Interceding For Us

Saturday, December 2nd, 2017

None of us are are truly alone in our walk.  The Love of FATHER which is in Christ Jesus has provided intercession on our behalf.  Jesus is at the right hand of FATHER interceding for you and me continually.  The challenges before us are temporary and we have Heaven looking out for our best interest in all matters.  There are no charges or condemnation able to stand against us as Jesus intercedes on our behalf for we are fully acceptable by FATHER through Him as our Sacrifice.  This is how we can declare the Truth of being more than conquers because of HIS Love.

By THE SPIRIT Paul wrote in Roman chapter 8:

31 What then shall we say to these things? If God is for us, who can be against us?

32 He who did not spare His own Son, but delivered Him up for us all, how shall He not with Him also freely give us all things?

33 Who shall bring a charge against God’s elect? It is God who justifies.

34 Who is he who condemns? It is Christ who died, and furthermore is also risen, who is even at the right hand of God, who also makes intercession for us.

35 Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? Shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword?

36 As it is written:

“For Your sake we are killed all day long;

We are accounted as sheep for the slaughter.”

37 Yet in all these things we are more than conquerors through Him who loved us.

38 For I am persuaded that neither death nor life, nor angels nor principalities nor powers, nor things present nor things to come,

39 nor height nor depth, nor any other created thing, shall be able to separate us from the love of God which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.

NOTHING can separate us from FATHER’S Love!  Nothing can keep Jesus from successfully interceding for you and me, period!  We must be ever mindful of His intercession for we are not alone in dealing with the challenges of life.  As we realize this Truth, we are able to rest IN HIM and no longer be moved by the temporary circumstances all about us.  We must not forget the Holy Spirit also making intercession on our behalf:

26 Likewise the Spirit also helps in our weaknesses. For we do not know what we should pray for as we ought, but the Spirit Himself makes intercession for us with groanings which cannot be uttered.

Let our eyes be opened to the importance FATHER has placed on providing both Jesus Christ and The Holy Spirit as Intercessors on our behalf.  There is no disconnect between us and Them.  As I pray in THE SPIRIT I am helped In my weaknesses.  By HIS Love, FATHER is actively maturing us as we are dealing with the obstacles in this life so let us remain calm in the storm knowing that intercession is going forth on our behalf.

In Mark chapter 6 it is written by THE SPIRIT:

45 Immediately He made His disciples get into the boat and go before Him to the other side, to Bethsaida, while He sent the multitude away.

46 And when He had sent them away, He departed to the mountain to pray.

47 Now when evening came, the boat was in the middle of the sea; and He was alone on the land.

Jesus went to spend time with FATHER beginning around 6 PM (during the 1st watch), at the beginning of the nighttime hours.   He had just miraculously fed 5,000 men plus women and children and was going up the mountain to pray.

48 Then He saw them straining at rowing, for the wind was against them. Now about the fourth watch of the night He came to them, walking on the sea, and would have passed them by.

Notice that the disciples were straining at rowing.  The word for straining is basanizō and means: to torture; to vex with grievous pains (of body or mind), to torment; to be harassed, distressed; struggling.  They were following Jesus’ command to travel across the water but they faced tremendous resistance as a result.  At least six hours later during the 4th watch, Jesus came to them.  We can easily conclude Jesus spent this six hours in prayer on the mountain spending time with FATHER and in the darkest hour of the night He could see them in their struggles.  We should also note that Jesus was watching them even though it was the darkest hour and He was fully aware of their “straining”.  This resulted in Him coming to their rescue.  We now find out why they had such difficulty:

49 And when they saw Him walking on the sea, they supposed it was a ghost, and cried out;

50 for they all saw Him and were troubled. But immediately He talked with them and said to them, “Be of good cheer! It is I; do not be afraid.”

51 Then He went up into the boat to them, and the wind ceased. And they were greatly amazed in themselves beyond measure, and marveled.

