Finding Normal- Part 3

Sunday, May 3rd, 2020

Peter wrote in his 2nd Epistle by The Holy Spirit in chapter 1:

5 So devote yourselves to lavishly supplementing your faith with goodness,

and to goodness add understanding,

6 and to understanding add the strength of self-control,

and to self-control add patient endurance,

and to patient endurance add Godliness,

7 and to Godliness add mercy toward your brothers and sisters,

and to mercy toward others add unending Love.

I spent much of my early walk focused on Scriptures and teachings on faith.  We were in the middle of the “faith” movement sweeping the country and the topic of faith was the primary message by many of the evangelists, pastors, and teachers.  I don’t recall any of them ever focusing on the above verses.  If they did, it certainly didn’t “stick” with those of us in the audience.  Faith was where we were encouraged to focus our attention.

My wife lost interest in their message and I was trying to pursue something deeper.  She clearly was my barometer in determining that it was time to move on from this encampment.  The above passage provides us the expected progression toward the fullness of finding FATHER’S Normal.  The culmination is Agape Love, of course.

We need to walk in each of these attributes as we move on along the path known as “The Way”.  The Holy Spirit further reveals some important Truths:

8 Since these virtues are already planted deep within, and you possess them in abundant supply, they will keep you from being inactive or fruitless in your pursuit of knowing Jesus Christ more intimately. 9 But if anyone lacks these things, he is blind, constantly closing his eyes to the mysteries of our faith, and forgetting his innocence—for his past sins have been washed away.

We need not hop on a plane and go to some distant place in order to find these virtues.  We need only to enter our prayer closet and open our eyes to this revelation.  They are planted as seeds in us waiting to be activated.  Not only are they there, but they are in abundant supply, fully sufficient, in great quantity and overflowing.  There is no inherent restriction associated with our potential to be fruitful in all that we set out to do on behalf of FATHER’S Divine Intent for our lives.

If anyone is lacking in these virtues, he is described as being blind and cannot access the mysteries of our faith, Christ in us.  That is quite a statement and we must take in very seriously.  The person who is blinded, “he is still searching for the purification of his original sins.”

We have been given the roadmap to maturity and we are urged to press on toward the fullness of Agape Love.  We fully understand that our case is closed for The Holy Spirit dwells in us now and we are no longer searching for purification from our past sins.

Our pursuit will result in knowing Our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ more intimately.  Is there anything more precious to seek after than this?  In such an intimate relationship, Jesus is able to entrust His thought to us without reservation.  He will have no concern of abuse, control, or manipulation of revelation given to those of us who have such a relationship with Him.  This is what it means to be walking in FATHER’S Normal.

Finding Normal- Part 2

There is only one mediator between GOD and man- Jesus Christ.  Paul wrote by The Holy Spirit in 1 Timothy chapter 2 to reveal and affirm this Absolute Truth:

5 For God is one, and there is one Mediator between God and the sons of men—the true man, Jesus, the Anointed One. 6 He gave himself as ransom-payment for everyone. Now is the proper time for God to give the world this witness. 7 I have been divinely called as an apostle to preach this revelation, which is the Truth. God has called me to be a trustworthy teacher to the nations.

You and I do not need a man or woman to be our go-between with FATHER.  Once Jesus became our Mediator, no one else is ever needed no matter what religion tells us.  I don’t need a pope, priest, senior pastor, prophet, or any other person to intervene on my behalf for I already Jesus Christ as my mediator.

I am not equipped to be my own mediator just as none of the Jewish priests could settle matters beyond the temporary as they entered into the Holy of Holies here on earth.  The best defense attorney in the world is ill-equipped to defend my weaknesses and unrighteousness before the ONE WHO knows absolutely everything about me.

Reverencing Jesus Christ is paramount to us establishing FATHER’S “normal” in our lives.  It is my intent to exalt Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior everyday for He deserves my praise and worship as does FATHER.

Paul wrote by The Holy Spirit in 1 Corinthians chapter 15:

12 The message we preach is Christ, who has been raised from the dead. So how could any of you possibly say there is no resurrection of the dead? 13 For if there is no such thing as a resurrection from the dead, then not even Christ has been raised. 14 And if Christ has not been raised, all of our preaching has been for nothing and your faith is useless. 15 Moreover, if the dead are not raised, that would mean that we are false witnesses who are misrepresenting God. And that would mean that we have preached a lie, stating that God raised him from the dead, if in reality he didn’t.

