Thankfully, it’s never too late! If you are reading these posts now, then it’s not too late for a renewed commitment! It doesn’t matter how old you are, how badly you’ve blown it in the past; or what horrible things you’ve done; or how many times you have failed. That’s what 1 John 1:9 is all about: “If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and cleanse us from all unrighteousness.” In other words, one choice and we can be back on the road (God’s Highway) again toward becoming an overcomer! I have learned myself to be quick to repent and move on!
Overcomers are not perfect. They fail just like the rest of us, but they keep on getting up, keep on repenting, and keep on being willing to surrender themselves to Christ and letting Him, Who is the only perfect One, work and produce “fruit” through them.
God promises us that if we are faithful over a few things here, then He will give us authority over many things there (Matthew 25:21).
That’s His promise! That’s our hope! And that’s the tree of Life!
Remember, it is not how you start the race, it is how you finish!