52 For they had not understood about the loaves, because their heart was hardened.

Their hearts were hardened and they were afraid so Jesus acted on their behalf and calmed the sea.  Even when our hearts are not “right” Jesus still intercedes on our behalf.  The ultimate result of intercession will be peace in our lives and He will remove the hardness in our hearts so we are able to receive greater revelation.

The Importance Of Our Words

Friday, December 1st, 2017

Paul wrote by THE SPIRT in Romans chapter 10:

9 that if you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved.

10 For with the heart one believes unto righteousness, and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.  (NASB: for with the heart a person believes, resulting in righteousness, and with the mouth he confesses, resulting in salvation.)

11 For the Scripture says, “Whoever believes on Him will not be put to shame.”

12 For there is no distinction between Jew and Greek, for the same Lord over all is rich to all who call upon Him.

13 For whoever calls on the name of the LORD shall be saved.”  NKJV

The above passage indicates our words are critical to receiving salvation.  However, this is not intended to discount the importance of the state of our heart.  Our confession is witnessed by our ears and as a result our mind, will, emotions, and body begin to respond according to what we confess.  As I look back on my life I find that when sickness or disease has arrived on my doorstep, it is due to me being “diluted” of FATHER’S Word in the area of healing.  From a practical standpoint, this may be the most important writing to heed with respect to dealing with adverse situations each of us encounter.

Our minds will easily distract us from the revelation of The Word in our lives.  Jesus spoke in Matthew chapter 13:

22 Now he who received seed among the thorns is he who hears the word, and the cares of this world and the deceitfulness of riches choke the word, and he becomes unfruitful.

Jesus describes the thorns as worries and deceitfulness of riches thus anything taking our focus away from the life in The Word is a curse and will cause undesirable fruit to come forth.  As I focus on The Word coming forth out of my mouth and becoming alive in my heart, my mind and body will begin to line up with the zoe life in The Word.  In times past I have allowed myself to become diluted with pursuits of logic and reasoning resulting in me dealing with adversities that should not have occurred.  I can cite several instances when I failed to be “immersed” in The Word in particular areas and paid dearly for not heeding what FATHER taught me back in 1984 when I became sick with hepatitis from tainted shellfish.  Long story short… I was void of HIS Word in the area of healing.  More specifically I had allowed myself to become diluted in that area until I became “void”.

There are key verses to ponder relevant to each area of our life and we should not allow ourselves to grow cold in the revelation contained in those verses.  One effective way is to confess those verses and apply them to our life on a continual basis.  Some might say that it is unnecessary to do this but we only need to look at the lesson of the Tabernacle and the importance of keeping ordained reminders of FATHER’S salvation before us at all times.  In Psalm chapter 40:

16  Let all those who seek You rejoice and be glad in You;
Let such as love Your salvation say continually,
“The LORD be magnified!”

We are told in Joel chapter 3 by THE SPIRIT, ’Let the weak say, ‘I am strong.’  We are not confessing something false but a Truth based on FATHER’S Word which is greater than any circumstance we face.  A temporary situation is not greater than an everlasting reality.  It is that simple.  As we continually plant The Word in an area which has become barren, we will again reap a harvest as The Word takes hold and grows strong within us.  Simply look at the Words Jesus spoke to the multitudes and their fruitful response to being healed.  None had an exhaustive concordance and multiple versions of the written Word.  They simply heard and believed without being distracted by the noise we now find ourselves subjected to as a result of today’s technology, TV, and other sources of media.

I will be the first to admit that I have been lax in proclaiming the promises of FATHER in a continual manner and I have allowed dilution in some areas of my life.  Now that I have once again brought this issue to the surface, I will immerse myself in the areas lacking.  I will confess The Word and allow it to saturate my spirit, soul, and body.  I expect my soul and body to once again conform to The Word in areas where I have become weak.  Sometimes we simply need to get back to the basics and the simplicity of The Word.  Selah!
