Doubt Your Doubts

In Ephesians chapter 6 Paul wrote:

13 Therefore take up the whole armor of God, that you may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand.

14 Stand therefore, having girded your waist with truth, having put on the breastplate of righteousness,

15 and having shod your feet with the preparation of the gospel of peace;

16 above all, taking the shield of faith with which you will be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked one.

17 And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God;

Most of us are quite familiar with this passage and I believe that familiarity sometimes causes us a problem.  Back in the early 1980’s I was living in Divine health for years when suddenly I contracted hepatitis from shellfish.  I asked FATHER why?  HE told me I was “void” of HIS Word yet I was constantly studying the Word, listening to audio tapes, and reading books by those in the ministry.  When I challenged HIS answer  (in my youth) HE replied “When is that last time you studied MY Word on healing?”   Oops!  It had been quite a while since I had not been sick for years.  Point made!

We must stay well rounded in our Spiritual focus and studying HIS Word daily is an important part.  By setting aside quiet time and seeking HIM for the topic of the day, you will keep the whole armor of FATHER on and be prepared for the fiery darts of the devil.  His primary dart is doubt.  In the garden he used doubt on Eve.  In the wilderness he attempted to cause Jesus to doubt HIS calling and purpose.

In Mark chapter 11 Jesus spoke:

22 So Jesus answered and said to them, “Have faith in God.

23 For assuredly, I say to you, whoever says to this mountain, ‘Be removed and be cast into the sea,’ and does not doubt in his heart, but believes that those things he says will be done, he will have whatever he says.

24 Therefore I say to you, whatever things you ask when you pray, believe that you receive them, and you will have them.

Men and women have moved away from the active WORD of FATHER in the areas of faith and healing.  They have replaced this focus with passive acceptance of fate and the healthcare system.  Let us set aside such passivity and return to the empowered Word of FATHER.  Let us no longer doubt HIS Word but instead doubt our doubts that have caused us to become lax in our pursuit of HIS high calling.  Let us be reinvigorated by returning to the simplicity of HIS Word and standing in faith and trust HIM to perform HIS Word in our lives.  HIS Remnant will not be denied and when you have done all to stand, STAND!

PS:  I repented of being void of the Word in healing and immersed myself in HIS Word on healing.  HE healed me in 11 days of the most severe case of hepatitis the doctor had seen.  I was suppose to be 8 weeks in recovery if I didn’t die.  I was grateful then and I am grateful today.