16 If the dead aren’t raised up, that would mean that Christ has not been raised up either. 17 And if Christ is not alive, you are still lost in your sins and your faith is a fantasy. 18 It would also mean that those believers in Christ who have passed away have simply perished. 19 If the only benefit of our hope in Christ is limited to this life on earth, we deserve to be pitied more than all others!

My message to you is the same as Paul’s- I preach Christ, Who has been raised from the dead.  As I have shared in the past, I have faced death five times in the past… I don’t recommend the experiences.  However, FATHER spoke to me and said “You will live and not die.”  I put my entire trust in My Lord and Savior Jesus Christ and no one else.  I am forever grateful for FATHER’S rich grace and mercy as HE saved me from peril.  Was I perfect at the time of each event?  Far from it and that is one reason for my appreciation of HIS intense Agape Love in my life.

Paul further wrote:

20 But the truth is, Christ is risen from the dead, as the firstfruit of a great resurrection harvest of those who have died. 21 For since death came through a man, Adam, it is fitting that the resurrection of the dead has also come through a man, Christ. 22 Even as all who are in Adam die, so also all who are in Christ will be made alive. 23 But each one in his proper order: Christ, the firstfruits, then those who belong to Christ in His presence.

I belong to Christ and so do you who have given your lives over to Him.  We can enter into His presence, not on our own merits but by HIS undying Love for us.  Paul understood this revelation especially having been a known enemy to Christ before his encounter with Jesus.

57 But we thank GOD Our Father for giving us the victory as conquerors through our Lord Jesus, the Anointed One. 58 So now, beloved ones, stand firm and secure. Live your lives with an unshakable confidence. We know that we prosper and excel in every season by serving the Lord, because we are assured that our union with the Lord makes our labor productive with fruit that endures.

When we live in FATHER’S “Normal”, we produce fruit that endures.  That should be our expectation as we walk out each day.

Finding Normal

My wife and I recently watched a movie on Pureflix titled “Finding Normal”.  A female doctor was traveling cross country through Louisiana and was stopped for speeding just outside of a town named “Normal”.  She was arrested for the multiple traffic tickets she never paid in Los Angeles.  In the course of the movie, she discovered what “normal” really is in this small town.  FATHER intends for us to discover HIS normal rather than living according to the world’s “abnormal” disguised as normal.

Peter wrote in his 2nd Epistle in chapter 1 by The Holy Spirit:

1 This letter is from Simeon Peter, a loving servant and an apostle of Jesus Christ. I am writing to those who have been given a faith as equally precious as ours through the righteousness of our God and Savior, Jesus Christ. 2 May grace and perfect peace cascade over you as you live in the rich knowledge of God and of Jesus our Lord.

We are to live in that rich knowledge revealed to us by FATHER and Jesus Christ.  There are those who are satisfied with gazing at “normal” from a distance and go about their daily lives pursuing the temporary nature of “abnormal”.  They fail to realize the benefits of grace and perfect peace.  Once you have tasted perfect peace, returning to the previous walk has absolutely no appeal.  Peter continued:

3 Everything we could ever need for life and complete devotion to GOD has already been deposited in us by HIS Divine power. For all this was lavished upon us through the rich experience of knowing HIM who has called us by name and invited us to come to HIM through a glorious manifestation of his goodness. 4 As a result of this, HE has given you magnificent promises that are beyond all price, so that through the power of these tremendous promises you can experience partnership with the Divine Nature, by which you have escaped the corrupt desires that are of the world.

I urge you to ponder this passage and not allow the revelation contained therein to escape your understanding.  Everything we need has been deposited in each of us by FATHER’S Divine Power awaiting our access.

Men’s soulish understanding would have us believe that we must wait for some feast day or travel to some destination where FATHER has shown up in the past to experience HIS Normal.  Their minds keep throwing out the thoughts which begin with “If I could only…”.  Peter clearly states where that Divine Power resides.  The issue is one of disconnect and lack of true understanding.

FATHER has called each of us by name.  Do you really think that you are reading these words by coincidence?  FATHER is moving us forward and upward, line by line, revelation by revelation.

FATHER is inviting us to come to HIM through the revelation of this glorious manifestation of his goodness but we must embrace and fully accept these Words which are meant specifically for us today.  Furthermore, through the power of these tremendous promises we can experience partnership with the Divine Nature once and for all.

FATHER has called us “partners” if we are willing to accept and walk in this designation of our relationship with HIM.  HE has given us power to become Sons and Daughters but we must accept HIS power and walk in It.  This is what HE calls “normal”.  Are we ready to find “normal” and stay there?  I am and trust you are too.
