating the Passover supper and He was revealing the betrayer Judas (the treasurer):

26 Jesus answered, “It is he to whom I shall give a piece of bread when I have dipped it.” And having dipped the bread, He gave it to Judas Iscariot, the son of Simon.

27 Now after the piece of bread, Satan entered him. Then Jesus said to him, “What you do, do quickly.”

28 But no one at the table knew for what reason He said this to him.

29 For some thought, because Judas had the money box, that Jesus had said to him, “Buy those things we need for the feast,” or that he should give something to the poor.

30 Having received the piece of bread, he then went out immediately. And it was night.

How appropriate that the betrayal centered around money.  Greed is so subtle that it matters not whether one is rich or poor, greed is often the issue men must deal with.  To those who are willing to embrace the fullness of the Kingdom, this area must be addressed.  You can rationalize why you should not give but it won’t pass the test of FATHER’S willing to give HIS first begotten Son for a world of sinners.  Insignificant giving is simply a method by which people avoid this issue. (See Mark 12:41-44)

I had to personally overcome the issue of giving many times in the past.  It is not something that you overcome once and you are done.  I would over-analyze the Word given me until I could rationalize why I shouldn’t give.  FATHER would show me what I was doing then I would repent and write the check.  I share this not to exalt myself in any manner but to show you how challenging being a “cheerful giver” can be to all of us no matter what our station in life.

I know that if I don’t give to the need, FATHER will find someone else to respond.  After all, HE really doesn’t need my money but what HE is really looking for is obedience to HIS Word in what is probably the most sensitive topic of today.  Those who truly want to be included in the Elect or “called-out ones” must deal with this area.  Jesus was willing to give His Life for us, what are we willing to give to others?

PS: Don’t shoot the messenger.  Philippians 4:10-20

The Ultimate Relationship

Sunday, January 15th, 2017

In John chapter 14 Jesus spoke:

21 “He who has My commandments and keeps them, it is he who loves Me. And he who loves Me will be loved by My Father, and I will love him and manifest Myself to him.”

Jesus makes an emphatic statement to those with ears to hear.  Everyone wants to have a most intimate relationship with Our Savior and He tells us exactly what it takes to enter in to such a relationship in this one simple declaration.  Not only do we have such a relationship with The Son but also with FATHER.

When we truly focus on reading the Gospels with a clear mind and no predetermined emphasis in mind, new vistas open up as though they had just been added to the Scripture.  Suddenly certain verses gain importance and add additional meaning to our lives.  As we are cleansed and purged of the cares of this world, the deceitfulness of riches, and the desires for other things, our eyes are open to a greater extent allowing us to see Truths which were hidden in plain sight.  As we realize the Words of Jesus are directed specifically to each of us then the following which Jesus spoke becomes personal:

12 “Most assuredly, I say to you, he who believes in Me, the works that I do he will do also; and greater works than these he will do, because I go to My Father.

13 And whatever you ask in My name, that I will do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son.

14 If you ask anything in My name, I will do it.”

Do you really believe these Words Jesus spoke?  He Himself told us where His Words originate from… Our Father in Heaven.  These Words contain the greatest Wisdom to be found yet men and women look elsewhere for answers to their problems even though other avenues prove to be insufficient at best.

Some would have you believe that all the promises in Scripture refer to some future event and thus we need to be satisfied with our current state of insufficiencies in our life.  In Hebrews chapter 13 by THE SPIRIT it is written:

8 Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today, and forever.

Those who keep your attention drawn to some future event at the expense of the “here and now” do so out of pride.  If they are not living a fruitful life they want to rationalize it away in their mind by convincing others to remain in the same state of mind with them.   “Misery loves company.”  Let us not settle for our current circumstances but let us look up and ascend higher.  By THE SPIRIT James wrote in chapter 1:

16 Do not be deceived, my beloved brethren.

17 Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, and comes down from the Father of lights, with whom there is no variation or shadow of turning.

18 Of His own will He brought us forth by the word of truth, that we might be a kind of firstfruits of His creatures.

FATHER does not change, Jesus does not change, thus we must not submit to those who are constantly changing and attempting to sway us with every wind of doctrine.  Jesus is the Chief Cornerstone by which our entire foundation is laid.  The Cornerstone is by central point where all else is measured and compared.  Why put your trust in someone or something temporary?  The ultimate relationship is one where there is no question or hidden agenda.  Is is based on bringing forth the best in a person and promoting life.  Men will fail you and ultimately die.  FATHER is with us for eternity as is Our Elder Brother Jesus and THE MOST HOLY SPIRIT.  Our ultimate relationship surpasses time and space and this is one you can truly count on.

Supporting The Ministry

Saturday, January 14th, 2017

Have you ever considered how Jesus was able to minister for 3 1/2 years with no mention of Him working as a carpenter or other such vocation?  He and His entourage of at least twelve disciples always had sufficiency.  There is no mention of Him having to do miracles to supply their daily food and hotel accommodations.  We have a few passages providing us the answer. By THE SPIRIT Mark wrote chapter 15:

40 There were also women looking on from afar, among whom were Mary Magdalene, Mary the mother of James the Less and of Joses, and Salome,

41 who also followed Him and ministered to Him when He was in Galilee, and many other women who came up with Him to Jerusalem.

This word “minister” is defined as:

  1. to minister i.e. supply food and necessities of life

  2. to minister. to attend to anything, that may serve another’s interests, to minister a thing to one, to serve one or by supplying any thing

This group of women financially supported His ministry by providing whatever necessities were needed.  Another example of persons supplying resources to Jesus is found in Luke chapter 19 where Jesus spoke:

29 And it came to pass, when He drew near to Bethphage and Bethany, at the mountain called Olivet, that He sent two of His disciples,

30 saying, “Go into the village opposite you, where as you enter you will find a colt tied, on which no one has ever sat. Loose it and bring it here.

