The Current Futility

One only has to stand back and look at the big picture to see futility all around us.  What is false, people now call truth.  The Supreme Court redefines marriage.  When does life begin for a child?  Perverseness is now called acceptable and the list grows long.  Paul wrote in 1 Corinthians chapter 3:

18 Let no one deceive himself. If anyone among you seems to be wise in this age, let him become a fool that he may become wise.

19 For the wisdom of this world is foolishness with God. For it is written, “He catches the wise in their own craftiness”;

20 and again, “The LORD knows the thoughts of the wise, that they are futile.”

This passage describes the “wise” of today who think they have everything under control.  Their blindness will soon be exposed by judgment upon the nations.  Greed is at the root of the current path toward destruction and men will manipulate any situation to improve their financial position because they believe in a world of scarcity rather than one of abundance.  They believe they must seek out a position where leverage can help them reach their goal.  They have no trust in Our Heavenly Father and HIS assigned calling on their life.  These are vessels of dishonor.

The more there is at stake, the more subtle greed becomes.  The Age of Pentecost has seen the subtleness of the love of money.  Men no longer believe that FATHER is the supplier of resources but rely on their own prowess to provide what they seek.  The result is an insatiable desire for more and it is never fulfilled.  What is the solution?  If greed represents lawlessness and futility, the Love and cheerful giving represent righteousness.  If you ever hope to overcome your scarcity mentality, you must learn to be a cheerful giver and continually reinforce this walk.  It cannot be mandated and forced upon you as the church has attempted countless times.  Greed will reason away any attempt to take this narrow path toward righteousness.  This is because you really don’t trust FATHER to be your Provider.  When given the opportunity, your left brain will analyze and reason away any instruction to give.

In 2 Corinthians chapter 9 we find a specific Truth that cannot be ignored:

6 But this I say: He who sows sparingly will also reap sparingly, and he who sows bountifully will also reap bountifully.

7 So let each one give as he purposes in his heart, not grudgingly or of necessity; for God loves a cheerful giver.

My household has consistently applied this reality in our lives for years and you can be sure we have been tested in this area.  I know firsthand that when I respond to FATHER’S instruction to give, I partake of HIS abundance of resources.  As I write, the universe continues its expansion, new stars and planets are being created, yet mankind continues fighting over resources controlled by the few.

Do you purpose in your heart to give?  Be truthful.  Your bank account reflects what is in your heart.  Actions speak louder than words.  I write these words to provide to reveal a simple Truth to deal with lack in your life.  This Truth is counterintuitive to what your left brain is telling you.  Your soulish man would tell you that you must hoard money and things for the future whereas the above Truth tells you to sow into others and you will be reap bountifully.  Those who will be chosen out of the “called” will have received the fullness of this revelation.  Do you think FATHER will select those who reap sparingly to establish HIS Kingdom?  The nice thing about writing a blog, I know the reader is not compelled to take action as a result.  If you were in a congregation where all eyes are on the offering plate, you would have peer pressure.  In this case, only you and FATHER know what action you will take… or fail to take.

You must alone assess what is in your heart.  Those currently in control are blind to the Truth that will soon be unveiled and they will realize the futility in the path they have chosen.  When their barns have been burned up and they have lost all they trusted in, they will experience great sorrow and regret.  This Holy fire will remove the chaff in people’s lives.