31 And if anyone asks you, ‘Why are you loosing it?’ thus you shall say to him, ‘Because the Lord has need of it.’ ”

32 So those who were sent went their way and found it just as He had said to them.

33 But as they were loosing the colt, the owners of it said to them, “Why are you loosing the colt?”

34 And they said, “The Lord has need of him.”

Did the owners hold back or complain about their animals being taken?  I am sure Jesus knew their hearts and willingness to support the Gospel and chose them to supply this important event.  A third example is found in Luke 22 when Jesus instructs the disciples concerning the Passover supper:

7 Then came the Day of Unleavened Bread, when the Passover must be killed.

8 And He sent Peter and John, saying, “Go and prepare the Passover for us, that we may eat.”

9 So they said to Him, “Where do You want us to prepare?”

10 And He said to them, “Behold, when you have entered the city, a man will meet you carrying a pitcher of water; follow him into the house which he enters.

11 Then you shall say to the master of the house, ‘The Teacher says to you, “Where is the guest room where I may eat the Passover with My disciples?”

12 Then he will show you a large, furnished upper room; there make ready.”

13 So they went and found it just as He had said to them, and they prepared the Passover.

In all three examples the supporters were generally unnamed: the women of Galilee, the owners of the colt, and the master of the house with the guest room.  Do you think FATHER blessed them for their willingness to support the Gospel?  Did Jesus or His disciples have to plead with them to get them on board with the plan?  No, these were all cheerful givers willing to be a part of FATHER’S plan.  These givers are once again mentioned after two thousand years for their giving is not forgotten by FATHER.

Many people give based on conditions.  In their hearts they ask “What’s in it for me?” when they consider giving.  FATHER gave HIS Son even for those who are rejecting HIS Love to this day.  As we come to give unconditionally we also reap fruit given to us unconditionally.  What a blessed surprise when that fruit comes forth for it is the sweetest one could ask for!

Dealing with Consciousness

Friday, January 13th, 2017

In Hebrews it was written by THE SPIRIT in chapter 2:

14 Inasmuch then as the children have partaken of flesh and blood, He (Jesus Christ) Himself likewise shared in the same, that through death He might destroy him who had the power of death, that is, the devil,

15 and release those who through fear of death were all their lifetime subject to bondage.

We are no longer slaves to sin consciousness for Jesus destroyed the power of the devil and should no longer accept the law of sin and death in our consciousness.  In the Revelation of Jesus Christ chapter 1, Jesus spoke:

18 I am He who lives, and was dead, and behold, I am alive forevermore. Amen. And I have the keys of Hades and of Death.

Our consciousness whether it is focused on sin or righteousness will impact our words and deeds.  As we learn to trust FATHER and walk in faith we no longer expect failure.  Likewise, if we walk in sin consciousness, we don’t expect success IN HIM.  We must purge or wash away anything contrary to FATHER’S Divine Intent by reading, studying, meditating on The Word day and night.  As we pursue a personal relationship with FATHER and respond to HIS Word by action, we will begin to walk and think in righteousness and develop our faith.  The devil’s ability to captivate our thought life has been paralyzed and no longer has any power except that which we give him.  Paul instructs us by THE SPIRIT to give no place to the devil.  If that were not an issue FATHER would not have had Paul reveal the need.

Paul wrote by THE SPIRIT in Colossians chapter 2:

15 Having disarmed principalities and powers, He made a public spectacle of them, triumphing over them in it.

Jesus overcame all principalities and powers which previously had dominion over man.  Let us no longer allow anyone or anything to impact our consciousness but let us take command over our thought life.  Paul further wrote in Philippians chapter 4:

8 Finally, brethren, whatever things are true, whatever things are noble, whatever things are just, whatever things are pure, whatever things are lovely, whatever things are of good report, if there is any virtue and if there is anything praiseworthy—meditate on these things.

9 The things which you learned and received and heard and saw in me, these do, and the God of peace will be with you.

Just as the Law can be summed up in the two Commandments of Love, so can our consciousness be directed toward righteousness by guarding our thought life with Love.  Simply focus and meditate on the pure rather than any thought not meeting the criteria in verse 8.

We are a new creation thus we must accept the reality that our past has been blotted out and we are no longer subject to it.  Being a new creation, we should direct our focus and consciousness toward the present rather than drudging up past acts and thoughts of failure.  If you and I were perfect we would not have needed a Redeemer and salvation.  We need to let the past go and move forward.  Your consciousness will ultimately manifest in action.  If you dwell on sin, you will ultimately be sin-oriented.  If you dwell on righteousness, you will see a change in your outlook and you will draw others to you who are looking for answers to their problems.  As Christ is in the restoration business, you will be as well.

In John chapter 5, Jesus spoke:

30 I can of Myself do nothing. As I hear, I judge; and My judgment is righteous, because I do not seek My own will but the will of the Father who sent Me.

Jesus’ consciousness was solely focused on FATHER’S Will and Divine Intent.  As we move toward walking in the same manner, we will produce similar fruit in our lives.  In Him there is no darkness and there should be none in us as well.  We must take command over our thoughts and reject anything that is contrary to Love and purity of The Word.  There are times when a contrary thought comes to me and I simply speak to that thought and reject it.  I now do this even in my dreams for I know the importance of what I dwell on.  Let your mind no longer control you but take command of it and be determined to have your mind serve the new man.  Detach and purge yourself from the old man and former life.  It is our individual responsibility to deal with the state of our consciousness.  To the pure all things are pure.  Likewise, to the impure all things are impure.  Think about it.
